Those of you who were not around in the 90s, when the Fergus McCann regime was in place, might be unfamiliar with the stories around Giorgos Giakoumakis and Josip Juranovic. Peddling this line was an industry back in Fergus’ day. Players and agents were figuratively battering journalists’ doors down with the fine print in unwritten contracts. Now, as then, these players have expensive agents and lawyers. Nothing is agreed that is not in the contract. Contracts can contain clauses with bonuses or uplifts based on appearances, goals, club success or pretty much any metric you can think of. If it remains unwritten, it is not an agreement.
As far as Josip (27) and Giorgos (28 next week), honestly, you don’t even need to ask. Those of us who have ambitions to kick on, move beyond our European cannon fodder status, will want to Asset Manage both of them. The recruitment operation that brought them to the club in 2021 has only grown in resource; throw the dice without a moment’s hesitation. Greatness was never achieved by being conservative.

In the STLL LINE VAR Photo, the Belgium players arm is playing the Croatian boy ONSIDE, in the buil up to the Penalty that was awarded by the Ref.
The arm doesn’t count. Only areas of the body that can legally play the ball come into play for offside calls.
Crazy I know.

Receiving letters from HMRC that are addressed to me, not my name, just my address being used by limted company….i opened them up to confirm this. I checked this on companies house and sure enough a newly formed company has set up using my home address. I emailed them (companies house) to remove my address as i was concerned this is ‘Identity theft’ but have heard nothing from them.

As a precaution sign yourself up to a Credit Referencing Agency and do a credit check on yourself.
You shouldn’t have to pay for this
The reason for doing the above is to check there are no loans or car finance etc showing under your name and address.
Hopefully there won’t be anything else shows up when you do the credit check.
But however set this company up are crooks! Have they done anything else?

You need to contact Companies House and tell them what’s happened. They have a procedure to rectify their records.
If the scammers have been using your address to sell non existent goods be prepared for disgruntled customers appearing on your doorstep.
You could try searching the company name online to see what they’ve been up to.
Re Johnston, he looked like a player who’s played the inverted FB position before, regularly moved into right midfield.
