No one can surely defend Mr Lennon after another terrible performance from his team today. No heart, slow and gutless, in fact embarrassing but we have guys on this blog who think that because in their minds “he’s a legend” then criticism of him makes you a hun or a pantywetter or a mineshater. If we want the ten we need to do the right thing now, now when we slip further behind Sevco. Lennon must go now or the ten is under severe threat.

A couple of substitutions at half-time might not have changed the end result,
but would have been one less source of frustration today.

Professional, well run football clubs do NOT look for excuses for failure.
Fans can do it but when you have fans as managers or directors who do it – you’re in trouble.
Failing in Europe has been accepted by many because we’re punching above our weight & playing in a non competitive domestic league blah blah. But accepting failure is not a winning strategy in any professionally run club.
Our business model has been built on winning the league, playing in the Champions League & selling on players who’re prepared to sign for us just for that Champions League experience & exposure.
This is a house of cards which depends entirely on winning the SPFL but justifies failure elsewhere.
NFL got a break last year when in head to heads we were second best to another team yet still won the league & the League cup. As a club we failed to address that obvious gap between us & that other club for a variety of reasons that are well rehearsed on here & elsewhere.
Consistently getting bounced out of the Champions league by lesser but better coached teams has been ignored by the board just as long as we could win our league. That malaise of accepting & excusing failure is a cancer to any ambitious club, manager or player.
As GeeBee asked – who’d come to Celtic now – other than another fan of the club.
Why would any ambitious coach come to Celtic when the board lacks ambition & courage to affect change?
Changes are needed at board level to get this club onto a professional footing.
I’m away to get ready for the visit of my twin grand daughters who are 6 today.
They just call things as they see it & always want to learn.
Today was nothing out of the ordinary; we are flat, deadening to watch and we’re not exactly blessed in the coaching department. We’ve seen this film on repeat for months; today we played against a team who took their chances, that’s all.
Things were looking grim last season until Rangers form dropped off a cliff and we had a change of system which changed our performances.
One or both of these need to happen again this season because as things stand, we’re the second-best team in Scotland.

According to Lenny, we lacked experience and nous…calling BS on that. Only Frim and Welsh are inexperienced and I thought both were journeymen-standard throughout.
Where we also lacked experience was in the ability to do something different to counter being dominated.
Insanity, Lenny, is doing the same thing (against the same mob) over and over expecting different results.

they have played the exact same against us for 2 seasons, and mostly outplayed us comfortably in midfield, 1 up front doesn’t have to be defensive, if you have a good striker who can hold the ball in,and the likes of Elyounoussi, Rogic,Christie can play off him,the nearest striker to that just now is Ajeti, again no coaching re movement in forward areas,I think his tactics are,’ you’re a better player than him,go and do it….’
dessybhoy on
How many times do we have to see Ntcham play and just chuck it or be half hearted about everything he does, the manager calls him a technician well be technical elsewhere , Moi, not a chance unconvincing in everything he does this guy is another charlatan, McGregor is a ten if anything passing the ball sideways or getting from his lwb is useless, when we evetually get it to someone in an attacking position its passed inside and back, why not try 3 passes and we are running behind a defence or in on goal, we have an expensive collection of players but no idea of a best team , static lacking in fight determination and relying on a moment of excellence to win a game.
We need to change the manager and coaches but does Lawwell have the ok to do this from the major shareholder, we will not win the league with this setup at the club, Big Jocks record will be equalled not passed, they died so theirs doesn’t count, but an 8 year old club is bossing games against us very easily , that should be a major concern.

The rubbish performances against them come down to tactics, shape , organisation etc. Its all down to a difference in coaching.
