  1. Good morning CQN

Outclassed by an expensively assembled team, but who have clearly been well coached, no excuses on the night, PSG played Barca football however far to soon to declare them the best ever time will tell if this team equals the success of the Andrés Iniesta inspired Barca team

Embarrassed by a moron exhibiting hun instincts and a stewarding failure which allowed said moron on the park to aim a kick at young Mbappe, apologies to Monsieur Mbappe this is not the Celtic way, the fans in the standing area who were applauding this moron need to have a long hard look at themselves as well

New sight to see our manager so disheartened and downbeat this quote sums it up “You have to look after the ball and make it work for you and, first half, we didn’t do that – we played like under-12s at times,” Rodgers said. We were hugely disappointing defensively last night that’s 9 goals we have conceded in our last two C/L games, Brendan has to find a system which stops us being ripped open so easily, i fear Brendans high pressing game will have to be modified as we dont have the quality in a back four to sustain it

  2. JAMESGANG on 13TH SEPTEMBER 2017 7:36 AM

Said to the big Bhoy beside me pre match that beating PSG couldn’t match beating Barca. PSG were an expensively assembled squad, not a great club or team honed together.

    How wrong was I!

Beating that team would have been an achievement some way greater than beating Barca. PSG’s fearless creativity inside their own box was incredible to watch. And their defensive harrying in packs in our half was hugely impressive.

We were offered a lesson. Learn from it.

Ralston. Glad he stayed on for the full 90 to become a Bhoy and a man.

    ……………………………….

    Spot on JAMESGANG.

Re their defensive play OUT of defense was breath taking at times.

At one point in the 2nd half, a PSG player had the ball inside their penalty area ( at our main stand side) it may have been Dani Alves ?…but anyway as the Celtic player tried to close him down, the PSG guy actually gave our Bhoy the ” EYES”…by looking one way, and passing the ball in the opposite direction !

We normally only see such play and confidence in midfield and when a team are attacking…it was the 1st time I can recall seeing a player doing it inside his own penalty area.

    Lunatic invader,

As I posted earlier celtic should bring a private prosecution against him when he is found guilty in Court…let him pay any UEFA Fine.

He wont be doing that again in a hurry.

I think you meant, in a make shift back four. Either that wait for it (Boyatta & co), or post £200 million.

  4. As disappointed as I was with the result, it’s nothing compared with the moronic behavior of so many of our supporters both during and after the game. I’m utterly embarrassed by the racist rants regarding Neymar’s supposed blanking Ralston. At times I was wondering if I’d stepped into a BNP party political broadcast than a Celtic football forum. Ralston made an issue out of nothing. Nobody is obliged to shake an opponents hand especially if theres been sledging going on which there no doubt was. If someone had gave me verbal abuse for 2 hours I’d never shake their hand whether I won or lost. The racism towards Neymar that followed is a shame and a total showing up of Britain’s and Scotland’s culture. It’s simply not right and if I had my way every single person who posted a racist comment would be publicly banned from Celtic park for good and they can go and follow follow someone else instead if they like.

  5. What is the Stars on

    Rien,je ne regrette rien

    Actually 2 regrets.

    One.

not meeting up with the boys in the Blane Valley. I was actually outside at 5 where I met cousin.he had arranged a meal in a nearby restaurant so my plans changed.

    Apologies to all.

    Two

The scoreline. Not the performance. Just the score. PSG are some team. We could play them every night for a year and try every formation known to man and still lose.

It is what it is. Bring on Anderlecht.

    Rien je ne regrette rien

  6. Ross County…Dundee ….HUNS………………..you 3 will ALL suffer for this big time when the Celts get a hold of ye in the next 10 days…be afraid…be very afraid !

just a wee point, If any of our Bhoys struggled last night partly due to playing and carrying the SFA X1 in recent weeks…..then there is only one answer FTSFA !

  7. Joe Filippis Haircut on

The morning after the night before well Brendan saying we played like 12 year olds were we that good ? Panning the team in public is wrong Brendan you picked it you decided the tatics so you shoulder some of the blame. It is clear money talks and PSG spent plenty while Celtic had a cautious transfer window one thing for sure the Celtic support will soon get fed up paying for Champions league football to see the team getting humped on a regular basis . I fear that finishing third in the group is a hard ask for us to see us as European whipping boys could be a concern and is sad time for Celtic the only positive is the income we will receive but as I said earlier if we continue to get humped in Europe the fans will stop attending the games. As for the half-wit who ran on to the park I hope he gets banned for life.So I will like the rest of the support try to forget last night but remember just how good PSG were, H.H.

