Doubt remains until we hear the words Prima Facie

1323

Neil Doncaster has uttered the words “Prima Facie” more often than any other figure in public life since February when Celtic Quick News first asked if Rangers EBT payments were declared to the football authorities, almost always after the words “we don’t know if there is a”.  While we are all assuming the SPL have now established Rangers have a case to answer for illegally registering footballers for over a decade, it’s important to hear the words.

Rangers refused to submit information to the SPL for three months and only did so under the duress of a deadline, but we don’t know what they have submitted.  I have been concerned that Rangers would simply try to brass the entire episode out, submit the contracts the SFA and SPL already had, and deny having any record of side agreements.

Consider the clubs modus operandi in recent months and years.  Sir David Murray provided cover in March, categorically denying side contracts existed, while the current men in charge have been too busy to spare much time researching the issue.  A response of “We don’t have any information” would not have surprised me.  Rangers submitting full information – including details on the side letters which exist but which the BBC do not have – would surprise me.

The SPL should have realised months ago they would get nothing from Rangers without a deadline but they are in awkward position if the answer from the club is not what is expected.  It’s far from clear that they can take evidence from the BBC and may require information from the First Tier Tribunal verdict to substantiate what everyone knows.  The verdict is unlikely to confirm any names.

Until Mr Doncaster says “Prima Facie evidence exists” we should not assume this episode is on track to be dealt with.

  2. Catching up on what’s being thrashed out here tonight : I may not agree with what someone says, but I will defend to the death their right to say it.

If someone/anyone is upfront about what is on their minds it can be challenged or disagreed with.

It’s the hypocrites, backstabbers, doubledealers and those with ‘forked tongues’ whom I despise.

Y’know the kind…..? Like the political technocrats and sociopaths running the world right now. They are the ones who disseminate the idea that it’s okay to ‘spin’ everything so no one knows up from down.

Also, what was ‘acceptable’ 50 years ago is not so now,and what is ‘acceptable’ now will not be so 50 years hence.

hows tricks, did you enjoy the end of the season? Never got to a game myslef, so I’m due a few next yr. Enjopying the long drawn-oout dmeise of the Boche, the hubris and arrogance is breathtaking. Any concession to admiiting wrongdoing, accepting the consequences of their choices, would allow me as an empathic human to find forgiveness and help them move forward. As I watch their intransigent Ian-Paisley-and-David-Trimble-marching-on-Garvaghy-Road attitude, and their refusal to see that attitude as the main obstacle to their progress, I can’t decide if they shoul dbe pitied, despised, or rescued. They show no willingness to be rescued if it involves change; they know that changing means suffering, even if suffering for them means no trophies for a few years – while watching us thrive; so they are to be despised. Are the huns beyond hope? I truly hope so.

A can of worms is well and truly opened tonight.

Get your hands on a book simply called Paisley by Ed Maloney and Andy Pollak.

I have read it 3 times. The amount of Catholics lying in their graves through the ranting, raving and to be blunt lets murder the taigs campaign carried out by this bigot beggars belief. If anyone wants the book I’ll give them it free if they can’t purchase it.

Hail Hail my Good friend in Celtic, the Bilderberg is not as controlling as the CFR IMO.

Roll on the new season and a well drilled 3-5-2 to take Europe by surprise. ;))

Hi m8, I hope ye are well yer good self.

The end of season could have been a lot better if we had not been cheated out of the Cups, I’m not greedy, what Neil achieved this season was pricelsss, even losing both cup games. Neil will utilise both these events to make sure we win a lot more in the future IMO.

I cannae wait for Europe, we are going to have a good go at it I am sure.

  9. The Reverend Doctor’s past is despicable and that cannot be denied. His acts, and the encouragement he provided to others, is clearly documented and to my mind he has never been held accountable.

    Yet…

He met Martin McGuinness on an equal footing and entered into government with him, arguably a bigger sacrifice on his part than on MMcG’s, because of its inherent acceptance that NI is a failed state and is on its slow but inexorable path forward.

  13. petec,

there was nothing to be learned from the hertz game other than the old lesson about scoring enough to make the ref irrelevant. Didn’t happen, and the penalty decisions were a reminder of what we will continue to endure.

The league cup, to me, was a tactical failure by Neil. We weren’t aggressive enough and we didn’t adjust our approach early enough. Learning curve. No big deal. If the same thing happens next year, then I’ll be critical.

I’m pleased with how we did in Europe this year, and I’m encouraged by Neil’s willingness to be flexible with formations, and by how often it’s worked out for him.

Fkit, let the other teams have the cups. As it turned out, this season should highlight that Scottish football sans le Boche will not necessarily be a procession for us, and it will not be the predicted disaster.

Seems racism is a one-way street on here…

I recall that a certain poster linked a ‘special version’ of GSH’s “Whitey’s on the Moon’,which is widely regarded as an anti-white racist rant…

The same poster,on another occasion, posts a youtube link to a track ‘which reminded him of the first time he got lucky with a girl…’

“I had to settle for a white girl, going against my standards, because that was all that was ‘available’ at the time….”.

In between these posts,he had made other postings which might give you a certain impression…

One post consisted of a mere two words,”I’m Black !”.

Have to say….I was quite puzzled by the intentions of this poster.

Was he on the wind-up ?

Anyway, the huns are toast. They can’t achieve a CVA. No one is sure who owns the football ground located in Govan. The Big Tax Case is yet to declare, which could move their official debt from slim chance to no chance. Slim chance, by the way, is the proposed CVA, which says if we owe you £1000, we might pay you £90, if things work out OK. If we owe you £1000000, we might pay you £90K. That’s supposed to be alright – if you’re a huns creditor, having worked on their ground maintenance regularly for many years taking it on good faith that such a pillar of Scotland’s establishment will see you right, you’ll take that £90 instead of the £1000 they owe you? Or, when you see tonight’s news, that the heroic Huns players, who – before administrationcourageously crashed out of Europe twice to teams who between them accumulated 2 points in the diddy league in which Celtic managed 6 points, in a group with 3 seeded teams; bravely bottled it to Falkirk in the League Cup; were 15 points ahead in the SPL – are now back to full pay, which in some cases is c£10K per week!
