  1. There is no doubt the defeat at Ibrox has refocused the squad and the Manager. Scott Brown is again reborn and others have stepped up to the plate. Brendan has been backed in the market with quality and you get what you pay for. Our temporary £50k a week right back makes a difference as have the others, it’s clear and unavoidable. Scott Sinclair is looking more like the player of two years ago, the evidence with Scott suggests when the team is going well he does well and vice versa. Also worth noting that Scott will soon enter the final year of his contract.

Today we never broke sweat with Rogic, Tierney, Benkovic, Bayo and Ntcham not in the squad. The only thing nagging on my mind is that we have played six at home and only one away since the break. Kilmarnock sandwiched between two European ties has the hallmarks of a hard shift as does Tynecastle at the end of this month. The acid tests may lie ahead but the signs are very good indeed.

  2. At times today we were an absolute joy to watch…………..delighted. Great to see Jonny ” Alf Tupper” Hayes with a confidence-boosting performance.

It’s Very Good To Be A Tim.

I remember a report in the Derby Telegrapgh reporting that..` Charlie George beat two men and had a shit against the bar from twenty yards. `.

  5. For the many doubters (some noticably missing) Celtic under Brendan have always appreciated the winter break and have “re-focused” as per usual, have read some stuff about Broony finding his mojo ? And other stuff … Scott has been a terrific Celtic player only 2 seasons from coming up for 12 has he been well below form due to injury & personal tragedy with the passing of his sister…. Scott has been written off and probably will be written off again but we will appreciate him more long after we stop witnessing “the Broony”

  6. What is the Stars on

    Jonny Hayes …not celtic class..bin

Scott Sinclair…what does he bring ? Get rid

Loan signings are a waste of time

I hope you don’t mind but I have been enlightening family & friends that Johnny Hayes actually started as a youngster at left back ….

So down to yourself on here I can assure you quite a lot of people now know this :-)

  9. I’ve seen worse brutality here from the old RUC, that was years ago though – Watching footage of French police from yesterday’s protests – astonishing levels of violence inflicted on those protesters – 2019 in a modern European city.

This what happens when people challenge the parasitic, globalist elite and their policies.

  10. Seven and a half trophies won on the stoat, Brendan Rodgers still here, Izzy’s ankle not broken, Lustig’s legs not gone, Oliver ( who?) Burke starring, George Weah’s bhoys a player, 5-0 in the Cup, six points clear through February in the league, haven’t conceded a single goal in 2019 , key players set to return, more key players all tied on new contracts ‘failed transfer policy’ produces four excellent centre backs, £2M striker still to debut strongest bench ever subs: Gordon, Lustig, Ajer, Bitton, Ntcham, Weah, Edouard

Pitch is perfect, light show is amazing, Europe after Christmas, Celtic Park sold out, everybody and his dug now know Jonny Hayes used to play left back.

What a joy to support Celtic CSC

  12. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    Brilliant today bhoys.

    Pace up front is key.

Scottish cloggers can’t live with it.

Burke and Weah taking pressure off Sinclair (to be the only whippet) and Edouard (to lead the line on his own).

Don’t get drawn into arm wrestles at Tynecastle and Rugby Park. Fast and fluent.

    Hail hail

  13. No much you can say about that today, other than Wow, we were superb, in total control all through, when it boils down to it, no bad with half a team, a massive step up on thursday tho, you never know, we have a fair bit of class about us, just need to get a few breaks, something that seems to elude us in europe,

  14. Hot Smoked 5.36pm

I know your post was to BSR but can I add that under Brendan’s watch

Scott Sinclair has scored 48 goals in 157 appearances not too shabby from a non-striker :-)

Surely 2019 has brought goals a plenty and none conceded even the unhappy Celtic fans should drop the “un” although maybe hoping Valencia give them reason to get back typing… I think we will do Valencia, would take 0-0 right now but think it will be 2-0 :-) forever the Coatbrig optimist

Sportscene time … hope we start well

  19. If only BR had listened to many of the fans and dropped Broonie, If this mince continues, BR should be sacked and raffle held to appoint a Broonie-is-finished-monger as manager – with Kev J replacing Peter L too.

  20. Thanks for the updates bhoys, was working so just read back, and the goals from bonfigli, via LYMMBHOY.

If ever a winter break came at the right time eh!
