Doubt remains until we hear the words Prima Facie

1323

Neil Doncaster has uttered the words “Prima Facie” more often than any other figure in public life since February when Celtic Quick News first asked if Rangers EBT payments were declared to the football authorities, almost always after the words “we don’t know if there is a”.  While we are all assuming the SPL have now established Rangers have a case to answer for illegally registering footballers for over a decade, it’s important to hear the words.

Rangers refused to submit information to the SPL for three months and only did so under the duress of a deadline, but we don’t know what they have submitted.  I have been concerned that Rangers would simply try to brass the entire episode out, submit the contracts the SFA and SPL already had, and deny having any record of side agreements.

Consider the clubs modus operandi in recent months and years.  Sir David Murray provided cover in March, categorically denying side contracts existed, while the current men in charge have been too busy to spare much time researching the issue.  A response of “We don’t have any information” would not have surprised me.  Rangers submitting full information – including details on the side letters which exist but which the BBC do not have – would surprise me.

The SPL should have realised months ago they would get nothing from Rangers without a deadline but they are in awkward position if the answer from the club is not what is expected.  It’s far from clear that they can take evidence from the BBC and may require information from the First Tier Tribunal verdict to substantiate what everyone knows.  The verdict is unlikely to confirm any names.

Until Mr Doncaster says “Prima Facie evidence exists” we should not assume this episode is on track to be dealt with.

What was the developing point he was making about “Asian gentlemen?”

And did he answer my question about whether his No.2 son asked these people where they were from, or did he just assume based on the fact that “they all look the same” that they were Pakistanis or Indians, (no chance they could have been scottish?) and my other question, has anyone been jailed for saying “they all look the same”, as he seems to think his boy would be

    Hmmmmmm.

    Anyway, I’m off too bed.

Kojo will no doubt be along in a minute, to explain why “muslims are not our friends”, (and aye, that is a direct quote).

After reading through all the comments, I personally think, that his point was totally lost.

I don’t understand your “they all look the same comment” as it was from the other perspective from what I read. I think this is where the confusion has entered the discussion.

As for Kojo, I’ve not been online when he has been about, but I am glad the guy is back online and I will tell him that I have missed him because I really enjoy all his submissions to this blog, especially as he is quite willing to be a very lone voice and believes in what he is conveying. It takes a lot of courage to be that voice in the wilderness.

  2. I’m reading ‘The Kincora Scandal (MI5)’ by Chris Moore at the moment. It really is a disturbing book. The parallels that can be drawn between how the authorities/media managed that scandal and how they are doing so again with the Rangers debacle is disgusting.

    31003,

“Ya tube” “Ye warmer” Given some of terms you were directing at me earlier, these sound almost like terms of endearment.

“Pakistanis, Indians, Scottish Pakistani, Scottish Indian” – whatever way you want to describe them, getting back to your original post, why define people who are shopping in a supermarket for by their racial group? Hmmmm.

P.S. I see your original post at 23:29 has been deleted, was that because it was so innocuous and innoffensive?

  10. Little Feat were by far and away the best band that played at Celtic Park that day, Alex Harvey was a close second, Street Walkers were good, LS were dissapointing, The Who were even more dissapointing.

All about where yer head was at I suppose.

I said to Tom Mc the other night,

their strategy is to bring scottish football down with them

    today they achieved that

accepting and responding to a civil court ruling is the end

allowing and defending a dispute in civil court is an fifa offence

complying with a civil court decision is the precedent feared.

    Petec, your defence of Kojo;

“As for Kojo, I’ve not been online when he has been about, but I am glad the guy is back online and I will tell him that I have missed him because I really enjoy all his submissions to this blog, especially as he is quite willing to be a very lone voice and believes in what he is conveying. Fair enough, like many posters on here, you defend him and his ‘courage’.

    Good for you.

Just read the first book of The Hunger Games trilogy, on my Blackberry Playbook.

Decent read, and I can now talk to my nieces about something they like.

I like to go to sleep reading, and now with an ebook, I can read with white text on a dark background, in the dark in a sleeping position.

Correct mate.I did buy them both and Five Points as well, some Irish/American girl that i once knew recommended them to me.

One story in Five Points – This Chinese fella got married to an Irish girl, well they both used to get drunk and fight and sing – think he ended up doin’ her in – but the Chinaman kept singing rebel songs and trying to speak Gaelic – Im not sure but i think that he ended up in the nut house, yer woman wasn’t the the full shilling either, she probably drove the Chinaman insane.

Not saying that it was funny, because of what happened,it was a good wee story though.

  20. Another quick post.

Ill be getting a name soon as MWDPE. :-)

Kit. I can back up your sentiments re. Kincorra. Read the book and looked into this further. British establishment peadophilia organised by OO members. Shocking!!!

On another point (before I PE) 31003 posting tonight was taken out of context by a few on here. 31003 comments have been made publically to me and by me many a time in face to face conversations.

In fact. I had a conversation last week with my neighbour (a lovely gentleman) whom when i told him my job was at risk due to my company offshoring jobs to India stated “thats expletive expletive shocking. I cant understand those expletive Indians. I always put the phone down and try again for a Brit operator” in his broad Brummy accent.

    I agreed.

I have heard many a person reference asians as Indian or Pakistani without underlying racist connotations. Many a many’s time.

31003 is not a racist and never will be. Get off your offended horse.

Don’t make ludicrous generalisations like “Pakistanis are more likely to be terrorists”, “Africans are great runners”, “Catholics molest children”. I had to pull someone up today for asking why Africans like singing and dancing so much. There are just over a billion people living in Africa, never mind the millions in other parts of the world who might consider themselves in some way “African”. It is difficult to generalise on a more specious level than attributing a cultural behaviour to 1bn people.

You can of course be specific where there is evidence, eg “Kojo is a bigot.” [CQN passim.]
