EURO RIVALS RUN AMOK

CELTIC’S Champions League rivals went on a 13-goal rampage as they all celebrated overwhelming league victories at the weekend.
Manchester City hammered four past former Hoops favourite Artur Boruc as Bournemouth failed to reply, Barcelona won 5-1 at Leganes and Borussia Monchengladbach overwhelmed Werder Bremen 4-1.
Pep Guardiola watched Kevin De Bruyne open the scoring with a free-kick while Kelechi Iheanacho, Raheem Sterling and Okay Gundogan added the others. The victory was marred, though, with the late sending-off of Spaniard Nolito near the end.img_2264.jpg
The City gaffer said: “Don’t say it’s too easy. I heard years ago the Premier League is the toughest league and I am going to accept that.”
Lionel Messi, fresh from his hat-trick display against the Hoops, netted twice in Barca’s away win with Luis Suarez and Neymar also getting in on the act. Rafinha added a fifth.
Thorgan Hazard and Raffael hit doubles as Monchengladbach piled the pressure on Bremen boss Viktor Skripnik, whose job is already under threat after THREE Bundesliga games!
Celtic were the only Group C side to fail to win at the weekend, with a 90th minute equaliser by Inverness stealing a point for the home side after Celtic dominated the second half without being able to add to their 2-1 half time lead.
