Cough up for Killie

944

The SFA, SPL and SFL confirmed revelations yesterday that they met at Hampden on Friday evening and released a 126 word joint statement.  It claimed “all three parties have been involved in productive discussions for some time on the subject of league reconstruction”.

Be that as it may, you could put your house on the fact that there would be no talk of hastily-arranged league reconstruction in the next few weeks if there remained a possibility that SPL clubs would vote a Newco into the league at their meeting on 4 July.

Disingenuous: lacking in frankness, candour or sincerity.

There is no mention of subverting every rule in the game to ensure a team called ‘Rangers’ are positioned in as high a league system as possible.  The statement is completely disingenuous.  Having lost the battle to parachute Newco-Rangers into the SPL, Stewart Regan and Neil Doncaster have redrawn the battle lines.

Celtic supporters are the great cash cow that is expected to pay for the crimes of others.  It’s up to you if you want to Cough up for Killie (etc.).

My 2 sons are England supporters so a part of me is disappointed for them – about 1%- but they agree they deserved nothing.

So the Roy Hodgson honeymoon is over – 2 mistakes for me tonight he left on rooney and young when doing his first subs

  2. After chelsea and madrid this restores a bit of the natural balance.

Will now listen to the inane ramblings of the BBC pundits with a large grin and a larger Morgan’s Spiced!

  3. I actually enjoyed that game. Felt Italy should have won easier. I would be interested in tictalker’s analysis of the effect of taking Cassano off. I felt Italy became unbalanced. Balotelli was left isolated, Noccerino and Diamante were played as support attacker/wingers and Marchissio and Montolivo just got in Pirlo’s way.

Justice done in the end and Germany are no foregone conclusion in the semi. If Ozil or Schweinsteiger are injured or off form, Germany are much reduced. Mind you, if Pirlo does not perform, Italy can go home too.

sorry….had to check back to what you were referring to….I know laptop loyal will probably use that…but they are deid…no old firm or new firm…just Celtic and a zombie huns… if they are lucky

  8. Practice all you want…taking penalties the way the Italians did is natural. Young’s dive in the game to get the Italian booked (he misses the semi) brought a whole load of karma down on them.

  9. garygillespieshamstring on

In Lawrenson’s defence, when he was on Football Focus, he always used to take our side against the Huns. I am sure he will not be sorry to see that they do not exist.

  10. Tell you what, if Lawrenson had tried to belittle Celtic in front of Bill Shankley, he’d be still going about in crutches.

To be fair to Mark Lawrensen he said that Celtic winning the European Cup was the greatest sporting achievement in the history of the BBC

did he really say that??? I met him and he had no respect for Scottish football…but I suppose that could have been recent history he was referring to

    ————————————————————————————

He did say that, and he acknowledged Stein and the fact that all the players were born within 11 miles of the holy ground.

Tonight he sounded like someone who was being constantly interuppted by an irritating git.
