Imagine trying telephone banking on a mobile while wearing boxing gloves. You’ve just imagined how many wrong options Forrest made tonight.

I’m with you on that.Couple of nervous clearances, but some decent tackling.
The pitch was a factor, but when did we last pass as badly as that ?

Oh my life. We were do poor even allowing for the pitch. Mark McGhee thought Izzy was composed in the 2nd half. You were watching a different game from me. And big Ambrose was rag-dolled by Bangura for 90 mins. Got out of jail on this occasion.

Heart worked overtime for the last hour. We got lucky tonight in that the team we were playing couldn’t take advantage of what was a dreadful performance. Ball retention no existent. As John Hartson has pointed out, the pitch didn’t help. Anyway, we’re through. Fingers crossed for a kind draw on Friday.
Did you see at at the end of the game, that’s what I like to see from Celtic Players…
Best defender at the club, him and Matthews..

Correct….cool heads….but not mine .. Hahaha…… Stupid pitch

not one player out there willing to take responsibility on the ball – low in confidence attributed to the sticky unpredictable surface (a big factor). We need a midfielder who wants the ball in any situation. We also need a striker who can hold the ball up and get us goals (stating the obvious but pointing out weaknesses tonight)
JF needs more composure instead of running without thinking – one dimensional and needs a lesson in guile.
not a single positive other than the most important one – we are through, thankfully.

Celtic’s potential opponents in the Play-off Round are Austria Vienna, Maribor, Ludogorets Razgrad, Shakhter Karagandy & Legia Warsaw/Molde.
Jings we got away with that ok, what a poor game and performance although it is ridiculous that we have to play qualifiers so early in the season.
Champions of your country, winners of the trophy and last 16’s in the previous year, why are we playing qualifiers, answer we don’t come from one of the “chosen” countries.

goldstar10,
do you only celebrate victories when we play well?

Changed days. An awful European away performance and we still qualified. Too many players well under par, a couple dreadful. Lustig MOTM.

Brilliant. Result, not the performance. Everybody, off-day. Including Lenny – Sammi off thus negaying the high out-ball and inviting enofmous pressure last 20? C’mon Lenny!
Anyway, before all you negative see you next tuesdays spout your venom, just rember it’s ALL about getting there right now. And we’ve only two stops to make.

Was not pretty performance but we are through thats what counts
starry, I’d agree with you Michael Lustig was our stand out player.
Snappy needling Elfs, they did not stop hassling Celtic, Celtic did great, but that park was shocking, but job done onwards and upwards.
Could be a wee trip to Austria
If the result is ALL that matters then obviously job done.
But the performance was embarrassing.
Surface was a factor but poor passing, poor control.
OL Bangura on the other hand had excellent control and
decent passing. :))
Well relieved. I f that was the fault of 3g then we need to practise more.
This was not another Braga or Utrecht only because they were just so bad.
We came across as a set of SPL / flat-track bullies.
Crap outside our own post code.
Shameful.
Shameful regarding the performance.
Shameful at the state of the team and the quality we have lost.
Well, that’s the champions of Sweden oot.
One less team of champions that can face us in next round.

Understatement of the year;
“We could have passed a bit better”
Neil Lennon
“Our back four were magnificent”
WTF??? Apart from Izzy, Efe and KW???
Hopefully NFL saying something else behind closed doors
I’ll play 5-a-side tomorrow on a better pitch than that, it’s flat!
Friday draw mate. Maribor, bulgarian
Champs, Kazakhstan mob, Austria
Vienna, and legia/molde. Need a drink
Pure torture
