There’s always a bit of trepidation before Celtic play a meaningless game, like they will do in Turkey tomorrow, the propensity to pick up injuries feels higher, although this is possibly not borne out by statistics.
Before Sunday the team look like they needed a break but no injuries, please.
It’s been a long time since I’ve heard allegations that some or other council are controlled by, and for the benefit of, an ethnic or religious minority. This is an old-time prejudice, up there along with allegations of criminality or the personal hygiene habits of the minority. But like Corporation buses, they come in groups.
Anyone can report Celtic for whatever they like, and believe me, many do. Which is a great pity, as there are real targets worthy of attention elsewhere….. For years, while others were buying football bling, Celtic were acquiring land, all appropriately, as is their borrowing. More importantly, they have been able to establish all of this without question. Confirmed.
Just because one club was an omni-shambles doesn’t mean any others are. Enjoy the laugh.

Happy to have a fully transparent investigation by the EC or anyone else into our actings.
If we’ve received State Aid or anything else untoward – which I’m certain we won’t have – then we’ll take our punishment and move on.
What we won’t do is deflect , deny , avoid payment of our social taxes and creditors , go under to avoid our liabilities , complain about having been “punished” unjustly , infight, court convicted tax evaders and have no real sense of who owns us or our major “assets” , while constantly bleating about our dignity and deluding ourselves that all is well.

Having now stated the position that in our view there is nothing dodgy about the land deals (and for the avoidance of doubt, our banking arrangements), guess we’re in a much stronger position to persue anyone who continues with these allegations – whether on social or mainstream media.
Just wish we could react as quick when other constituents of the club (e.g. the supporters) are faced with sculerous allegations.

I know you won’t agree but Celtic had NO option but to make a statement today.
We are a PLC with a share price to protect, not to mention our reputation generally.
Failure to respond or clarify might have been deemed to signify concern or acknowledgment on our part.
Similiarly, I believe the club is best served by continuing not to comment officially on Rangers . I don’t believe PL or anyone else should comment on them in a public forum , such as the AGM , at all, even in jest.
Leave them to it themselves. They’ve got plenty of rope.
