Celtic have received some clarity concerning their first Champions League qualifying round opponents after this week’s first leg results in qualifying round two. The five matches that could provide an opponent for Celtic all produced hot favourites to progress.
Sheriff Tiraspol, who won away in Armenia, are 22 games into their league campaign and top the Moldovan table. HJK Helsinki, who won 7-0 on Tuesday night’s Champions League qualifier, are joint top in Finland after 17 games.
All other expected opponents won 3-0 at home in the first leg. Neftchi Baku are top of the Azerbaijan league after 16 games. Molde are two points off the pace in Norway after 15 games. AEL Limassol are Celtic’s only potential opponents who have yet to start their campaign.
If Celtic are to progress to the group stage they will have to overcome stiffer opposition than any of these teams in the final qualifying round, so we should look forward to a stiff test.
Loved the We are Celtic Supporters video from Celtic TV (below). Great quotes from Jimmy McGrory, Tommy Burns, Billy McNeill, Paul McStay, Jock Stein and the original “<insert name> is more than a football club” from Sir Robert Kelly, a few decades before it was picked up in Catelonia.

Watched Is Football Racist the other night and it was ok until John Barnes appeared and said, when they were talking about black managers in football, something along the lines of, I worked 7 months as a manager got sacked and I never worked as a manager again, I paraphrase, but…..

Sorry i couldn’t reply earlier regarding the tainted titles but working.
Yes i want them to they cheated and the titles should be rewritten to the highest possible finishing team.
It’s just a few boys said on twitter they wouldn’t want them but how good would it be to have won 12 IAR and them knowing it won’t be done again.

Not got to that bit yet, just on the Asian team, county team captain no chance in football.
Blown away with the comic strip in TopCorner’s link….That artwork (and the writng) is truly genius !
I reckon that was done within the last couple of days aswell. The screen depicting a futuristic Celtic Park decked CG regalia….A full size drawing of the ground would go for £K’s.
Outstanding. :-o
Whoever you are ….
Hail hail
Jack Reyna. RIP God bless.

Hail Hail buddy
Quick question that I am hoping my learned friends here will be able to help with!
On Sat 7th July, an orange band marched and played through my estate until it got to the house of, I assume, a grandmaster or something , and then marched and played back through.
This was at 7am and there were approx 30-40 of them and accompanied by two uniformed policemen.
I assume that as they had police then this was allowed practice, but can anyone clarify who would have given this permissin, police or Council, and what the rules are for a residential area?
I know that if I had to go out at 7am on a Saturday mrning with a drum, or a pneumatic drill, I would very quickly have been dealing with the police.
If it is relevant, this was in Holytown and falls under North Lanarkshire Council.
Wonkyradar, about Deadwood, from the way you lays out yer prose on this here forum I figger ye’ll love it.
Great writing and a great cast. Ian MacShane plays the saloon boss like no other, a wild character in a wild, double-dealing town.
I may have to watch it all again now.

Ditto as were the Keanes!!!

My girlfriend stays in holytown a went to stay in chapelhall on the Friday to avoid them :-)

Re Bellamy’s comments
Is this the start of the annual will he / won’t he come to us on loan.
Generally it starts around May, and ends in late August when he signs for anyone but us.
He was a decent player in his day, but , I suspect he flirted with us merely to tease out better offers elsewhere.
Wouldn’t touch either him or McFadden – IMHO you only get one chance to join Celtic, and both of them have had their chance.
Foxy1888
Thats baith of them BTW
Alright BB – came home to a house full of Canadian relations tonight. Thought the wife had opened up a shelter for the homeless. The C’s wouldn’t dress up for their own funeral!
Good to meet you BB and I’m already getting comments like “can i get a badge?”
They look good so they do. All those without should deffo buy!

“I have a soccer school charity in Sierra Leone to think about. If Celtic can come up with my wages I’d limp at the chance”
Dreadful news about Claudio Reyna’s son…what a crying shame, so young…
haven’t had a chance to check back as my Canadian visitors were asking questions about running water and leccy, but when I was in the shop earlier the Sun’s headline was about Neil putting the boot in to THEMS. For all those who call for the board to speak up, beware, this is how the MSM react and spin. NO COMMENT should be our motto!

Just heard about Claudio Reyna’s son , God bless him and his family .
Thoughts and prayers.