  8. My apologises too for not making it to the BV, but I posted yesterday afternoon that I wasnt feeling too good and I intended to stay at home ( not drink related), and I faced having to depend on the Radio ?

As game time approached…around 6.45, you have never seen a man getting washed and changed so quickly….I was AFF OOT to watch the Celts nearby, and then home straight after the match.

Maybe meet some of the CQN Bhoys this Saturday in BV ?

    HH

  9. Bob I’Baldy – racist comments on here? If so name and shame the posters and quote what they posted for the attention of the mods.

I haven’t read anything since about 10.30 or 11 last night. Must be after that as I don’t recall anything prior to it.

  10. BIG JIMMY on 13TH SEPTEMBER 2017 8:05 AM

Celtic’s hired starlet hands wont give a feck burning themselves out representing the SFA on a pretentious jolly, more’s the pity.

    HH

  11. The folly of a pot4 side taking to the field with a makeshift defence was very evident last night. The CH issue should have been addressed in the window and the manager has to bare the responsibility for this. We will face the same defensive problems in a fortnight.

  12. O.G.RAFFERTY on 12TH SEPTEMBER 2017 9:22 PM

    Neymar booked for diving

    …………….

I have to disagree mate, watch it again.

yes he dived, but Ref just waved play on as he sat on the ground, and then started greetin and waving his arms about….thats when Ref ( imo) ran over and booked him for his show of dissent.

  13. Robert Tressell

Apologies i was referring specifically to a bunch of Facebook posts from Celtic forums. I have no idea what was posted on here last night.

  14. And another thing……

Such was the speed and effectiveness of their counter attacks that they looked likely to score every time we were in THEIR box!!

    Big Jimmy.

I watched Dani Alvez play that move.

Watched him also just stand and size up Sinclair as he started to run at him then nick the ball from him.

Alzev looked like he was playing 5s by the end.

Amazing skills from him and the rest.

Pass and move with sublime touch. Ye cannae whack it.

  15. One question…..

Can anyone on here name just ONE World Class Centre Half, who’s club would have been happy to sell to Celtic, and said World Class Centre Half is willing to take a probable massive wage reduction, and willing to also come and ply his trade in not so Bonnie Scotland ?

Please name who that World Class Centre Half would have been or is ?

Even IF someone on here can name one of these mythical creatures……….would you also be privvy to know for sure 100%, if said World Class Centre Half would want to even CONSIDER playing in not so bonnie Scotland ?

Answer on the back of a feckin Stamp ?

The manager is at fault for our nations plight vis a vis tv income?

    Sure thing Dumbo.

  17. GlassTwoThirdsFull on

    Well, that was humbling.

Wasn’t at all surprised by the quality of Rabiot – was outstanding in the first leg v Barcelona last season, although he played much deeper in that game.

Not much you can do when players of that quality play at their best.

Disappointed with some of our ball watching. The last thing you want to do is to make it easier for teams like these.

Ball retention (when we had it!) was poor – a bit surprised McGregor didn’t get any game time.

  18. JAMESGANG on 13TH SEPTEMBER 2017 8:21 AM

    And another thing……

    ……………………………..

See that Dani Alves…he wouldn’t get a game for us !

    LOL.

HH mate, and thanks for confirming the PSG player that did the ” EYES” at that particular point, I thought it was Dani Alves /

  19. Nye Bevans' rebel soldier on

Taken apart by a superb team(financial skulduggery aside)thought they

were as good as any side I’ve seen at CP that aside we can play better.

LIONR0ARS67…….I’m in 112 genuinely didn’t see anyone applauding the

idiot, he was getting pelters from what I could see.

  20. The No.13 Shorts on

Bookie slips for ticker-tape. Good night for the bookies in Glasgow ladt night. 13/1 now looks like very generous odds. We’ll always have the occassional night where everything clicks; the fans; the team; the luck, but, largely, given our environment, our financial model, and the Champions League qualification and group set-up, it’s a bleak outlook in that competition. It’ll also realistically be a tough ask against Anderlecht i reckon, but as with last year, we’ll improve as a team in the next 8 weeks.

