I’m not sure why people keep using the word conspiracy.
It’s a perfectly credible business decision not to go all out to win the league if the consequence of doing so is going to do you long term damage.
It’s not something you would shout from the rooftops as it could be misconstrued and would undoubtedly be badly received by your customer base, but you don’t get to be living in the Caribbean as a tax exile billionaire by doing what the little people want. You’re bigger than them and can see further.
If you want to talk about conspiracies, talk about the five way agreement, talk about how the same club narrative has become accepted as fact, talk about the issues covered by Res 12 and how the Board have dealt with them.
Does anyone doubt that if The Great Desmondo had his heart set on winning the 10 we wouldn’t be out of sight by now?

Once again you haven’t read what I said, you have taken a bit and made something up in your head about what you think I wrote, not once did I say that the club were letting the huns win the league, not once.
What I did say was that from the onset, way before the huns even went bust and died, was that our suits did nothing to help them on their way, I believe that they did the opposite, they did everything in their power to keep them alive, hence my reference to the OF bandwagon must be firmly kept on the rails, and they sure have done that, long term planing n all that.
All you have to do is look at, or better still listen to the silence from the club on many occasions when they should have been shouting from the rooftops, nothing, total silence, Res 12, the LNS report, the years of illegally registered players, the SFA whitewashes, the repeated lies from the authorities, I could go on all day about their silence when they should have challenged those at the top and brought the game in scotland into the modern grown up world, instead they have allowed it to remain back in the 1690’s FFS, where a nod and a wink is all that matters.
So to repeat, I never said that they were allowing them to win the league.

We actually need one of those windows this coming January, along with a new management team this week.
Bring is an emotionally unattached 1st tier coach till end of season and ask him to identify 2-3 players to be recruited in January.
Get the players & fans inspired and see where it takes us.
This season is transpiring into a dead rubber if we stumble on to Dec end without change.

The idea that NL was a safe pair of hands to lead us to 10iar is/was flawed.
Get the best man for the job regardless of allegiance!
Every Celtic supporter wants the club to be ran as best it can possibly be and reach its full potential within the geographical limitations.
That means being the most successful club on/off the park outside the top 5 leagues.
That should be the club’s aspiration…..instead DD priority is to maximise the share price and his return by moving the club into the EPL.
We can only dream.
Wonder what Paul’s leader will be – unfortunately the one that said things will get worse has turned out to be spot on. 😨

Celtic Park should be a Hun Chump Free Zone….With only Celtic supporters there fill the Stadium to its rafters, and give Sevco players the ” Works” for 90 minutes every time.
I remember during the 1990’s when I ripped the Piss out of a Hertz player at Celtic Park. He wasnt amused when he tried to retrieve the ball from me right at the bottom of The North Stand early in the 2nd half…ALL around me, Celtic supporters loved it and how we all laughed…except that Hertz Chump…I wish I could remember who he was ?
Even later that evening in Bairds Bar, some of The Bhoys were patting me on the back, as they had also witnessed my antics, and how I made that Hertz Chump…a REAL Chump , despite sitting a good distance awy, but they had known me because of my unusual Celtic Jersey…
I miss those fun Day oots….I hope that Hertz Chump is still raging ?

Maybe an article to address how this particular season will define the Scottish game for a decade to come and how our corporate suits were found woefully ill-prepared.
Unless Laxalt was playing with an injury he should be send back to Milan as soon as the contract allows. Awful and lack of effort and concentration was pathetic
Also with the team lacking spark , confidence we need a basic 442 formation , we can’t be switching around in the game and then switching which sides the centre halves play, as well.
It is utterly excruciating watching games at the moment …. memories of Josh Thompson under BTM with full backs constantly out of position… looks like a coin toss for the cup final … Neil is being given the chance to bring the cup home , you have to think that the board are working behind the scenes to get a new manager in …. before when we had poor sides , we started a season well and then tailed off because we were basically not very good … what we have now is a form of player work to rule … needs to change right now … new man required

