Ethics of exposing a vulnerable man, Pythonesque statement

337

You know what I think, defeats from rivals only do limited damage, the toxic poison comes from within.  Internecine strife, Bear on Bear action, can rip Newco apart.

I don’t know what Lee Wallace and our old pal Kenny Miller said to Graeme Murty on Sunday, but if it was along the lines of ‘You are out of your depth, incapable of operating at this level and exposed for what you are’, they would be correct.  That doesn’t make them right, though.

Speaking truth to the boss sounds like a good idea but commonly all it does is isolate you, weaken the boss and make everyone’s job more difficult.  Kenny Miller reached the Champions League knock out stages under Gordon Strachan, he knows what a good manager looks like.  Along with the rest of the world, he knows Murty is vulnerable and out of his depth, but it is not ethically, or tactically, a good thing to expose his vulnerability.

Whatever Miller and Wallace said was almost certainly right, but ethically it is up there with the solicitor-cum-tax advisor-cum-porn star-cum-convict Paul Baxendale Walker, who was Sir David Murray’s chief architect at Oldco and who faced a bankruptcy court hearing this week.

What an absolute shower.

Loved the statements yesterday.  ‘We’re so upset we are going to be quiet’, is Pythonesque.  It sits alongside ‘I fart in your general direction’ as an absurd masterpiece.

Just brilliant that another fan group caught the zeitgeist by telling fans “Millions have been ploughed into the club by the current board”.  So let’s not be hastily apportioning blame to Dave and Co.  I hope neither group realise how much fun they give.

I have never met KevJ. I would wager my lot that he is 100% Tim. I am related to someone just like Kev. Michael knows that Eric Riley is a mason, and it enrages him. My cousin and I both know Eric Riley. We know he is a mason, but it disnae bother me. He was our masonic SFA commitee hun. He is also a Rangers supporter. Knightswood is a small place, Eric knows that.

  2. KevJ may well be many things, but a hun isny one of them, you may as well call me a hun cos I agree with most of what he says.

Stray for the norm these days and it gets more like FF and hun media on here.

If Jobo says KevJ is a tim, then I think that answers it.

    But, frankly, who cares?

I would rather get truth from a zombie, than a lie from a tim….

play the ball, not the man …. and I have yet to hear a really good response to KEvJ’s basic point.

  5. THE EXILED TIM, you know what im gonna say, so keep on keeping on, and how is the dogs.hh.

A better performance for Cumbernauld tonight.

They seem to be on a win one, lose one streak.

Any way they beat Rutherglen Glencairn 4.2, they were 4 up at one point.

Paddy scored two and picked up a yellow too.

    They are playing Wed/Sat/Mon/Wed.

They play St Ants in one of the the cups next Wed, I think.

    Hail Hail

  7. I’m guessing the odd sleekit hun took a great deal of interest in what good tims were up to for various nefarious reasons.

The difference is his mocking of the Celtic support – for me that crosses a line.

The board for their inaction in the cheating on the other hand is fair game.

TET … I always had my suspicions about you!

And that Big Packy …if he’s defending KevJ, I’m pretty sure he’s one too …

and only a bear would think to use a timmy sounding name like Delaney … a dead give a way, but we’re too clever for that….! clearly, he’s another one, for sure!….

  11. MIKE IN TORONTO, hope you and seamus are well, dont know why we row with each other on here ,we are gonna be champions again soon, and a good chance of a treble, we all have opinions on here if kevjs opinions differ to ours so what.hh.

  12. What a support Cortone have, only 16,000 there but you would think there are 60,000, certainly put the GB to shame

Naw T. My dad was an Anglophobe. He never took to big Latchford. He loved Paul Elliot and Chris Sutton as two of his best Celtic players though. Maybe his hatred for England subsided a bit.

Always thought things could have been a lot different for Jorge Cadette if we had signed him when we should have no thanks to Farry and we could have beaten the Huns in the semi

The Mrs spent all afternoon doing what your Mrs does, she groomed three of the dugs, only another three to go, thankfully the rest don’t need a haircut, they are all fine thanks, hopefully F & B are the same.

Slagging the support is not on, but I honestly don’t think he means it like it comes across, the support imo are not in a position to give out when they activly condone the cheating and the corruption, many on here are doing so, they know what they are doing, they are giving the green light to the saf to carry on cheating, at the end of the day that is the bottom line, there is no other explanation, starve them of cash and change will happen, it’s as simple as that.

I’m not saying stave the club, but starve the sfa and the other clubs, they need our green pound to survive, without it they die, starve them and they will tell the sfa to get a grip and apply the rules as they should be applied.

If that is slagging the support, well I am in the same boat as Kev, I have said for years that the only way they will listen is not to give them money, I stand by that.

I spoke about my dad at his requiem mass. My uncle James told me that him and my dad were at Jimmy Johnstone’s debut. My dad said that wee bhoy will never make it. He redeemed himself slightly on seeing two debut performances and saying they were the best since Evans and Collins. My dad Bobby’s two favourite Bobbys. Their names were another Bobby and George.

My dad’s two modern favourites were Bobby Murdoch and George Connelly.

That was until Henrik and Lubo arrived.

He thought Lubo was the greatest two footed player ever.

I think the same about Lewis Morgan.

Been watching a lot of his stuff on you tube.

Huvnae a clue what foot is Lewis Morgan’s stronger. This kid is the real deal.

*It looks going by the personnel in the photies the 1972 Cup Final, as both Bobby Murdoch and Lou Macari were gone the following year.

Where you at the reserve match at motherwell the 4 trialists played in and thon big fella scored ?

*I take it yew mean the 4 Brazilians but as far as I can recall only 2 played in the reserves and one of them Inacio scored against Motherwell at Parkheid and yes I was there among the huge crowd, I believe he later played for the Bankies.

  25. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Jimmynotpaul, good win for Cumberauld tonight plus even better , Paddy scored twice. The schedule junior players have in April, May and sometimes into June , is unbelevable.

Clydebank lost 2 nil to Arthurlie tonight. They also lost by the same scoreline to Beith last Saturday after winning four games on the trot.

The Bankies are due to play away to East Kilbride Thistle next Wednesday In the Central League cup. The game has been postponed twice already , so third time lucky , hopefully.

Pollok beat Girvan 5 nil last Saturday .

  28. I can reveal that there is a listening device secreted in the Ibrox blue room which relays confidential conversations all the way to the Irish Republic. A similar device has now been secreted at Auchenhowie. This I know, dear reader, because I too, for the avoidance of doubt, have access to similar devices both in the White House and 10 Downing Street. It’s true, really!
