CQN’s POTY ‘JOHANSEN GOING NOWHERE,’ DEILA

RONNY DEILA has laughed off reports linking CQN’s Player of the Year Stefan Johansen with a move away from Celtic.
The Norwegian midfielder was said to be on the wanted list of several big-name German clubs in the summer.
But the Hoops boss said: “It’s news to me. But the Norwegian press are very good at talking up players and they can continue with that.

“Stefan has big potential, he knows what’s it’s all about now and I believe he can improve more here.

“Celtic is the right place to be for him and he is one the of players we want to build the team around.”

Deila also spoke about his transfer plans for the summer and insisted booking a place in the Champions League will mean he doesn’t have to lose any of his players.

He added: “We want to exit the window in a positive way and look stronger. We did it in the January window and will look to do it again.

“First of all, we have to win the league and then it’s all about the Champions League. If we reach that then we don’t have to do anything.

“Me, Peter Lawwell, Dermot Desmond and the board have the same goals.

“We have a good strategy and are going to follow that.”
Stefan was voted CQN POTY two weeks ago after a Poll was carried out on www.cqnmagazine.com