Hard to see or believe that we have people within the club who have planned for Sevco to win the league, that’s just bonkers stuff and so difficult to achieve for the reasons already pointed out, so may actors and moving parts it would be madness to think that it could be done and whatever we think of the CEO, Directors etc. they’re not THAT daft!
Our club hierarchy may well want a strong OF or great competition from a purely business point of view etc. so that it is more marketable (SKY love it, it’s the only show in town) but wanting some other club to win the prize and all that goes with it is mad!
What they are clearing guilty of and this is the rub for me, I was delighted that Lennie came back to right the ship when Rodgers left but at the end of the season that should have been thanks and good luck. We should then have had a proper competition for a manager and his background staff and taken our club forward, that didn’t happen because of penny pinching? (not sure as Lennie is well paid and was backed during the summer, I don’t remember many being unhappy with what happened) more likely the scenario which has played out for years; just keep ahead of the Huns, they will implode, they have to date and then get lucky in Europe. I say lucky in Europe because there’s certainly no plan when it comes to qualification for the CL etc.
I mentioned last Friday that I suspected NL was being allowed chance to go out as a winner in SC final on Dec 20th.
Seeing more reference to this today on blog and twitter.

So by that do we take it that NL only took the job on after BR left on the proviso that he was made FT no matter what?

There seems to be a complete lack of awareness by some on how important Forster was in some of our results last year.

When you have 1 or 2 off form…maybe.
But not when we have 7-8 players off form since beginning of the season. All symthoms of a much greater issue which is structural on the pitch.
Off the pitch is an entirely different matter.

(here’s a wee clue. how many people did it take to decide to appoint NFL, on his own, without his coaches or back up staff?)
Spoiler alert. The answer is two (2) people.
Celtic by numbers produced a great article showing that in Europe during BR’s reign, our expected goals and our conceded goals were matched, but that last season in Europe we were conceding fewer goals than our expected goal number.
Even more amazing was that our expected goals conceded v Sevco in the LC final was greater than our expected goals conceded tally v PSG in the 7-1 game!
A combination of FF’s brilliance and poor finishing meant that we were not on the receiving end of a mauling by Sevco.
Yet people still go on about trophies won without looking at underlying performance, direction of travel or the circumstances (taking over for a treble winning side and spending £40m).
NL has said he has tried everything…..he hasn’t.
Brown’s positional sense has been terrible this season. Counted him charging towards the ball multiple times yesterday leaving the usual midfield games and others being drawn in to close. Groundhog day time & again.
Brown needed to be dropped over period of 3-4 games and other midfield shapes tried & tested.
NL didn’t try.
when Lenny finally admits to himself it’s time to call it a day today ,he will leave us in a shocking state considering what he inherited player wise.

Absentee major shareholder. Toothless board filled with nodding ducks. CEO in hiding from media and fans —- also briefing against fans and the ring of steel nonsense. He has turned into a real nasty piece of work as he clings onto power much like he intimidates internally to get his way. I think Bobo Balde was the only one who stood up to his bully boy tactics —-I am the CEO of Bobo Balde.

The leadership is non existent ; A self serving CEO has caused this mess.
Lawwell as the responsible cannot be associated with any forthcoming change as it is immediately flawed if he is anywhere near it. He can only see change through the lens of retaining power and lining his own pockets. He cannot be allowed to damage the club from within again.
Dermot may need to put a temp CEO to run the changes that need to be made even if some of them are only to end of the season.
Let’s also be clear Dermot needs to go too as his 2 calls a week does not cut mustard. He has also allowed a toothless board with some of them only in it for the liquid lunches to be a doormat for Lawwell. This will need to wait to 21 but the club needs to be put on the market as one option.
The fans have been shafted by Dermot and Lawwell. The share price is down 35 % and no kick in price around may / June timeframe like others. Season tickets will also be down due to failure and financial challenges of the support. Covid will be around next year with only 20% max of worlds population being vaccinated by end of year end. So not a pretty picture.
They have took us to where we are now. They Desmond and Lawwell are not part of the solution going forward.

It might and that’s a big MIGHT take two (2) to plan the nonsense scenario you paint but it takes all of the team and coaches to enact it, that simply is not happening regardless of what you think. No doubt you’ll come back a tell me that Lennie, the other coaches and all the players are unknowing actors in this plan by PL and DD but come on, really?
