    They have never played by the same rules, I just canny be bothered with everybody saying it’s a new Klub it’s nit Rangers and all that shite …. the Huns will always be Huns and again the games agaivst then are selling points for us getting better players (Larsson has already said this was an attraction) and before the righteous come on the blog …. the Huns are our biggest selling point and that’s a fact … and for all the season ticket holders that might prefer no Hun … just think about it … will Celtic prosper, will we attract Burke, will we get Weah … the Huns are our biggest attraction whether you like it or not

    Don’t be silly, know your place Timmy, Celtic will always play second fiddle, it’s the natural order, you should accept that, like our old firm supporters, a club with a fantastic history, wish we could be cheated by them and have our players hospitalized by them every week as long as the money keeps rolling in, that’s all that matters. We’re on a roll and some will not be disappointed when it ends because we need them to keep the game interesting.

     

    Oh wait, come to think of it, anyone who makes an argument like that are in effect saying they are ok with football in Scotland dying as a sport and excited about it becoming choreographed entertainment. We should be happy to forget the integrity of a sporting occasion because we support a Plc not a team.

    Ollie Burke got a lukewarm reception on here,myself included, cracking player. You can see he’s loving it,for a guy who has hardly played for 6 months, he has really looked after himself, a pity the mad money in England will stop us trying to get him on a permanent deal.

    Who would I replace him with ?

     

    There would be many 1000’s of well capable CEO’s out there in the business world that imo would do as good or a better job than Pedro, they would also cost a hell of a lot less than he does, his forward thinking business model is flawed, there is no growth to speak of apart for the OF model, europe seems to be an inconvenience, if he is as good as you say and many others seem to think he is, why has he not done anything about the wall to wall cheating and rule breaking, not to mention he has done nothing regarding the bias that the refereeing department displays week in week out.

     

    These things should be meat and drink for a top CEO.

    4 years without them and we made profit, Europe is our biggest earner and attraction by far.

     

    Players and managers come to play in Europe, no get hospitalized by Huns.

     

    But I suppose if you can’t see past them then your myopia will never allow you to look up and appreciate the opportunities.

    A cursory glance at most celtic fan sites would convince you that Peter Lawwell is a forelock tugging,back of the bus sitting, old firm 49er,bean counting traitor whose main project is to help Rangers stay competitive so we get the Sky Old Firm money ( at risk of losing 30 million for Champions league qualification)

     

    A cursory glance at the Rangers fans web sites would convince you that Peter Lawwell runs Scottish football and the media and has conspired to have Rangers ” demoted” so that Celtic would have a free crack at the Champions League money and also ensures that the refs give Celtic preferential treatment

     

     

    Both sides cant be right..but both sides can be guilty of lunacy.

    But we could have been liquidated every year before and after the Huns did, it is a great achievement not to be in administration or liquidated, look at all the other clubs who pull an average of 50k fans a week that went to the wall. Only top of the range dynamic innovative leaders of industry can save us from financial crisis.

    I was at Girvan v Bankies game yesterday the result was never in doubt but Girvan gifted them them 3 goals of a start !! Good support down from Clydebank and one pub ran out of lager !

    A few of the Dalmuir Emerald CSC travelled to Girvan on the Bankies supporter bus yesterday. My mate John who follows Bankies home and away, thinks Hurlford will beat Bankies. He travelled to Girvan yesterday expecting Bankies to get beaten. Sad Bankie pessimist oor John. ?

    With respect I honestly struggle to see how I am being irrational, quite the opposite imo.

     

    Pedro is doing his job, he is doing nothing out of the ordinary, there is no growth, all the money that the players and the manager has raked in the past few years has not been used to it’s fullness, it’s sitting in the bank and we may even have to pay tax on it cos we are not investing it.

     

    IMO, the OF is the easy option, it pays for no outlay, europe needs investment, we are just doing enough to keep that wee bit ahead of them’s, it keeps the season books sales going and the merchandising tills ringing.

     

    If that’s what folks want, and going by on here many of the blogs it seems it is, it’s no for me.

    The world is full of very successful directors out there, DD is happy with the way things are ticking over, it’s costing feck all, and there is money in the bank, no down to Pedro I may add.

    Delaneys Dunky, Hiya. Were you at the game today? There’s nothing to add to what has already been said. Positives all over the place. I think the one I enjoyed the best was Jonny Hayes performance – for his sake. He got off to a bad start with Celtic which is difficult enough without major injuries.

     

     

    He was being worked from the off by the St.J players but he grew into the game. I was happy to see him getting to grips with that Foster fellow. In the second half he started contributing. I’ll never forget his face when wee Jamsie’s goal went in. He was so much a part of it.

     

     

    Maybe he will ever only be a squad player for us. But we need good squad players too. I hope he can be one.
