I was at the game in Barcelona. At the end I could see the players were physically and probably mentally exhausted.
I expected wholsesale changes and an under par performance being a strong possibility.
Kille, as TTTT said, did to us what we did to Barcelona and worked their socks off against a team not quite able to match them because of their mid week extertions.
Kenny Shiels had them well up for a physically hard game and Kille deserved the result.
It is always 11 v 11, just as it was in Barcelona.

We were pedestrian today up until the last 15 mins or so when you keep the ball you must pass it about with pace and direction both of whitch we didnt have.Up fromt Miku didnt get much service but he looks poor and big Efe was lazy with his passing at times big Victor must have been sitting on the bench thinking this lot need me really badly as our midfield was poor Mulgrew is never a midfielder and Keny Shiels appears to have the measure of Lennie and James Forrest for only 15 mins of real effort in the game in my opinion isnt worth his place. However,I would rather get a wake up call like todays from Killie in the league than in the Champions league.H.H.
The difference between the Killie players and our players are much, much closer than our players and Barca’s players.
Barca can spend 30 mill on a player, and when you are spending money like that, you can expect the finished product.
Another thing, we are not in debt, Barca are to the tune of 500 or so million, easy enough to buy players for 30 mill when you don’t have to worry about the pennies.

KK and others – the performance today was one of the laziest and worst I have ever seen. The support are absolutely within their rights to boo if they like and damn right people shouting unnacceptable – because it was.
There are some people who believe the support should just give the club money and never complain – that will be right.

I will keep going back to what I believe to be true.
When you spend serious millions on a player, they hardly ever let you down, when you get players for free and on loan, or pay about a million, you get what you pay for.
That is not a crit of the players, you get what you pay for, and today showed that, unfortunatly most of them had an off day at the same time.
Days like today, we missed the drive of Scott Brown, or a Sammi.
They are- were as good as they can be on the day.

Kenny Shiels had them well up for a physically hard game and Kille deserved the result.
Shiels is a good manager and seems like a good man too. I like hearing his comments, he’s passionate, knowledgeable and generally bang-on.
Prior to kick off he was warming his players up behind the goals, very hands-on. His team responded and were very animated, passionate and physically dominant.
They seemed able to brush Celtic players aside today and had real success pressing the Celt on-the ball.
On another day Ledley would have scored Miku’s knock down, Hooper would have converted the near post chance and Watt would have squared to Hooper late on.
Massive European sized hangover from Celtic against a side whose coach has a game plan, that can repeatedly thwart Celtic.
However, if you saw that result coming you should take up gambling, if you haven’t already.
Not a single Celtic player played well individually, and as a group Celtic were ungrouped, the support sensed a reverse, as early as when Cillian Sheridan rounded the somehow stranded Fraser Foster.
A single mistake in the first, and a trip for a penalty in the second was all it took with ten men behind the ball and Celtic’s mysterious lethargy, it was another bad day at the office, for Timdom.
Neil Lennon has the right to be able to shuffle his squad, and with the players he had at his disposal this was as Jekyll and Hyde as it gets, in comparison to last week in Paisley, leaving aside the CL.
At least there will be no scapegoating because no one graced the Celtic shirt, apart from The Shabby Chapeau for his excellent hospitality, chaffeuring, and saving me from another of eurochamps67’s ear bashings.

Today was disappointing of course but I’m not going to complain after the heart and soul we saw on Tues against Barça. In the long term, our European prospects will be far better if we’re playing in a competitive league.

You are right about the treatment Miku was getting from some of our “supporters” was horrible.
Not so long ago Samaras was the target for the misguided.
Seen a few mention in here that so called fans were booing at the end.

I had a major distraction today with Sandy due to hit early Monday.
I think my lack of concentration on the game was conveyed to the players.
It seems we need Brown more than we have previously admitted.
The biggest loss today was our pride.
This embarrassment will not stop us winning the SPL, which is priority #1.
It will enable Neil to determine who he can rely on in the CL cauldron.
So back to hurricane preparations.
I have a full supply of meds, batteries, food and water.
I’ll go back to clearing the leaves from drainage channels and connecting vital services to the generator: sump pump, fridge, TV and network router.
There weren’t too many left to boo at the end. Ten minutes to go exodus today. Kilmarnock got their game plan right and deserve credit. Very cold today too.

Across the ether the consensus is that it was ” the Barça hangover “. Is that not acceptable? And a result like this is not uncommon at this stage of the season.
Also, the close calls were endless, so it’s not a cause for angst ; it would be if there was a pattern of such results, but there’s not, and entitlement is not ours. Look at where that attitude has taken others.
I listened to the game on shortbread ( for my sins ) and the commentators were practically creaming themselves at the result. That, at least, made me laugh. They could not celebrate a great Killie win, but crow about a Celtic loss. That is the state of things.

In another part of my demented cranium I see myself at Celtic Park on Nov.7th. up in Section 108 going mental as Messi gets dispossessed and we score the first of 5.
Great points, we didn’t play well, Killies effort was far greater than ours, the ref did what they do, giving advantages to us when there was none, but we just didn’t play well, it happens.
But some fans need to take a look at how they support the team, booing Celtic after the game midweek, regardless of the result today, people leaving 15minutes early, lots of them.
That is not supporting your team.
Neil Lennon will be hurting more than any of us tonight and I trust him 100% to get the team right for Tuesday.

The lack of movement really concerns me too. The coaching team and the players should be forced to sit down and watch a video of Nakamura in action. Pass & move, pass & move….it’s not rocket science FFS!