Moving on to bigger battles, I dearly hope we have built up some really heavy ammunition and plenty of dirty tricks up our sleeve, the trusted channels to apply them and a determination to use them to take on the SFA, not to mention the Scottish establishment.

A more uneven fight than the footballing equivilant that left us bloodied last night. Let’s hope we are all up to the task because a dirty war is at play that we will not win. To me It’s about revenge now, not justice.

  21. Right Celtic lets rack up the goals big time against County, Dundee and the Cheating, Ugly delusional Huns in the next 10 days…….

    Lets RIP them apart Celtic.

I’m in 107 i clearly seen in the lower area of the standing section the moron being applauded whilst escorted from the pitch, yes i agree in the rest of the stadium he was derided

  23. LIONROARS67 on 13TH SEPTEMBER 2017 7:46 AM

No one applauded the idiot in question other than to applaud him being taken away. If you interpreted that any other way yer tea’s oot.

  24. VFR800 is now a Monster 821 on

I’m in Section 111 and am disappointed to say that some at the front of the standing section were applauding him and criticising the stewards.

Also heard a few after the game having a good laugh about it. We do, sadly, have a moronic element in our support.

Well I suppose we know how Astana felt like, nearly every shot in the back of the net but that’s football and I would say they were a class above Man City from last season.

On another point what moron arranged all those roadworks east bound on the M8, newly laid yesterday evening , don’t they check the events happening in Glesga beforehand. Took nearly 3 hours to get back.

  26. PRESTONPANS BHOYS on 13TH SEPTEMBER 2017 8:41 AM

  28. It wasnt about signing a world class CH. You didnt need to be world class to head clear the cross for the second goal. We needed someone who could head a ball and has the ability to clear their lines. Without Boyata we dont have anyone to do this.

We are always going to be among the less affluent teams in the CL but we must use our resources better.

  29. Stunning display from PSG last night. We simply could not live with their pace and creativity. Too many players in awe of them. Rebiot gave a quite magnificent display; one of the best I’ve ever seen at CP.

Two major disappointments for me apart from the result obviously.

The wee moron who ran on the pitch. What the hell goes through someone’s mind to do that?

Brendan, unusually, threw the players under a bus in his press conference. Smacked of wasn’t my fault, Guv; nothing to do with me. I am still amazed and really disappointed by his reaction. The players, I suspect, may have lost a wee bit of respect for him today.

Finally, Neymar. What a despicable creature he is- a total ragbag. Well done, Anthony Ralston. Like KT we could have another gem in our midst.

Go check the stats, six on target, two saves. So four in the back of the net, then they got a og on top of that.

Surprisingly a lot of support for a tribunal even among hertz fans. Hun’s naturally don’t want to talk about it!

  33. Big Jimmy

Do you not believe Celtic should have done more to strengthen our defence. No one expects that we can buy a ready made world class defender or two. It appears we put all our apples in one basket with the SA lad and when that failed we scraped around for another loanee.

We are, right now, paper thin in defence. VVD was not a world class player when we signed him. Our scouts need to do a wee bit better on this front and with Brendan at least cast the net a wee bit wider.

Brendan is the best manager since MON. Like MON he will not get everything right every time. Not getting a CH was a failure in the last window.

Would it have made a massive difference last night? Likely not. But surely we have always got to look to improve and strengthen 1st eleven.

  34. JIMMCI on 13TH SEPTEMBER 2017 8:59 AM

That’s about as close as you’ll get to blaming Jesus for hosting the Last Supper.

  35. Seems to me like Brendan is using the opportunity to really drive home the lessons we need to learn from last night.

Unfortunately when their keeper was better at keeping the ball than anyone in our team you’ve got to ask how much experience and learning can make up for such a huge shortfall in ability

  36. Oh well! My French friend was so excited last night. His first visit to Celtic Park. I had talked it up, the stadium, the fans, the unbelievable atmosphere and our great team…I now have to face him later today. A wee bit embarrassed, humiliated even…oh! and he hates the Qatari obscene wealth as much as we do…but what a team he gets to see…not sure how Brendan will respond to this, it was a huge dent to his pride. He will want to be recognized as a top European coach, not a top Scottish coach……I don’t remember ever seeing such a performance as I saw last night from a visiting team. It was quite breathtaking at times…Mbappe, Neymar, Cavani, Rabiot, even sub Draxler….I really don’t know what we do or where we go in European terms now. The massively sloped playing field means this could become the norm, always kicking uphill…

Back to the drawing board Brendan…
