Doing your talking on the park

603

Scott Brown’s comment that the players will “look to do any talking on the park” is what you want to hear from the captain this week. Scott’s only just returned from a lengthy absence and is yet to get into full flow, but on form, he is the difference between an anaemic and an effective Celtic.

It’s always hard to judge from the stands what a team is missing when it’s off form but it’s clear we need leaders on the park to grab hold of games and dominate opponents. Scott is our most effective player in this role; a lot of responsibility lies on his shoulders in the coming weeks.

Saturday can’t come soon enough. It’s a far more important game than the semi-final I continually see articles on.

I’ve been in touch with three of the Res 12 guys and hope to pick up on this shortly.

  1. Maggie, don’t give in to them.

The SFA, MiBs may be back, but we don’t have to sit at the back of the bus.

Do something, might not seem much, but let the club know how you feel.

BT has supplied the email address.

HT, working in Munich over the weekend, so can’t make tomorrows quiz, donation next time we meet.

  2. Hopefully this isn’t going away you know.

As a shareholder I am attempting to establish if it is true that a board, that are supposed to be protecting my investment, namely the board of CFC, are not planning to complain to UEFA re the SFA allowing Rangers to compete in Europe despite owing taxes and in breach of UEFA regulations?

Celtic are and have been in possession of evidence to attest to this fact and continue to do nothing about it?

If this is true then I plan to raise the matter with the AICSC. I would also hope to crowd fund a legal action against the Celtic board for dereliction of their fiduciary duties with regard to my shares in Celtic CFC.

My kipper has been fuzz free for 10 months so my accent must be somewhat celtic to be sure .

Next time I see you i will give you a fiver for the memorial

  4. Bada Bing, probably none.

But from we were never a big interest for DD, from memory did he not buy a share for his kids who are Tims?

I do stand to be corrected on that one, just a memory from an interview DD gave.

  5. Thanks lads. It’s a disgrace that Glasgow is the only city that ‘welcomed’ large numbers of the Irish diaspora, as a result of The Hunger, that doesn’t have a permanent memorial.

  6. First thing we need to do is get the facts straight.

This will happen sooner rather than later.

If we then need to take action then we need to consider the objective and the target.

Trying to give out 40,000 leaflets at Celtic Park would be difficult and probably pretty ineffective.

Our tanks should be on the SFA so we should be looking at a Hampden protest.

But let’s hear what’s going to be said first.

People on here and elsewhere who have decided to give up their season tickets have made a choice.

In most cases,it has been a very difficult choice,a decision which years ago they never thought would ever cross their minds.

By giving their reasons for this, they have two aims. The first is to explain to their fellow Tims why they will no longer attend. The second is in the forlorn hope-do you know the origin of that expression?-that their reasons will be noticed by the people they hold responsible.

If enough people give a similar reason, someone somewhere may perhaps pay attention and start putting things right.

It is NOT gratuitous attention-seeking;that is best left to others.

Whoever posted the John Lydon statement at the last ever Pistols gig? Nailed it for me and Scottish fitba. “Ever get the feeling you’ve been cheated?” Scunnered.

  12. Totally scunnered with the speculation of resolution 12 but not too surprised tbh, like many on here it feels like a kick in the gut from the custodians of our club . If proven to be true , Im out ! Maybe its time to do a FC United of Manchester !

All very reasonable. And all of which conjecture takes us past March 31

Is that based on the best possible legal advice? Just asking,as you seem to have suddenly stopped bandying that term about.

    WC,

Are you saying BRTH has not been telling you the facts ?

I can understand that kind of talk coming from the board gimps but someone that knows BRTH personally I think casting aspersions on his version of events is a bit too much.

Remember we are the representatives of those who supported the resolution not the board, we have faithfully reported when there was anything to tell and that was generally accepted even by you. Now we have bad news our integrity has suddenly become questionable, strange approach.

  15. Doc-just read back,looked like I was having a go at you,frustration abounds,apologies HH

My workmate on reading BRTH’s post this morning said the very same. We should start a breakaway club like Man U fans did. I disagreed, but he is 10 years younger and the Citizen Smith’s Wolfie in our factory. :-)

    WINNING CAPTAINS

    Facts?

The fact is that Celtic have less than three weeks to put in a complaint to UEFA or it is time-barred.

The fact is they have known this for some time.

The facts are clear, the extrapolation is that they are content for any complaint to be time-barred. And that their ‘assistance’ on Res 12 was an exercise in time-wasting to that deadline.

They have shown their contempt for the support and their support for the contemptible.

I said yesterday morning that their inaction smacked of incompetence or collusion. I no longer cut them even that amount of slack.

    They disgust me.

  20. Like many others today I have e- mailed JP Taylor and expressed my disgust in the board of Celtic Football Club.

In my communication I stated that if the board do not follow through on Res.12 then my whole family to a men, woman, children and grand-children will not be putting a brass farthing towards Celtic until that board has gone.

As a family we have followed Celtic through thick and thin and like all other fans of the club have spent vast amounts in doing so. Shares that we could ill afford were bought as were many season tickets, all of this was not done to allow a few rich cats on our board to rip us off or worse still sup their expensive drinks with the rotten to the core establishment.

This is the same establishment that has for all the time we have been in existence has tried to put us down with their dodgy brotherhood of referees in particular. They hate the fact that the rebels are still here and to think that any Celtic board would cow tow to these illigetimates sickens me.

I am 100% behind BRTH. All I am saying is let’s hear what else has to be said. We have waited years, what’s a few more hours?

When we have that we can then decide what we are going to do.
