Free weekends just not right

602

There’s something not right about a free weekend in early March; we should still have been in the Cup.  Congratulations are therefore due to the five managers who remain in the competition, who have each shown remarkable abilities and are truly invaluable resources to their respective clubs – worth contract extensions all round.

Congratulations are also due to the 40,000 Aberdeen fans who will pack Celtic Park next weekend for the League Cup Final.  Opponents, Inverness, have shifted only 7,000 of their 20,000 allocation, although I hear there is a brisk trade in tickets this morning, many of which will end up in the hands of Aberdeen supporters.

40,000 Aberdeen fans at a game may be unprecedented, despite the 147,365 attendance at their 1937 Scottish Cup Final against Celtic.  No one was to know demand would be so buoyant from Aberdeen, but now the SPFL do know, they need to ensure the spare circa 13,000 tickets are sold to Aberdeen fans in a controlled manner.

Many thanks to everyone who donated to Mary’s Meals since the MyDonate link went up on Friday.  We are more than halfway there to funding the second school kitchen, at St Joseph’s Primary School in Kasungu, Malawi.  Stunned at the response.  You can get involved here.

Seville, The Celtic Movement, launches this month.

“It might not happen anytime soon but sometime down the line I’d like to think we could get there again. Maybe even go that extra mile and win the Cup. Henrik Larsson was our hero in this outstanding run and we’d probably need to look at finding another Henrik to get us there again! Remember that Celtic recently finished ahead of Benfica in Champions League Group stages and they dropped into the Europa Cup, reached the final and were very unlucky not to win it.”

As the Big Mhan Upstairs is my witness I’m most certainly not and wouldn’t.

I know more than enough about farming never to disrespect the efforts and time required.

But I will confess to having a stoooopid sense of humour and just like the notion of your beasties sitting down, cutlery at the ready, for breakfast.

Hope that clears it up sir.

If it’s a Dell make sure you get a genuine battery. They can detect 3rd party ones and it might not charge. Which is what has happened to me – false economy.

Only way round that is to do BIOS updates which can be fatal if they go wrong.

  13. I have had a great time recently looking through old articles about Celtic. How about this though? A number of pictures show Celtic players celebrating notable victories. Nothing surprising there. Get this though: a number of the pictures show policemen in the background. Now, one would naturally assume that their faces would resemble thunder as they witness the Celts winning a trophy. But they don’t. They sometimes show policemen with broad smiles on their faces! What happened to those guys I wonder?

You can never throw mud at people with principles,if they play with a straight bat.

Just saying this afore I leave the blog……

Because certain fans don’t want to see the huns again

disny mean that – ye wulny!!!

    Because resolution 12 ‘might’ prove – collusion / cheating / whatever…..

disny mean that the ‘bored’ will pursue the SFA / Whoever ?

What will make the ‘bored’ act and, go for the bassas who cheated the

Celtic support and, the support’s of all the other Scottish clubs in competition

with the huns is, now….I know that this might not be the right time, with respect

but, the Celtic ‘bored’ don’t have to put in a shift for your money cos, you just

turn up with the best intentions for Celtic with yer contributions to the club but,

you have to ask yerselve’s…at what point does the ‘bored’ fight ‘YOUR’ battles ?

I would say that, they have enjoyed a charmed existence cos, they don’t have to work for ‘your’

money. So…change that dynamic. Only ‘YOU’ can make the ‘bored’ get the gloves on, get into the ring and, fight the corner of the of the vicTIMS of the greatest sporting scandal in the history of the game.

When yer SB-renewal forms drop through the door…get yer thinking caps on.

It’s at this time of the year that, ‘YOU’ get the chance to call the shots – not at a hand-picked AGM were shareholders are easily kidded-on with – Rory Bremner style – cheap digs at the huns. Yeah, very funny. The ‘bored’ must have a collective wet-dream when these pea-shooters farces are played out. Talk about mugs ? Aye…..

One more fence for the died-huns to jump and they’ll be right back – cheating the nicks off yeez and what will the ‘bored’ do about it ? F all – as usual. imho

It’s ‘YOUR’ call fellow Tims – be shady or – be shafted !

Good luck to you all – Goodbye.
