The SFA, SPL and SFL confirmed revelations yesterday that they met at Hampden on Friday evening and released a 126 word joint statement. It claimed “all three parties have been involved in productive discussions for some time on the subject of league reconstruction”.
Be that as it may, you could put your house on the fact that there would be no talk of hastily-arranged league reconstruction in the next few weeks if there remained a possibility that SPL clubs would vote a Newco into the league at their meeting on 4 July.

There is no mention of subverting every rule in the game to ensure a team called ‘Rangers’ are positioned in as high a league system as possible. The statement is completely disingenuous. Having lost the battle to parachute Newco-Rangers into the SPL, Stewart Regan and Neil Doncaster have redrawn the battle lines.
Celtic supporters are the great cash cow that is expected to pay for the crimes of others. It’s up to you if you want to Cough up for Killie (etc.).

If Regan and Doncaster get their way the ONLY penalty that will be applied on Rangers is the 10 point Penalty already applied for going into administration…….

10 points which mattered not a jot, 10 points which never cost them a place or a $.
Not only that , Rangers will be rewarded by becoming the first franchise club in European football . The first club who will have been given entry to a high level without having earned it on the field of play. The first club in Europe who have been allowed to join a League at anything other than the lowest level.
Their 10 point penalty is less severe than Spartans got for missing out one date on a players contract, less severe than Dunfermline got for playing a player in a cup tie who wasn’t cleared to play, despite the SFA telling Dunfermline he was OK to play
Yes there have been Consequences , however they are consequences of going into administration and then liquidation. They are not penalties as applied by the SFA.
Should the SFA and the SPL fail to proceed with their independent panels on Rangers very serious list of offences, then the game is up. There is no point in continuing with the charade that we are participating in anything other than a rigged game.
Does even a single person out there believe that if Rangers do not qualify out of SPL 2 at the first attempt, then there will be another revamp, that will parachute Rangers into the top League. What if Rangers turn out to be as big a busted flush on the pitch next season as they are off of it. Does anyone have confidence in Regan and Doncaster to allow Rangers to be relegated.
I have never bought into the view that Referees were corrupt. Some are poor, and maybe the odd one makes a biased decision, but corrupt……never
However under Regan and Doncaster could anyone have any confidence that in a game where Rangers needed a result, that integrity would be the only criteria.
Let’s be clear here, Doncaster could not give a fig for Sporting Integrity. He nailed his colors to Rangers in the SPL’s mast. He must be a casualty of this. We cannot have a CEO who is so discredited and so mistrusted by fans of all clubs
Regan has been more circumspect and cautious , however by lending his name and his influence to this disgraceful attempt to let Rangers off with nothing more than a slap on the wrist for the worst example of cheating in European club history, he also puts himself up as a figure who cannot be trusted
Let’s be clear here, the decision not to proceed with the independent panels will not only let Rangers off completely, it will also make it impossible to deliver the lifetime ban that David Murray so richly deserves. When the truth about Smith and Souness’ EBT activities comes out, and it will come out, they also should be facing a lifetime ban as well as whatever the non football authorities will do to them
Fans of all SPL clubs ensured that it was impossible to parachute Rangers into the SPL. The job isn’t finished yet. Football is nothing without the fans. This is true in Scotland , more than any other country. The SFA are about to find that out. They better have a very serious rethink. They do not have the moral authority to implement this obscene plan

I’d written out a list of reasons but for some reason the post didnt appear on the blog, the jist of it was that a players in his mid 20’s with 2 serious ACL injuries cannot be expected to play 30+ games a year. He is a decent player but has spent years wi Wonga FC and had 12 months of decent form.
I’d take Aluko & Bocanegra though
