Don’t mention the (boardroom) war

1004

With financial projections which provide entertaining reading, Rangers International promoted director, Walter Smith, to the position of chairman.  Smith immediately proclaimed, “Unity among the directors is vital”, although he was not asked about the forthcoming EGM where fellow directors Malcolm Murray and Chris Morgan face dismissal, while a third director, Charles Green, suggested he was going to resign by today, but has not got around to filling out the form yet (does this guy have ‘form’ when it comes to filling Companies House forms?)…..

They don’t do unity very well.

The only show in town is season ticket sales; for all clubs.  Maybe Celtic should appoint Martin O’Neill to the board for a few weeks to allow the newspapers to provide some bluster for those who more convinced by headlines and sound-bites than strategy?  Perhaps not.  Let’s stick to plan.

Lisbon Lion in Ayrshire, send reinforcements!

Willie Wallace will be at Waterstons in Ayr from 1-3pm this afternoon, get along (with camera) if you can.

Tomorrow Willie will be at the Celtic Superstore from 12-2pm before going to the Celtic Shop, Clydebank, from 3.30-5.30pm.  Get out and meet the man.

Great to meet so many people at Waterstons, Stirling, last night. The store sold out of Willie’s autobiography. There was actually a queue of people waiting to enter the store at one point.

Just a few days left on the auction for the signed Messi strip, a magnificent piece of football memorabilia. Keep an eye on it here.

Order your copy of Heart of a Lion, delivered before Father’s Day, below…..

My main point was not if sportline.bg is the best source for the news, or if it’s confirmed that Stiliyan Petrov stands behind these candidates for Villa.

My main point was Villa’s confirmed interest in another Bulgarian Popov.

I told about it becouse Popov looks like much better player than Tonev is and he can play attacking midfielder, right and left winger. The price for Popov is lower or the same the media mention for Tonev.

There you can see few questions regarding Tonev move. Villa’s interest in Tonev was not confirmed.

Any information on starting up a business?

I am looking to start an electrical contracting business.

I am a foreman electrician at the moment working for a major building services contractor at the moment.

Myself and colleague are looking to put a business model together but what I can’t actually seem to find is – should I register a company and declare to HMRC.

If I do can I still be employed by the major contractor I currently with and own a business at the same time?

If I own the business and be employed concurrently will I have any tax issues other than what I would

Declare that I made via MY new business?

I know it’s off topic this evening but as we all know CQN is a haven for info!

  4. Story emerging Arsenal have lodged a £12M bid for Wanyama.

Put a sell on clause in and I would take it.

If true, that will be the first bid, I can’t see us saying no to £20M unfortunately. ;(

    Terrible predicament…..

Did you see what Victor done to Lionel Messi over 2 games?

    “It is not easy”.

He is the best CDM in the World at this present Time, IMO and he still has so much to learn as he is just a Kid.

£15M is very cheap, next season, hopefully, we will be talking about him leaving for £30M.

  10. IMO if a club has seriously offered 10mil PL will be helping big Vic pack his bag.

Thanks for the info, I considered that however I’d rather stay employed by A.N Other until I see if the business would take off tbh.

were the you hear the vic/arsenal story?

As far as I’m concerned there is no story.

    Noone has provided any links.

  15. The transfer window does not open until July. I do expect bids for Big Vic but I wouldn’t expect any of the big players to show their hand this early. I honestly feel we should hold out for circa 15 million. Victor will be a huge player we won’t pick up his like too easy again.

  16. Re Vic & Ars

    Was in Express today.

BTW – I dont believe anything they print.

Andy McInnes’ old paper !. Enough said

There comes a time in every man’s life when he has to recognise that he got something wrong.

    I am in that time.

When the Mynah Bird uttered the immortal words,… ‘ Ah am a Fan– ‘, ..

I should have realised that, like the broken clock, he had to get it right some time.

I now concede that he was spot on.

Great news for Gooners as Arsenal have tabled a bid of £12M for Celtic midfielder Viktor Wanyama

  19. WDH.

Nice to see you back on.. not… ;-)

    Starry.

Cheers VIc is superior to song but still needs a couple of years to mature fully. I fear PL may worry about the izzie scenario when imo his price has reduced..

I think Big Vic is still a wee bit raw and I would love him to stay at least for next season with us and learn his trade so to speak, his potential is massive tho’ and if he goes I hope it will be to Arsenal as I still have a wee soft spot for them after my years in Norff Londahn..

Nice to see the Arse have tabled a bid in a windae that’s no even open now that’s clever..

Izz’y price will go back up after next season when the wee man returns to top form, I would dearly love us to keep this team together, money can’t buy you love!!
