PSG were wonderful last night. They served up a great night of European football as we witness what may be the end of the greatest team of all time.
Mark Warburton fired his opening salvo against Newco with a joint statement with Davie Weir and Frank McParland issued through the League Managers’ Association today:
“We would like to formally place on record, that at no stage did we resign from our positions at Rangers.
“It is a matter of surprise to us, and to the League Managers Association, which is advising all three of us, that despite its detailed public statements, the club has not answered key questions put to it by the LMA, in writing, requesting an explanation of why it suggested that we resigned from our positions.”
I’m cringing with embarrassment on behalf of the guys at Newco who have to sign up to this guff, Stewart Robertson in particular, who has titular hands on the wheel but must feel like a hostage to fortune. This is not how he ran things at Motherwell.
More lawyers’ fees, more reputational damage, less chance of a credible future.

Is Dick Wilson related to Jimmy Bell the driver/ kitman at Sevco. They look alike and spout the same WATP nonsense.
1 each the Gooners:-)

There are numerous excellent posters on this blog. I feel you are incorrect for your number 1 rule for posting on a blog.
IMO the number 1 rule for posting is not communicating the message, but having the courage of your convictions and actually posting your feelings, whether popular or unpopular.
Again in my opinion, I feel that all posters should be equally valued. From the most articulate to the most grammatically incorrect . The views of an ordinary Celtic fan who maybe struggles to express his opinions in print is just as valuable as the most eloquent poster. There should be no hierarchy in posters.
May I draw your attention to the 1% Internet rule ,where only 1% of website users create new content and 99% lurk.
We should encourage all lurkers to participate in posting; Without fear or favour. Nobody should be discouraged by thinking their posts are not good enough or valued enough.
Diversity of topic on the blog is one of its greatest attractions, so should diversity of posters.
Yes, great posters are an absolute bonus and credit to this blog, but there must always be a place for the ordinary Joe Bloggs.
Again IMO, just as Celtic should be open to all within it’s acceptable code of conduct, this Celtic blog should be welcoming to all, within it’s acceptable parameters.
HH to all .
For any huns checking out the League Mangers Association website, this is what greets them.

If there is a need or even just a want from the latter, it will be served by some entity. There is a need/want for the baser aspects of following “rangers”. It is a substantial need and it will find an outlet somehow. There will be those who want service these needs and will see profit in it. That is why I am firmly in the camp that believes that a “rangers” type entity will be with us in the near and medium term future. I am not pleased to see this but it is a sad cultural factor of our society, and culture changes very slowly.

I agree there will probably be a team in blue in Glasgow but I wonder after 3 or 4 years of generally poor performances against the likes of Hearts Hibs and the Dons what the crowds will be. Was it 5,000 they got for a game against Falkirk when things were going badly for them.
I know a few ex Huns who now go to see Ayr and Morton and if their kids are going and enjoying that they may lose the next generation.
Good strategy, Celtic loaning Christie to Aberdeen … Hahahahahahaha
Christie and it’s four..
Just need the Manchild at Hearts to take his team on a run noo:))
Dandies are determined tonight, Hopefully they can push on and solidify second. Murderwell will get slaughtered at Paradise on Sat if they play like that.
KLV
I know Brendan has only been here 9 months but one aspect of the domestic games so far is the belief that we will score. We have all been to games where after 20-30 minutes you know “it’s not going to happen today” Regardless of how well the team are playing and the chances we create you know it’s not going in. With goals coming from all through the team you always feel a goal will come with this team.. maybe only 1 but it’s usually enough.
Stuart Robertson is not the man Phil thought he was shocker.

Ernie @ 8.20pm.
You must have made that up:))
Classic.
Has anyone applied for the
Volunteer Manager position

Have they not suffered enough?

Dons stretching away fae huns on points and big goal difference. Hertz and Perth Saints must apply pressure for third and fourth in league.
CBN takes a look at Celtic number 10s. Do we miss Rogic- the team are scoring for fun and no obvious replacement exists? And a bit of nostalgia for Commons and Johansen lovers.

I’ve been flicking but from what I’ve seen both Napoli and Arsenal will be delighted with the current score lines.

Celtic in the 90’s was not in millions of pounds worth of debt. We needed a new stadium. We needed better players but we still had quality of the standard of McStay, Collins and a few others.
The economy, as I recall, was reasonably good and there was a bit of disposable income about. Fans were in a position to buy shares and season books. And they did.
In essence it was a very achievable and affordable thing that the bunnet took on. He actually made a small fortune in rebuilding the club. (Is there anyone since who has made money from getting control of a football club??) it was kind of the perfect storm.
Fast forward 20 odd years and the storm is perfect again. But this time in reverse. The ibrox franchise cannot be ‘saved’.
A version could turn up at hampden but it won’t be to the liking of the orcs who will have to leave mordor
