The issue with the EBTs and players not complying with registration requirements is the declaration to the SFA of their full payment.

Being on EBTs themselves is not a problem with player registrations – providing you have declared those payments to the SFA.

If Celtic have declared the payments the only issue then is tax.

As I understand it, Celtic have paid the tax. Therefore no problems.

This is the crux of the problem for RFC (corpus delicti), they haven’t declared the payments to the SFA and therefore not complied with requirement to declare ALL payments.

    +++++

My thoughts on it too, but it keeps on cropping up, usually from an orc mate who gets rapidly shot down – we took over his contract from Boro as I recall, a set of contract details that would have been submitted in full to the SFA via The FA one would assume.

There’s still that niggling thought for some reason though (most likely because I have generally come to accept that in an instance where we can be shafted, we will be shafted).

  7. With the new season approaching kick off; ambiguity of information from the SFA/SPL is designed to cause confusion amongst its members; consequently any major decision regards the identity of ‘club 12’ will be deferred.

The key to this entire fiasco lies with forcing the above issue.

Until ‘club 12’ is replaced on the fixture list by an actual football club; the door is left open for another parachute rescue mission of newco r@angers.

All focus of endeavour should be toward revelation of the true identity of ‘club 12’; the knock on event from that would allow matters to follow a natural course, as already demonstrated by the monkeys in suits at their Hampden tea parties; the rule book is in tatters, although said pages could be used to good effect for an entirely different course of nature……. I’ll get the saw dust.

  8. Now I really am confused…..Joseph = Jack?

    I thought Jack = John

Even Google’s never heard of Joseph = Jack so it cannae be true. Must be a wikipedia definition.

Union Joseph on it. Chuckled at that!! Funny there thers none on bog paper?? mmm Must be sensitive about that.

  11. Been off line for much of the day so only heard about the sad death of Joe McBride.

A man with a great scoring record and a true Celt. I was lucky enough to meet him and found him to be modest and down to earth. Like many ex Celts he realised what the club means to the fans and was always happy to chat, sign autographs and be photographed. A great ambassador for Celtic.

no surprise to see you claim theres nothing we can do.

I remember a few years ago now, when we started demanding action, that we should just save our breath as there was nothing we could do.

Thankfully we paid as much attention to your advice then, as we intend to do in the future nada zilch zero, now move over and let the revolutionaries get on with their work.

No public reason given as far as I know.

The fairest way would be a playoff.

Read somewhere there’s a SPL rule which states one team must be relegated but since that rules in that regard have already been flouted (Aberdeen/Hibs) Dunfermline are claiming there’s a precedent been set so they should stay up.

I think it will all depend on that unwritten SPL rule: Which club can bring us in the most money?

    Taken from Ringers media

I know I am coping with it.. I wish they would get it

Celtic fans are about to emerge to a world they don’t recognise – one where their beliefs about the order of the world have been shattered. Will they be able to cope?

They will find that years of carrying the enormous chip in the belief that Rangers are the establishment club was pure fantasy. How can Rangers be the establishment club and be so royally and savagely attacked by all and sundry including the Football bodies from the SFL to FIFA and the HM government who could have easily saved face and pulled in tens of millions for the tax payer by going lenient on the club?

Rangers have been massacred by the fourth estate in all forms of media which completely shatters their illusion that they are all biased for the Ibrox side.

The club have been attacked on all sides by almost every club in the land which tears up their dogma that the likes of Dunfermline lie down to us to hand us the title, Hearts (for which they use the bigoted title, “Mini-h***”), do not give us an easy ride and the rest of the league don’t make it simple for Rangers every week.

With the SFA and SPL headed by Celtic men and using Celtic minded lawyers, referees under their thumb and sacked for anything remotely contentious to their sensibilities, ex Celtic players and hoop friendly journalists everywhere ragging Rangers as much as possible, MSPs wearing Celtic tops to parliament, the Glasgow council run by their sort and handing them development money for the commonwealth games – they will really have to reassess just who is backed by the establishment.

How will they cope without their put upon demeanour, their cries of discrimination every time they are rightly criticised, their impression that everyone is against them and only them? What will they do with their excuses and paranoia when they lose?

Just where will they be able to point the finger of blame when they can’t cope with the fact they are responsible for themselves?

Having your ingrained beliefs destroyed must be like having the rug pulled from underneath you and making you reflect on your wasted, passed life based on untrue assumptions and myth. Maybe we should feel sorry for them.

Nicole and Suzie are excellent but what has happened to Tai (spl?)? I hope she has moved up to greater media challenges (although how that would be possible I do not know).

Or can I start a Bring back Tai campaign?

  23. I liked this bit:

the HM government who could have easily saved face and pulled in tens of millions for the tax payer by going lenient on the club

Hoho, that’ll be the same HM Government who informed Orcco of the tax issue 4 years ago, only to sit back and watch that (former) club fritter away tens of millions of pounds since.

Lenient? I would think having an overall tax liability of £95m and paying, erm, none of it was pretty **censored** lenient.

  24. traditionalist88 on

This line is interesting and kind of sums up the Clyde statement:

‘The very fact that there is no information of any kind being made available on this company undermines the authorities efforts to direct the new entrant to SFL 1.’

Should be worrying for the huns first and foremost that there has been so little detail provided- and no business plan.

Confirms the attempts to shoehorn Sevco into SFL1.

The underlying tone is that they would be open to this in the event of full disclosure of Sevco’s plans being supplied.

  26. Billy's Bhoy on

    traditionalist88

I don’t think that is the underlying tone at all. It is clearly that they have not received adequate information at all. Their position is absolutely robust.

Even if they were to take a decision based on financial interest there is no evidence to support that supporting Sevco is in their financial interest.

Fair play to Clyde on this one.
