    To sight Chelsea, a team where the players gave up on Jose is stretching it a tad, and LvG doesn’t have a scooby, he also doesn’t play 4231.

     

    Agreed all systems are nullified over time, but if you can enlighten me on what system will nullify 4231 I would be delighted to hear it, as would many coaches in the EPL, La Liga, Seri A and many other leagues.

    I heard Bertie auld on shortbread before the game. He is an inspirational guy and speaks beautifully on matters Celtic. He would bleed green and white and is a true legend, both for his exploits on the park and for how we represents our club and relates to the fans.

     

     

    However on the point you make that the Lisbon lions would put any fans concerned at the current state of Celtic to shame, I would take issue with you.

     

     

    These posters you refer to are concerned at the mediocre results and performances being delivered by Celtic. Lisbon lions too have felt such concerns at various points in their lifetime. For example, Billy McNeill freely admits that he wanted to leave Celtic earlier in his career for Tottenham Hotspur as he was so concerned at the mediocrity permeating Celtic and the complacent way the club was being run. It’s all there in his autobiography.

     

     

    Voicing concern at underachievement doesn’t make you any less of a Celt than anyone else. Burying your head in the sand……well that panned out well for the Huns.

    To those wacthing the game, perhaps on tv overseas, you may not discern what this was, a capitulation.

     

     

    When we went behind there was not a “Celtic type” reaction. No fight, no passion…….soul-less.

     

     

    We are lost under this lot. Clueless in the dug-out; aimless in the boardroom. Brown seems to be the only guy who would recognise the fight that Celtic players were instlled with.

     

     

    I know some of you see a vision for Ronny………..he sounds great but he can’t manufacture the reality of what he espouses. Disagree, huh ? Well how fit do our players seem to you ?

     

     

    Today, when they scored their winner we resorted to high ball tactics to the lumbering Cole and dysfunctional Ciftci………..punting the ball……….after we took off our winger of course.

     

     

    A humbling, frustrating and frightening experience.

    Probably the great Dessy is probably only coming to town to do an interview bigging up Sevco and their great support and history and spouting forth on how Celtic and Sevco – or rangers as he calls them – will be playing in the EPL in a few years time. Get your jam tomorrow folks!

    Ronny burned his last bridge with me after the Molde game at Celtic Park. That night confirmed my suspicions he didn’t have a clue.

     

     

    Its now a case of how far we slide before he’s sacked.

     

     

    Personally I’d take a few more league defeats like today in order to make sure he’s not in the dugout come August.

    Just back from CP, was going to say worst performance of the season but typical performance would probably be closer to the truth.

     

    Three home defeats on the bounce, four home games without a win.

     

    We are a poor team. Amongst the dross and mediocrity of our squad there’s some very good players, unfortunately the manager can’t work out how to get the best from them.

     

    Ronny talks a good game, but his players can’t do what he says. Or is it he can’t get the best out of the players he has? Post match he said we didn’t play at a high enough tempo, yet he picks Bitton, Rogic & Commons, all of whom slow the play down. He says didnt have enough width and played too narrow, yet he takes off the one winger we had and brings on another central midfield player. Is the plan with Allan to ruin confidence and form the same way we have with Armstrong?

     

    Ronny built his Stromgodset team around fast counter attacking football. Celtic don’t play that type of football at CP as the opposition tend to sit in and counter attack us. Our performances are better away from home because teams tend to attack us more (including in Europe this season).

     

    We need to either back the manager and get in the type of players who can play in the style he wants us to play, or get a manager who can get the best out our current squad and work out a way of breaking teams down at CP. Either way, the status quo shouldn’t be an option (although I suspect it will be).

    st. stivs … I had asked that question a while ago. He has some good ideas, but is clearly not ready for the number 1 job, but would have been a good no. 2. Unfortunately, I dont think that is an option …. cant see him accepting a step back. And to be fair to the man, very few would.

    should have been a more convincing win – I only saw the 2nd half and you have to say it was embarrassing – did the Well keeper even have to make a creditable save? Scott Allen – when he comes on – out on the left – management team can only explain that one – I or no one else I guess can get a head around that one. Celtic are looking too beatable these days – something that won’t have gone unnoticed in Aberdeen or Edinburgh – thats not good – it won’t be a won at a canter if it all – thats for sure! Yes the Griff was missing but then he could have a few one-off-days along the way al la Ajax – the best of the majestic & maverick SB is now playing like a faded 45 and JF continues to ebb and flow – when he is actually on the park! CM is crocked and decent player as he is he is no game-changer! I chose to go with RD but taking that 2nd half in today you have to really ask “where is the progress?”. It’s simply not there! Ahh the winds of change! That could be a little while off – after all we are Celtic! Sorry Cesar if you were exposed to that today – you didn’t deserve that!

    On a day when the club reveal the statue of our greatest ever captain of think the lack of fight and drive was terrible.

     

     

    Late in the game we could all see that our youngest player was dead on his feet – he passed the ball on the half way line to calum m . No one within 20 yards of him as well dropped back.

    Just back in from the game. Absolutely dire and can’t see it getting better anytime soon . Ronny refuses to change same tactics same playing players out of position same poor passing losing possession . Scott McDonald bullied our back four all game while our lone striker toiled big time. His refusal to change is going to cost him his job .
