Doing your talking on the park

603

Scott Brown’s comment that the players will “look to do any talking on the park” is what you want to hear from the captain this week. Scott’s only just returned from a lengthy absence and is yet to get into full flow, but on form, he is the difference between an anaemic and an effective Celtic.

It’s always hard to judge from the stands what a team is missing when it’s off form but it’s clear we need leaders on the park to grab hold of games and dominate opponents. Scott is our most effective player in this role; a lot of responsibility lies on his shoulders in the coming weeks.

Saturday can’t come soon enough. It’s a far more important game than the semi-final I continually see articles on.

I’ve been in touch with three of the Res 12 guys and hope to pick up on this shortly.

Sometimes it helps the mind to be ‘ a happy clapper’ as the reality of Res 12 could be soul destroying. Age also helps as you tell yourself well why change now. Anyway, that’s going to be my mantra but to each his own. Some good news to me at least, granddaughter has been accepted food medical faculty at Glasgow University. Well done Ailish! WC,

Are you saying BRTH has not been telling you the facts ?

I can understand that kind of talk coming from the board gimps

I really can’t understand why you would want to turn this into a playground argument with namw. calling. I’d have thought you’ve got too much invested in it and understand the importance to our club to reduce it to petty babe calling

But maybe it just all about small internet argument wins

    Bobby.

I don`t imagine for one moment that some of our supporters are not acting in what they consider to be the best interests of Celtic. However , actions speak louder than words.

Their constant girning is a real downer for those of us who feel differently.

I happen to feel that withdrawing support is not in the best interests of Celtic and I find it extraordinary that some of my fellow supporters do.

Change from within , not without.

  6. You’ve had a chance to actually make change for the better for Celtic but you’ve got on the way of it

    WC,

I think all you will find out is that the board were helpful and appeard supportive whether that was through design or genuine we can’t tell because we were never advised of their full agenda.

    WG,

The fact that they knew the response of the SFA early January and never shared that until today via Paul67 someone who is not involved with Res12 is actually a slap in the face, or how would you interpret that ?

Sometimes I dont get you. You’re obviously very sharp.

I’m now confused at your stance.

To me the board have let Celtic supporters down.

what are you so pissed off about?

  15. Delaneys Dunky

well there are a lot of good minded celtic people out there with loads of connections ……enlist wee Fergus as a front man and there would be no holding us back…….now that would be some journey lol

  16. WC, it’s funny that you have the will to do some things but not others.

I personally believe that showing up the SFA and anybody who colludes with them in covering up decades of cheating is more important than telling people that Sevco are indeed a new club. I suppose it all depends on who you want to keep sweet, doesn’t it? I think I’ve probably purchased my last item from CQN as well as spending no more at Celtic Park, whilst the present incumbents appear to be more interested looking after themselves and the SFA blazers than the people who pay towards their wages.

  17. BGFC

One of the proposed sites is certainly a safer option.

  18. WC, a protest at Hampden, the SC semi being the obvious target, but 16/17 days after the deadline.

    Too late?

And sorry, but the Celtic Board are now also complicit.

By not taking this to UEFA, just asking a question, they are complicit, and have made themselves so.

They were handed the ammunition, given the target, and shat it.

Celtic face a crossroads in the next two weeks, do the right thing, or face splitting the support.

Stand together with us, or they will be part of the problem.

I feel that the organisation is harmful to Celtic.

It is therefore my duty to criticise.

    You can surely understand that.

What is not arguable is that it IS divisive.

One thing you guys have shown is patience, something I don’t have.

All I am suggesting is we gather all the facts and then sort out what we want to do as a support.

If we don’t do that we weaken ourselves. It may be too late for many.

Yesterday RES 12 became a topic when it hadn’t been for a while, the time bar came to light and this made it urgent, last night was the news from BRTH about the board being unwilling to write to UEFA , it seems to me the board wanted this to be time barred and have been caught doing so.

Just my opinion, though, I will never trust any of them[ the board] in the slightest ever again.

  24. WC, I would suggest the Board have all the facts to hand and have had so for some time.

    Time for action.

Not Happy and certainly not Clapping.

I wish that no Celtic supporter took a ticket for the Scottish Corrupt FA semi final.

But everyone I know says I am a stoner and therefore, a dreamer. Dream on!

  26. Doc

I don’t think we should do anything on this at semi final and I also hear what you say about that being too late.

My view is we get all the facts together urgently and then sort out a strategy for what we want to achieve.

Paul mentioned that there would be an article on this shortly and I was aware of what was happening prior to CQN 7s tonight.

I only commented because we were in danger of having 40,000 flyers – our next home game is after the deadline too incidentally.

I am getting a ticket for semi final but don’t think I can bring myself to attend. League games only for me for rest of the season starting at Firhill ( where we could have a giant banner).

  27. HT

  28. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on

    WC,

As I keep saying there is one goal I am focused on everything else is a distraction, people are already talking about removing the board, not a thing on how that could be achieve or even if it’s the best thing, replace the board with what ? who can afford to buy out DD or any of the current major shareholders to even get a foot in the door ?

Torches and pitchforks and head to the main stand and it will all come together, chances are we’d end up with less trust worthies in the frenzy.

Forcing the current incumbents to be more effective through pressure and a bit of nous would likely be more effective, while looking at long term alternatives.

It’s all pie in the sky but res12 still has a chance to go where we want it,

    When I have evidence , not C.Q.N. hearsay , I will take a stance.

Brogan , Rogan makes a statement. Many on here take that to be Gospel truth. Why?

Where does he get his information? Is there a leak from the Board Room ?

Right now , I have severe concerns about the Board failing to handle the issue of our manager .

On that issue alone , I would condemn the Board .

However , is it just possible that the terms of Ronny`s contract stipulate that he be guaranteed a 2 year term ?

    I don`t know.

    Does anybody on C.Q.N.?

    Pissed off ?

    No. Concerned.

The fact is , I hate negativity.

    Realism fine. Negativity never.

Negativity from the support could well result in losing the S.P.L. title and another year of possible success in a Scottish footballing backwater.

WE ALL deserve better than that.

  30. Macjay

I’d suggest the Plc board are way more divisive than The Celtic Trust, hence the need for our existence.

  31. WC, a banner at Frill would be a start.

I would also advocate ST holders letting the PLC know how they feel.

BT has posted JPTaylors email, he can be contacted, I will.

Canamalar, what does the ordinary CQN’r have to do, or what can they do to help take Res 12 forward?

  32. Canamalar

  33. Big Georges Fan Club - Hail, Hail, Wee Oscar - Sack the Board - Lawwell Out on

So – Canalamar, Auldheid, BRTH, BB, anyone else – have you heard anything else from Paul – he intimated that he had “…been in touch with three of the Res 12 guys…”, and that he would “…hope to pick up on this shortly…”.

Has “shortly” happened yet? Always assume Paul is a conduit for the official Lawwell position – do we assume it is taking a while for that position to be formulated, do you think?

Canalamar – I saw your comment in reaction to an email earlier saying you were deeply sceptical about something? Can this be shared at all? Was there further communication?

Sad to say it, but anything coming out of out Board I will now be treating as lies – they have lost all trust.

HT – yup, tickets here under the telly. If any banners are needing to be held up for viewing on telly, me and Wee BGFC are available (assuming we have an early kick-off for his own game on Saturday morning!).
