Christie and the congested central mid

375

The creative central midfield position is heavily congested at Celtic. Rom Togic and Stuart Armstrong are both enjoying landmark seasons, leaving Ryan Christie feeding off injury scraps. It’s not ideal for a player with over 100 top flight appearances under his belt.

Four months at Aberdeen would be ideal for the player’s development, and would perhaps arrest Aberdeen’s slide this season.

Eurochamps, fancy some sclaffbaw in Lisboa? You would take our number to five. Another few volunteers and we have a bonifide sclaffbaw event, coupled with the pilgrimage.

See a guy called Myles Beerman has been promoted from Sevco’s Development squad to train with the first team. He apparently has a similar playing style to 70’s Sheffield United legend Tony Currie.

Now imagine that, Currie and Beerman. Could lead to problems with Windass and Dodoo :)))

  8. My understanding of the situation is that Celtic approached both Brendan and Moyes about the job hoping that they could get one interested.

Whereas Moyes played hard to get with an eye on any vacancy in the Premier League, Brendan was enthusiastic from the word go.

This contrasted very favourably with Moyes’ reluctance and therefore a two horse race became a walk over.

Celtic did think that there was a chance that neither of the two would take the job and dear knows where that would have led us.

For me Moyes in the Hoops was a bad memory and he would have failed as manager ( gut feeling at time).

We got best possible manager in Brendan, love the way he manages the club and team. Pity he’s not in charge of photo passes…

Gordybhoy, scary Judiff keeps kat cubie locked in her basement. Its no coincidence the wee cutie disappeared round about the same time as the scary wan appeared.

    Free the cubic one.

No worries. If we get the numbers I,ll organise the rest.

  13. Thinking i am the only one not heading to Lisbon this year,

been a couple of times but it would be extra special this year,

3 holidays booked so getting away again was a no no,

sounds like it will be an absolute ball

  15. DD, have a look at a small village called Olhos d’Agua just outside Albufeira. Brilliant wee place and only 5 minutes in a taxi to the Old Town. Some great restaurants and bars. Can recommend some apartments if interested. Otherwise, I think HT is well versed on Albufeira if my memory serves correctly.

    Hope your Ma improves.

Weefra, nope, Not in the huff. was away getting a computer and a dram. Speaking of which, have you battered that bottle? I’ll be looking for a full report tomorrow.

Not working this week while my contract is being renewed so I took the opportunity to sort out my dram cabinet and all the bottles with toenails are getting done tonight (well, most of them). Just had the dregs of a 25 Y.O. Highland Park and remembered why I was hacked off paying what I did for it about seven years back. Booooooooooooooooo. Pretty pish for a costly dram.

Ardbeg Almost there is next up. Now that will be special. FFS don’t tell unthank road I said that.

    See you tomorrow pal.

ACGR — I will do a further round up of Lisbon attendees tomorrow or Thursday – tomorrow is a busy day — and I will try and include everyone I know of who is going bit a few will undoubtedly slip the net as there are lurkers by the score going.

Now, I don’t want to send anyone to the bed with a heart attack or cause any controversy …… but at one time Big Judith batted the other way so to speak!

Don’t ask me how I know this ……………

  19. A Ceiler Gonof Rust on

Friesdorfer, are you making the pilgrimage bruv? I’ve not seen JJ since the last home game and have not seen him saying if he’s holidaying in May. He could be No. 6 on the sclaffbaw list.

Might as well just give him the bottle now!!!

HH and maybe catch you for a beer some time.

There are one or two I know of staying out in Estoril at the Palaccio — pretty sure there is a golf course out there at the hotel.

Me and Dermo could play but you would need another week and to be honest the last time we payed golf we barely avoided getting arrested.

BRTH, cheers. Hope when you post it I may recognise some more sclaffers to recruit.

Are you saying scary judiff putted from the rough? Is she coming to Portugal?

BTW, no worries about a tube for your 67 bottle, I’ve tracked down a nice wee presentation box. Will have it in the acgrmobile for you tomorrow post match.

PeteC, if you’re looking in there’s a program on BBC 1 about abortion in America. Not looking to debate, just pointing out you might be interested. Looking at both sides of the debate.
