Missed the goal in real time, feckin thunder and lightning storms, managed to get the tele back on at haf time, saw the goal, magic so it was, still thot the winner was a superb move, the cut back was Barca esq.

Just home from the game. Three superb goals. Fantastic team performance and plaudits all round. A number of players deserve special mention:
Kris Commons strike to open the scoring was champions league quality.
Samaras’ first touch to bring the ball under control was real class, matched by his composure to beat the keeper – looked like a world class striker! His overall contribution was immense.
Efe Ambrose looked assured at the back, and was prepared to drive at the opposition committing any number of Karagandi players before playing an accurate pass. Often referred by some on CQN as a “bomb scare”, tonight he was outstanding and looked well worthy of his place in the team.
Listened to Neil Lennon’s post match comments in the car on the way home – he didn’t mince his words, did he?

Last week I described our team as disgraceful and questioned their worthiness to wear our jerseys ……..for this I am truly sorry
I think last week is possibly the best thing that may happen to us as tonight I saw a TEAM who played with passion and pride
Make no mistake we have players who love everything about our club and realise how lucky they are to play for it
How many other clubs can claim that in the champions league ? Not one I reckon
Thank you bhoys you are truly worthy of the Celtic jersey and I will never question any of your commitment ever again
God bless NFL – you are building something special

My only regret tonight was reacting to a “fan” nearby who
hoped J Forrest was too badly injured to play on as he was crap.
I really despair sometimes.
The guy shook my hand at the final whistle and shrugged
his shoulders.

Just in from pub, great result and all our players brought their A game tonight, and our gamble has paid off thank god, as the alternative would have seen a backward step by our club and momentum dropped from our great season last year. Would be imperative that NL is backed with hard cash for players to fill the gaps not projects, although they have their place. Interestingly all goals came from midfield players so we need some strikers please PL. No threat to cqn 5 a side with CL secured!
Wonder how much PL will get for Stokes now, i’ll just get my coat!!!

What about Mr Ambrose? What a game.

Lol, ma son said to me at the game that Tony looked like Rooney when he made the winner :-)
TET – about 7 passes, but we had it loads and they would get a toe poke to it
Good night bhoys and ghirls, you deserve it.
