There’s always a bit of trepidation before Celtic play a meaningless game, like they will do in Turkey tomorrow, the propensity to pick up injuries feels higher, although this is possibly not borne out by statistics.
Before Sunday the team look like they needed a break but no injuries, please.
It’s been a long time since I’ve heard allegations that some or other council are controlled by, and for the benefit of, an ethnic or religious minority. This is an old-time prejudice, up there along with allegations of criminality or the personal hygiene habits of the minority. But like Corporation buses, they come in groups.
Anyone can report Celtic for whatever they like, and believe me, many do. Which is a great pity, as there are real targets worthy of attention elsewhere….. For years, while others were buying football bling, Celtic were acquiring land, all appropriately, as is their borrowing. More importantly, they have been able to establish all of this without question. Confirmed.
Just because one club was an omni-shambles doesn’t mean any others are. Enjoy the laugh.

Said it before… any Celt daft enough to vote for independence should not be surprised what happens to our club when this lot get control of all the levers of state…
Sorry bur after I vote YES I dearly hope Scotland becomes Independent, this will NOT be a vote for the SNP. I will then as always vote for a left wing socialist party which will hopefully deliver an economic and social transformation of Scotland.
I repeat a YES vote is not a vote for the SNP
Oh, just before I go and watch ” Stargazing”. Reporting Scotland`s decision to report the land buying as it did is one of the most blatant cases of anti-Celtic bias I have witnessed by a national broadcaster. I completely support Celtic`s having released a statement.
Cheerio for now,

Now that ain’t exactly fair or true. Not the Bus posted the Daily Record revelation when Pele revealed The Deady Bears were the biggest club in the world.

Agree
re Striker dilemma…
Why don’t we play Commons as a Striker? My ideal would be Sami and Commons in a 4-4-2. I know they have been paired in the past but not in an orthodox big guy wee guy combo…
Assuming Sami stays ( I really hope he does) then I feel we’d do well to get a better a better pairing..
valentinesday
I agree 100%.
They run the country, the judiciary, the police for starters.
Too many Tims seem to forget that.

Think Kris likes the game in front of him. He ain’t fast enough, even when at his fighting weight to play on the shoulder.
Sometimes the board are right and I’m pleased
Sometimes the board are wrong and I’m annoyed
Sometimes the board are weak in our defence and I’m disgusted
Sometimes the board are strident in our defence and I’m proud
Tonight I’m proud

If Kris was played as a striker, who would play the ball forward to him?! He’s the only creative force we have in midfield…
True – I’m looking at a plot of land
Who does the negioting on behalf of us Tims ? Needing some help to get best price :-)
Incidentally should Craigy not be sueing someone for ripping him off for a £

you post a lot to me for one who says they will scroll by…
Great play from Man City.
Best team in England.
Commons could be a Scott MacDonald striker – his lack of pace is compensated by his quick feet/decision making, he gets his shots away quickly. I agree though he is also the only ‘tricky’ midfielder we have..
How long would Catholic schools last in an independent Scotland?
Independence ? Boils down to a gamble: safety or prosperity.
Totally unrelated…
Noticed this morning another Celtic Woman’s team member had been signed by Glasgow City.
How is GC funded? I realise just because its Celtic it doesn’t necessarily mean we have to be top in the woman’s game but I just wondered what the attraction of GC is?
Just wonder if City have the believe to beat Barca.
I know their fans do not.
I think they can then who knows?

Surely as some of these allegations focus on the role of politicians they have the right to be asked and the right to answer on this topic. Also is the health service who are also involved in these allegations not something the Scottish government controls?
As the whole thing is about alleged state aid surely someone from the state has the right and possibly the duty to make a comment especially when these allegations involve Scottish politicians and issues within Scotland.
Furthermore if the media ask the questions, someone from the government needs to answer. We know they asked no questions about our former rivals because they didn’t really want to but now they have a sniff of an anti-Celtic story they are chasing its scent.
Last time I checked the Scottish government have no control over the HMRC.
An indepentant Scotland would be full EU member ,unlike the UK and that should be a safeguard against any sectarian skullduggery by a government.
Today’s nonsense shows just what we are up against in the bestest littlest bigoted country in the world
In this parochial midden our manager can be threatened and assaulted with impunity
Our club can be hauled before the EC to answer ridiculous charges based on Internet gossip
concocted by a PR firm working on behalf of our deceased rivals
Those who are calling for the board to be more vocal on the Hun scandal should perhaps reflect on the scale of what we are up against here
As others have stated we would be in real trouble should this midden gets independence
Fantasists like Chris Graham and his master Irving would be calling the shots big time
HH
PS – it’s a good job these cretins don’t realise that EC really stands for Everthing’s Catholic!
Many years ago I actually studied many aspects of Town and Country Planning, Property Law, Planning Law, General Practice Surveying and the Built Environment among other subjects. While I can claim to be no expert on any of these subjects I can say one thing for certain and that is, that tinfoil head is a complete and utter tool/fool.
Snake-“Last time I checked the Scottish government have no control over the HMRC.” that’s not to say they haven’t tried recently………HH

How long would Catholic schools last in an independent Scotland?
In what way do you think a Scottish Govt could put forward a proposal to close down Catholic schools?
How would any party win an election on that premise?
How will it stand up in a European Court?
Would they not also have to close other faith schools like Muslim and Jewish ones?
How progressive would that look like and what sort of international investment would they attract on the back of any such decision?

Good to see the Hammers make a game of it…………….this could be 7 or 8
City 3-0 40 mins
Tomorrow’s DR Front Page-Ex Celt McGowan guilty of police assault……..
Man Citeh could play West Ham with 8 men and not get beat….
Man City world class. Hammers dogmeat. This could be a cricket score if they fancy it.

Googybhoy they would argue that religious freedom is protected and point to France as an example of a country with a theoretical Catholic majority but a secular education system. If it’s good enough for France why not Scotland. With only 800k Catholics in Scotland why would it harm their election prospects?
Bada Bing
Maybe. But who really knows?
What we do know is that these complaints that have been made involve more than Celtic and therefore the relevant bodies and their affiliates are a part of the ‘story’ no matter how spurious this is.
All the parties have the right and indeed I would expect them to make comment.
Some posters didn’t think Celtic should have dignified this with an answer. I disagree. This is a slur on our club and they had to say something just as other individuals/political parties/representatives need to say something because the allegation is a serious one even if a no case to answer verdict is as I expect returned.

I don’t think many of those who are of Irish decent would agree that they’ve benefited from British imperialism.
———————————————–
I would be interested to hear the opinion of the millions of Australians of Irish descent and the thousands of Irish people who have voted with their feet to come to this great country.
Sure, some were transported 200 years ago,but I don`t perceive any great rush from their descendents to “return to the bower”.
Quite the reverse ,in fact.
British imperialism?
Lets be honest.Credit where it`s due.
British and Irish imperialism.
Is tinfoilheid related to findlaysideboards?
All you need now for a proper scooby doo episode is ” ra bomber” on the steps of Celtic park shouting ” show me ra deeds”
Snake- I believe that when Salmond was asked about deadco he described them as a Scottish establishment- making no reference to any of the investigations they were under at the time.
