  1. Over the 90 minutes we created enough to win much more comfortably than 2-1.

A very familiar feeling to the game, although we do see to be getting better when we’re good. Not improving when we’re put under any sort of pressure unfortunately

  2. Agreed Markiebhoy. Too similar. Both good players but playing both is a luxury we can’t afford.

  3. Both Taylor and Kenny put good balls into the box as usual our forwards didn’t finish with a better ratio of chances made .

Taylor doesn’t have to get to the by line , he only needs to get the ball into our players in the box , his stats would look better if big ED had his shooting boots on from the start of the season and not squandered so many chances which then heaps pressure on our fragile/ vulnerable defence .Imo.

Showing signs there’s a good team there , just need fitness levels upped / or introduced lol.

i also thought it was good to see how we functioned without Christie .

  4. ST TAMS – he didn’t select that team then tell them them to pass up chances.

Big Eddie sticks that header away to make it 2 changes the game.

  5. observation , Ajer is never a centre back , he canny jump and we wonder why we are rank rotten at defending set pieces but Julien and Bitton are worse to be honest.

When we play with as much intensity as today it’s unrealistic to expect the team to keep up the tempo of the first 60 minutes for the whole 90.

No team can press as high and as intensely as we did and attack at that speed and not expect to drop off a bit. We cant attack for the full 90, but thats what we appear to need to do to not concede.

  7. Blantyre, yes he halved wee Jeremy frimpong in the away game.

But it’s ok because we won.

  8. Both Taylor and Kenny put good balls into the box as usual our forwards didn’t finish with a better ratio of chances made .

defenders want an early ball into the box as they are facing away from their goal they hate the ball getting cut back from the bye line and facing their own goal.

  9. How many times are there free headers in the box,and nobody on the posts? Bain has zero presence.

In my opinion most teams in the league are happy for teams like us to play in front of them.

Hitting the by-line gives them a different problem. No centre half wants to be facing his own

goal with the ball between himself and the keeper.

Yes he does attempted leg break against Frimpong got away with during game (no laughing at the back) I think was cited for it afterwards, not that him being banned against other teams help us.

Hun Walsh should be asked to camera why when he saw both assualts he reckoned they were only yellows, of course he can’t if he saw them then he’s a cheat if he didn’t why did he award free kicks and book the players?

    There are positives.

For me, it’s important to identify those positives which can take us forward. Those positives we can build on. Those positives we can develop throughout season 21/22.

I would not include those players on loan or leaving. For the same reason, I would not include the current mgt team.

Any other positives, I’m all for them

  13. We played very well for 70 minutes, We were 2 up & the wonder was how we weren’t 4 or 5 up.

They got a goal out of nothing & suddenly it was the old familiar wtf feeling.

Aided by a compliant Ref who decided the game needed a bit of drama & awarded a non existent free kick, we were hanging on & almost dropped another 2 points at the very end.

It’s the old half full or half empty decision.

You can reflect on the 70 minutes of good football & dominance or the last 5 minutes of edge of the seat stuff.

I don’t think we missed Christie today . Played well in the first half but for the amount of possession we had esp in the final third , the M’well keeper had little to do . Seems like every time we broke quickly , the break stalled around their box and the old sideways/backward shuffle took over until we inevitably lost possession.

Some lovely crisp passing with no end product was frustrating . Then of course , step forward the seive , and it’s panic stations . I would have taken 2-1 before the game but the way it panned out just showed the limitations we’ve been suffering from all season .

  15. team was ok,3 subs in 3 minutes, all over the place, every time the subs weaken is,how can it be?

  16. I’m not a Lenny hater. I’ve played golf with him a few times. A nicer man you won’t meet….and believe me he IS a Celtic man, but, I personally don’t think he can take the team any further. We need new blood, new ideas, a whole new perspective

  17. Glad to have 3 points and watch some good one touch passing. After 70 minutes I was screaming “who’s got the caffiene suppositries” Anway a victory

  18. Some of the 1&2 touch football today was excellent if anyone is looking for positives

I did shout at the tele box in the last 10 minute, when we had a breakaway on and decided to wait and then pass the ball back words.

But the way we played the first half and how the ball looked to only move forward gave me a great deal of hope.

Over the 90 minutes there was much more to that performance than 3 points.

  20. blantyretim is praying for the Knox family on

I thought the Motherwell keeper had a least 2 fantastic saves in 2nd half

  21. Go tell the Spartim on

As for the ref, he was a couple of years above junior at school, think he’s just out his depth, Cole kick out at Soro would’ve been red card anywhere else apart from MMA

  22. Well done Celtic, just keep going & ignore the……..

If it’s the players that have let NL down then mibbes there’ll be a clear out right enough but DD might back him to rebuild with a fighting squad of his own stamp. Maybe results & performance will return, I suppose that’ll mean there will be a lot of Celtic supporters with nothing to do of a weekend, bit of a problem for them if NL and his team reignite. Anyone who thinks DD is gonna buckle under fan pressure might be in for a surprise.

  23. 31003-I don’t think anyone is a Lenny hater.

    At least I hope not.

    But time to move on

Leeds, Man City seem to be able too. That’s proof enough for me.

Positives for me, most played well individually, perhaps not so much Bain. Crisp one touch varied play for the first 2/3, subs, lack of fitness, shape or plan made it edgy.
