Celtic have received some clarity concerning their first Champions League qualifying round opponents after this week’s first leg results in qualifying round two. The five matches that could provide an opponent for Celtic all produced hot favourites to progress.
Sheriff Tiraspol, who won away in Armenia, are 22 games into their league campaign and top the Moldovan table. HJK Helsinki, who won 7-0 on Tuesday night’s Champions League qualifier, are joint top in Finland after 17 games.
All other expected opponents won 3-0 at home in the first leg. Neftchi Baku are top of the Azerbaijan league after 16 games. Molde are two points off the pace in Norway after 15 games. AEL Limassol are Celtic’s only potential opponents who have yet to start their campaign.
If Celtic are to progress to the group stage they will have to overcome stiffer opposition than any of these teams in the final qualifying round, so we should look forward to a stiff test.
Loved the We are Celtic Supporters video from Celtic TV (below). Great quotes from Jimmy McGrory, Tommy Burns, Billy McNeill, Paul McStay, Jock Stein and the original “<insert name> is more than a football club” from Sir Robert Kelly, a few decades before it was picked up in Catelonia.

We took the decision after much deliberation to make them different from the first edition, so you will just have to rub it in to those ex-hun supporters.
Third edition will be more subtle or perhaps even bigger :-)

The reformation ensured that our proud country would no longer be dictated by the papists in Rome, just as The Rangers are being tyranized and raped by the SFA which is nothing but a branch of the Roman Catholic Church here in Scotland with O’Regan as the Pope. For centuries, our country was united and our forefathers sacrificed their lives for freedom, against dictatorships, against foreigners, against strange outsiders with weird foreign notions. Our country fought the Nazi’s just as now we must fight O’Doncaster, Liewell and O’Regan with their fascistic hate of we good Protestant men of Scotland. They will never take our dignity. They will never take our titles. They will never take our freedom. Even during the famine; we as a compassionate nation, we true saxon natives showed compassion by welcoming them in. Now In 2012, our club was ripped apart illegally by a Mr Craig Whyte, by the enormous unseen hand of sinister fenianism- and how do you fight against something you cannot see? That should give you nightmares and make you want to go out and but camouflage clothing and gaffer tape and plenty of tins of corn beef. We the united loyal brothers of Church and the Crown are innocent of any crime but we must fight on by smashing their despotism, papery and their points deductions…We have been hung drawn and quartered. Make no mistake they are out to get us. I’ve seen them looking in my windows. I’ve seen them sitting outside in white vans. I’ve seen them put things through my door. Nevertheless, all our wounds and torture has been deemed insufficient by the powers above. Our dignity demands that we do not support terrorism, illegal punishment or dictatorships. We as The Rangers Football Club have always remained loyal to OUR people, The People, OUR country and OUR values. The hatred that has been evident, through jealousy and bigotry will never be forgotten. I do not differentiate between the bigots and the envious; they are all the same to me, they are all prancing papists in one guise or another. I for one, regret the day that we showed hospitality and let aliens in to decimate us and kill our football club…but Our club will begin to prosper as soon as the bigots in the SFA are exposed…hark my words for we shall rise up triumphantly like a wounded British Lion in a morning of the New Jerusalem and devour all our enemies in the blue jaws of our Churchillian Victory. No Surrender. WATP. We don’t do walking away.

nothing confirmed yet EDB, just waiting on numbers.. alnost certainly city centre area.. no West End rubbish… o)) (i get that daily)
These are worrying developments, Top Corner’s link to that horrific cartoon (whose creator is clearly not without artistic and literary talent, which is even more worrying), and the text that wonkyradar has pasted in afterwards.
Curiously, I have been thinking about this all day. On the train to Liverpool this morning, a man and his son got on somewhere on the Wirral. The da sat opposite me and the boy (maybe 14) beside him. They looked remarkably similar to one another. The boy was very talkative for a 14-year-old first thing in the morning. At one point he related to his father that a new boy had come to see round his school at the end of term before starting there next academic year. He said: “He said his dad was Scottish and that he supported Celtic. I told him he wasn’t going to like my phone very much.”
The father smiled with pride. Then the laddie went on to say that it was funny that we called it Celtic to try to pretend we weren’t Irish but that we had messed it up because we couldn’t even pronounce Celtic.
“Aye it’s an Irish club,” said the dad. He had a kind of east of Scotland accent. The boy had a local accent.

Having visited some of these hun sites does anyone else think the hun mass are in the preliminary stages of collective insanity?
Some of the stuff is truly incredible. I know the average hun is expert in raw ignorance, savant in stupidity, but they seem to be more bravura in their willingness to share their intellectual incompetence & deranged, fragmented, desperately tenuous connections…at least more than normal.
Clown with gun at Lennoxtown.
I heard the boy’s mum was high up in the police.
And that he is a Celtic supporter???????
Lads serious ? Would you take the stripped titles ?
