  1. Despite being kicked and ankle clicks all over the Park, plus the red avoidance for Bryson,we still should be capable of beating a team like this.

Sad to say, we cant afford Edouard turning up,his job is to score,he had one good chance and several better than average opportunities, missed them all.

In effect that cost us the game as they would have sat back.

    Sick.

  2. Neil Lennon – “We need a spark from somewhere. Something needs to happen soon…”

Same old drivel. He’s out of ideas but doesn’t sound like he’s going anywhere…

  3. Neil Lennon – “We need a spark from somewhere. Something needs to happen soon…”

Yes, Neil, and we all know what it is.

  4. Nothing new in the manager’s interview on Radio Scotland, board backed him but its a results business, over to the board , clearout required including Lawwell but I have been saying this for ages, one day I will be right.

    Gleeful currants makin’ merry…………?

    What’s your take then?

  7. From Celtic Gossip.

No matter what they achieved in the past, sadly Neil Lennon and Peter lawwell will be known as the men who fecked up #10iar HH

    Spot on.

    Hang your head in shame.

The best you can realistically hope for now is that once the ten is gone (mission accomplished) the backlash is so severe, resolute and committed ie people actually stop buying season books that the Board are forced to address the systemic problems at Celtic.

I’m not over hopeful. I don’t trust the board and have little confidence that the support have the guts to do what’s necessary to effect change.

    ——————-

Unfortunately I agree with the last assessment. I gave up my season ticket after Ronnie’s last season because of the Board’s treatment of Resolution 12. Everyone makes their own decisions and pays their money, or not, as the case may be.

Another marque appointment might do the business for most supporters but for others it will just paper over a rotten ownership of a tax-dodger and his too-long-in-place CEO. It’s a pity the blog has been corrupted by this crowd as its really critical comment will come long after the damage has been done. Embarrassing for everyone involved.

  9. Look you ghuys!

    Neil can turn it around!

The players are just a little short of confidence.

    Dontcha know?

  10. Of course he’s not resigning.

I’m repeating myself here but anyone who expects NFL to resign is a moron, (form a disorderly queue, behind the fence).

He’s not being sacked because it suits the board to leave him hanging. He’s a human shield, a flak catcher. He knows it and they know he knows it.

It’s all very sad, but fairly predictable.

How’s the weather in the Caribbean at the moment? Good for golfing?

  11. 20th anniversary of Neil Lennon signing for Celtic.

Been involved and employed, and paid by us for most of that time.

I said a while back that whatever Lenny is or isn’t doing at Parkhead the one thing he isn’t doing is managing Celtic Football Club, the job he is paid to do.

We are an unmanaged team, who could arguably do better without any of the coaches we presently employ.

Neil made a positive impact at Hibs……until he didn’t, and when he became a negative influence, they ushered him out of the door. We passed that point some time ago.

  12. I saw NO LACK of fight and effort from Celtic Today…However, Fight and Effort sometimes aint enough to win any game.

It also takes SKILL, thought and self belief, and being able to play the game correctly, and then you can dictate the play etc.

We have ALL on here Posted that we shouldnt be giving French Eddy the ball when he has two or three men around him, and while that may be true, I have also witnessed him losing out when his back is to goal, and there is only ONE Defender near him…any possession is then lost due to Eddy NOT laying it off…or holding it up….Today included, but no one seems to ever mention that.

I like French Eddy, but he and several other Celtic players have let Neil Lennon down far too often this season, just as the Board has let Neil Lennon and the Supporters down.

Neil has also been part of the overall problem with strange selections, tactics and subs etc, but he is NOT soley to blame, as I also think as I posted a few times this season…PLAYERS ALSO have to take responsibility once they pull that Celtic Jersey over their heads. When I tried to play football along time ago, i had many poor games…but I do NOT ever remember blaming any of my managers, or the Club Committee for ME being in poor form……I would be angry with MYSELF……and maybe sometimes I was also guilty of trying too hard at times, and rushing things ?

I can agree however, that to starve this Board of Money could be the answer, but its NOT for ME to tell anyone to do that, as I dont have Kids to buy for from the Celtic Shop for example, and my bulky frame just doesnt look good in a Celtic Shirt these days, so I dont buy anything for myself from the Celtic shop. Ive got plenty of older Celtic Tops, but they are a bit tight these days LOL.

I dont know the answers, and maybe there are smarter folk out there than me who can somehow get this Board to see sense, and at least communicate with the Supporters, instead of it being ” THEM and us”. Then again maybe that Ship has already sailed ?

Sad, times indeed…and although Sad…in my opinion it has been avoidable…but those in power at Celtic Park DO have a lot to answer for.

I feel really sorry for the Tens of Thousands of Celtic Supporters who have parted with their hard earned money, especially this season…and who have been let down Big Time by the Board…and a few others at Celtic Park.

    HH.

Right,John Clark to lead the team out at Hampden for the Cup final.Let us enjoy history on that day and it would have been nice to win 10,but at least change has to come and the present set up has almost run it’s course.

    Celtic Still.

  14. In other news. Peter Allis has died. Used to enjoy “A Round With Allis”. Golf will miss him.

    Sorry to interrupt.

How much influence do you think this blog has?

    Seriosly?

    Ok, to the nearest 50.

  16. “I’m annoyed. I’m frustrated. We’re trying everything with them. They’re feeling it, there’s no question of it, you can see that in their body language and their performances.

“We need to turn it round very, very quickly. They can do it, they’re capable of doing it. We need a spark from somewhere and we’re not getting that at the minute.

“I’ll continue to work as best I can. I’ve done nothing but try to bring success to the club. We’re going through a real bad period at the minute but we’ve been through bad periods before.

“Can I turn it around? Yeah, of course I can. Will I get the time to do it? Well, I’ve already been told that the club are with me but it’s a results-driven business and at the minute the results aren’t what they should be.

“The results aren’t good enough. It will improve, I’ve no question of that.

“Psychologically, the players are not in a great place. There’s a lack of tempo, a lack of penetration in their play.

“I’m really disappointed with the result and aspects of the performance. We dominated the game possession-wise again but we looked tentative. I understand that to a certain degree but they need to rise above that.

“We had a couple of good chances first half. For me, we’re not working the goalkeeper anywhere near enough. There’s a lack of speed in our play, lack of movement. And we can’t keep a clean sheet.

“We’re not playing with enough verve and enough excitement and flair.”

  17. I saw about 2 minutes of the huns game earlier.

It included a shot of the dugout. Slippy, McCallister and Beale. Beale was holding court, tablet in and, explaining what was happening on the pitch. The other two were giving him their undivided attention. A tight, cohesive unit.

Compare that to the Celtic dugout. Disparate entities thrown together by an obese accountant and an absentee owner, whose sporting interests are golf and horse racing.

  18. Unbelievably, he is STILL not leaving! Thinks he can turn it around. Simply deluded. This from BBC:

“I’m annoyed. I’m frustrated. We’re trying everything with them. They’re feeling it, there’s no question of it, you can see that in their body language and their performances.

“We need to turn it round very, very quickly. They can do it, they’re capable of doing it. We need a spark from somewhere and we’re not getting that at the minute.

“I’ll continue to work as best I can. I’ve done nothing but try to bring success to the club. We’re going through a real bad period at the minute but we’ve been through bad periods before.

“The results aren’t good enough. It will improve, I’ve no question of that.”

  19. Shocking display.

On the signing of Shved BR said we have plenty wingers………..where are they.
