  1. Bhoy From The Boyne on

Zombies won’t pick up as many points in second half of the season and we won’t drop as many as first half. But they could have enough to be out of sight by Jan 2nd if this is not addressed ASAP by DD/PL.

  2. I think it’s fair to say that on current form not one Celtic player would get into the huns team.

This was a very difficult watch this afternoon, for me it was probably the worst of the season as it was so predictable when I saw the team again full of underperforming favourites.

Greg Taylordid not disgrace himself for the second 45.

As MM previously stated Callum McGregor as MOTM was a bewildering choice to put it mildly.

There is much wrong in Paradise that I do not know about, but one thing I do know it is not the fault of 53,000 ST holders.

HH. The journey has temporary stalled.

  3. Howe is the only available person that can sort this..unfortunately it will only be for next year ……this season has gone, think we all know that.

  4. Hotel de Paris on

A few months ago Mrs HDP asked me what were my hopes for 2021. In addition to the usual continued health for all the family I said

    Covid gone

    Trump gone

    Johnson gone

    Lawwell gone

    Bankier gone

  5. I wouldn’t trust Lawell and Hammond to spend another penny at Celtic. Lawell asked for unity then stuck a fence around the stadium. What he should have done was listen to the fans, acknowledge their emotions then reassure them that we will do everything possible to salvage the situation.

The arrogance is breathtaking and could now run far deeper than just his season – I sense dark dark days ahead unless we overhaul our strategy and let go of the poisonous egos from the club!

  6. onenightinlisbon on

Think this is still recoverable if we appoint a top quality manager now.

However, we all know that won’t happen.

  7. Aye … very good

    Boycott… when we don’t win :-)

Maybe …. entitlement isn’t just a Govan thing

Could “us” Celtic fans go 9 years without no major trophies … Celts for Change … were before they’re time they only went a couple of seasons with not too much too celebrate… winning every trophy in the last 4 years is a shoite crusade … even though we are all gutted … still a shoite crusade

  8. Prepare for John Kennedy appointment while a full “exhaustive ” search for the new candidate is undertaken .

  9. lets all do the huddle on

    —-

anyone who works for a PLC will know how the folk that run it are so far up their own arses that they are the only ones that matter.

PL only gives a shit about his own pay packet

everything else is a side show

and everyone else is wrong in disagreeing with what he says

PLCism is at the root if this

  10. Lennys own words “some of the players aren’t fit…it’s been that way for some time”

Who’s fault is that and why are you playing them?

  11. Sevco already had the measure of us last season, even in the League Cup Final, which was won by FF. Lenny learnt nothing, he continues to be tactically inept. At the beginning of this season we bought badly and expensively (Ajeti, who was not keen to come here in the first place, and Barkas, and we got rid of Gordon, now back in the Scotland squad, as Lenny hoped to get FF , then Duffy, enough said). We did not sign a successor to Scott Brown but we have any number of attacking midfielders.

Ultimately Lenny must take the blame (along with our scouting department). The board backed him with money for players. The only thing the board can be blamed for is not reacting to the Ferencvaros debacle, or even earlier after the gutless performance against the Huns. Like many supporters they must have thought Lenny would turn it around or that the Huns would implode. Discerning supporters knew better.

  12. Huddle,

Will say it again,he gave Lenny,38.5 million. What else should he have done.Seriously, tell me,because I have no idea.

What you are saying is,its PLs fault that Lenny can’t put a team on the park to beat our last 2 domestic opponents.Really?Eddy is worth 10 times the value of both teams put together.Blaming PL is like howling at the Moon.

  13. Stebhoy @ 8.03

You say you wouldn’t trust Lawwell to spend any more money. Surely he does not do the scouting and say which players we should sign? I thought his job was doing the negotiations when we sign players and handling the terms of the contracts offered to players. Or am I wrong?

  14. 79CAPS – I’m not sure the Celtic manager has much say in who we sign – this is done to hammond and lawell. Lennon / Rogers ask for positions to be filled – they ID target and ultimately bring players in. Unfortunately, the profile has been wrong and we have a team lacking the ability to scrap and win the physical side of the game.

Julien Duffy Barkas Tylor – NO target man up front to hold the ball up.

These signs have been visible for 18mths and not sorted

  15. We have went from the ultimate force to an absolute farce in a few short months.Neil, please do the right thing and stand down while there is still time to save your status. As for you Lawwell GTF.No Celtic fan will ever approach you in years to come and buy you a pint or thank you for what you done,EVER. You are a stain on our history

  16. Downforsam,

Him and Lenny standing,at he dugout, looking clueless.Lenny asks him something,he shrugs,as if”Do what you like”

  17. lets all do the huddle on

Will say it again,he gave Lenny,38.5 million

i totally agree that we have spent an absolute pile of cash

but we have spent it on shite

and im not sure how much say lennon had in who we signed with that money

but we have a CEO earning 3.5 million quid last year

    utterly ridiculous

and he seems to have too much say in who we sign

  18. case in point – Rogers was trying to sign Mcginn. Physical young dynamic and future brown replacement. Instead , he hears we sign Shved! not only a player he didn’t know but a position he didn’t need filled

Its been an absolute disgrace of a model to run a football club!

  19. Stehbhoy

Then Lenny clearly did not ask for the right positions to be filled or for the right type of player.

  20. we as a club are all about making history first and Lenny has f****d this season up big time with his stubbornness and arrogance with his ‘favourite’ team selections.

  21. 79caps.

Was it BR’s fault we never got McGinn then.

This notion that the manager buys players is complete fiction.

KT signed a 4 year contract 6 months before he was sold and let’s get this right he was sold. No transfer request SOLD .

The same way the board have sold out the club with res12.

    Night night

  22. The Blogger Formerly Known As GM on

I agree with Turkey, the manger was ‘backed’ in August.

Most agreed it was a good transfer window.

We didn’t sell Eddie or Ajer.

Unfortunately for him, Peter Lawell backed the wrong man in the showers.

He now has to undo the (expensive) mess he created.

  23. ONIL.

Won’t give up hope, but just feel they are on a roll and we are …….just don’t know what we are !! Been watching Celtic for 64 years and feel we just don’t have any leadership , both managerial or Executive….. we play teams in Europe with a fraction of our budget who do not need to buy cheap and sell for top dollar yet they are miles in front of us….look at a club like FC Copenhagen if we played them 10 times they would beat us most probably 8 out of ten …why is that ?

Things need to change …..very rarely agree with Green brigade but we are not a well run club,…..let’s be honest if the huns were financially solvent over the last 5 years we would have struggled to win The 9…..

My two decades was from Neil Lennon joined us and brought me two decades of amazing Celtic times

Apologies… if my post wasn’t clear

And by the way … cheers for your posts who are totally different from me but written in a non-confrontial way … we can have differing views but still love the Tic ,.. ps am gutted for Neil he is one of my Celtic legends … in every way

  25. Stebhoy,

Again,Mc Ginn?.FFS when will you learn. He did not choose us.Same with FF.What is it with some fans.Like jilted virgins.Get over it.

    ERATIC on 6TH DECEMBER 2020 8:27 PM

    50 years for me pal.

I agree with everything you have just said.

We always do this, never kick on from a position of strength, we never learn….
