EX-CELTIC TITLE-WINNER MAY QUIT

FORMER Celtic boss Ronny Deila is on the brink of quitting Norwegian outfit Valerenga.

The ex-Hoops gaffer, who made way for Brendan Rodgers in May 2016, has been almost two years at the Oslo club.

Deila joined them following his two years at Parkhead where he won successive Premiership titles.

However, he has seen the team slump to eighth in the league after losing 2-0 to Stromsgodset, another of his former clubs.

Deila admitted: “It must be something I am doing wrong because it is not good enough. It is my responsibility.

“I am the leader of this club and if I cannot influence the players then perhaps I have to start looking at myself.

“I’m sorry for the fans who have had to watch this, but it’s not good enough. I thought last week’s defeat to Kristiansund was as bad as it could get, but this was actually even worse.

“I am going to take time and reflect on this. Something has gone very wrong.”
