I didn’t hear the scores of other games this weekend until today when I read a red card protest (remember the day Celtic fans gave birth to this concept?) occurred at Ibrox to demonstrate disapproval to any potential new owner who plans to liquidate Rangers.
It would be preferable to everyone if Rangers paid their bills, restoring a degree of dignity, although apparently no one is offering to do this. Publicly bidders for the club will all confirm their preference is to exit administration via a Creditors Voluntary Arrangement (CVA). Offering pennies in the pound for a company is unquestionably a great deal, for the buyer, but whoever is nominated as preferred bidder this week is likely to have a serious option to liquidate the club.
Demonising the liquidation option carries risks for Rangers fans. Short of raising considerably more money than they have thus far and paying their bills, there is little fan power can do right now. If liquidation is the best option for creditors it will happen, better to accept the reality of the situation. Whatever the resulting phoenix club is called, if the new owners inherit animosity from the start it will only diminish the potential of their new club.

I could spend the next 20 minutes of my life explaining how Ed’s been on this blog from the very early days, that is Paul’s blog not a Celtic message board, and has many friends on here. That’s friends….not people you fawn over.
I could say how he’s bravely stood his ground over the years against concerted campaigns to chase him away from Paul’s blog.
I could try and convince you that there are some right good Bluenoses and they’re not all Huns and that even our wonderful support has some bad yins.
But ultimately I would just be wasting my fecking time. You’ll either get some hawks and lurking Huns (how ironic!) to justify your stance or you’ll flounce off because enough of us dare to defend a Rangers man.

It’s still not ok – I agree with you.I find the ‘there must be decent rangers fans vs what do the decent ones do about the vile culture at ibrox and elsewhere’ thing difficult to deal with. Roccobhoy :- Pablophanque was one in a million and I think he was the first person from CQN I met, he stayed in my house a couple of times where we would sit up drinking too much Jack Daniels, indulging in illegal herbs and solving the world problems, sadly for the worl when we woke up sober we could never remember the solutions. He was a gentleman and he is still sadly missed.
