JEREMIE FRIMPONG will make his Celtic debut against Patrick Thistle in the Betfred League Cup quarter-final at Parkhead this evening.

The 18-year-old Dutch right-back will make his first appearance just 22 days after agreeing a four-year deal from Manchester City before transfer deadline day at the start of the month.

The defender is just one of eight changes from the side which beat Kilmarnock 3-1 at the weekend.

Goalkeeper Craig Gordon returns while Australian international playmaker Tom Rogic makes his first start of the season.

Southampton attacker Mohamed Elyounoussi, on loan at the champions for the remainder of the campaign, makes his first appearance at Parkhead in a team captained by Callum McGregor with skipper Scott Brown getting a break on the substitutes’ bench.

Scott Sinclair makes a comeback to Lennon’s matchday squad after an eight-game absence and is also among the stand-by squad.

TEAM: Gordon; Frimpong, Elhamed, Ajer, Hayes; McGregor, Ntcham; Morgan, Rogic, Elyounoussi; Bayo. Subs: Forster, Hendry, Brown, Sinclair, Edouard, Bolongoli, Forrest
