Foregone conclusion territory

1955

I don’t know about you but practically every football thought I have at the moment is connected to where we go next. The small matter of winning the league title has slipped into ‘foregone conclusion’ territory, which is always dangerous.

The players will be no different from the rest of us, but they will have more on their minds. A change of manager is likely to mean a new system, and new squad requirements. They need to focus on making the best of the next five games. One thing that has been reassuring this week is Ronny Deila’s comments. His professional pride is clear; he’ll apply himself fully to the task in hand until the end of the season.

Eyes on the task of winning the league, as soon as possible.

I have a new laptop with a strange keyboard which is taking some getting used to.

Besides that, my hands are freezing!

That is why the spelling has gone to hell in a Bakset and why I keep making a doc of it!

Yahoo! Thompson was looking for his linesman to rule that one out too!

  3. In a way I’m sorry for Ronnie diela . Seems a right decent bloke , but decent blokes don’t always make good managers . IMHO the board have to think seriously about the state of the club at the moment , and recognise that if they don’t chose the new man wisely , we will find ourselves ,in the very same situation in a few years time . I posted the other day that top dollar should be paid to attract a top notch coach . Someone who will get the best out of the few players fit to wear the jersey . And ruthless enough to get rid of the ones who aren’t . And I believe we have to many in that category. The crunch is coming for the board , or should I say dermot Desmond and peter lawell . If they don’t realise the fans concerns of how low they have taken one of the greatest clubs in world football then it’s going to be a dark period for the celtic . Get it right this time , we’re all watching you .

Why attack Paul67 over Lawwell? If you don’t like what Paul67 provides on here, simply go elsewhere or start your own blog, where you can air your opinions to your heart’s content.

Family time the last trip, always more to do than you think! Be over again at some point this year to see the Hoops and some of CQN’s finest.

  8. 2-0 it should be 3, unless an almighty collapse in 2nd half from saints , it looks like the league is safe.

  9. Mibbery at its foulest and Thomshun will get away with it thank God St J backed it up with a second. We can take nowt for granted in this football association.

  12. Half Time, 2 nil should be at least 3. Aberdeen have been shocking in 1st half. In fairness I have seen a few of their games and they are better then what they’ve shown so far tonight.

  13. Exiled tim,

agree with you on that , very blatant from Thompson. His cheating isn’t saving the sheep here, unless he can award an early penalty or red card.

Some days you me and everyone else can take a decision to stay off the blog. Paul hasn’t often had that luxury.

Give the guy a break will you? There’s more things in all our lives other than football and the blog and sometimes they take priority.

I spoke to him today about the expectation based on his post at the start of the week and his view is that events somewhat overtook that.

Nevertheless I think that will come next week.

We also discussed getting a cross section of the blog together – maybe 20 posters on here representing various spectrums of opinion from Neganon to the most positive and have a Q&A at Celtic Park with PL.

Each can report back as they see fit.

That’s the plan. It needs to be organised and so on.

As for Neganon 2 saying PL was party to 5 Way Agreement I recently was given some primary source information on this and can tell you it’s B/S. If you are going to get your point across better stick to facts rather than speculation built on a fixed negative position.

That opening St Johnstone goal was the TENTH they have scored against Aberdeen this season.
