No one was to know demand would be so buoyant from Aberdeen, but now the SPFL do know, they need to ensure the spare circa 13,000 tickets are sold to Aberdeen fans in a controlled manner.

In my opinion VVD will leave at one season earlier than he should….in the summer.
Some patronising whispers being heard down here from EPL clubs suggest he will go for less than some people think.
No international experience,played in an under performing CL team,plays in a backwater league.
Personal opinion…….could be as good as Rio was at his peak( can’t stand ManUre but hey what a player he was for them!!).His style is very reminiscent of Mr.Ferdinand.
I think VVD would be a very good player in EPL,from what I’ve seen.It will all be down to whether he thinks he is ready to cut it against Suarez,Van Persies,and Agueros of this world.He strikes me as too intelligent to let his agent railroad him into a move which is too soon for him.
Stick or Twist time in the Summer.If he moves then I reckon between 7/8 million.Wait a year….could go for double this amount.Hope he stays for at least one more CL campaign in Hoops.

Big Vic bossed midfields in CL games,against very good teams,and got noticed for this.
Wanyama went for 12 million.Nothing to suggest VVD will go for this just yet.
EPL teams look at previous big money signings from SPL ( Hutton and Boumsong spring to mind) and tread with caution.

i agree with ye. i would like nothing more that to see our academy players getting their big chance in the senior team. in fact my dream is to see 11 homegrown players line out for celtic before my time is up. i just believe any young defenders put in alongside efe will have an extra weight on their shoulders as he seems to have the concentration levels of a goldfish at times.
