We had a special night at the Celtic Supporters’ Association’s 67th Annual Rally last night. It was great to see our two treble winning captains: Tom Boyd giving praise to the giant of the European game, Billy McNeill.
I had a chat with Scott Brown, who received his Association Player of the Year award. A day before he collects his fourth consecutive league championship trophy you’d think he would afford a moment of satisfaction, but he’s not happy this isn’t a treble winning season. The events at Hampden last month have left an open wound. All he could talk about was going one better next season.
Before you leave for the game tomorrow remember to bring along some change to buy a Ronny Roar badge to raise funds for the work of your Foundation. See you there.

I may be talking pish here, but is Dylan McGeough not on 5k a week?
HH!!
Scott Allan for Celtic?
Never gonna happen.
Tom – I reckon motherwell will do them. And I think it will be easier for them than some might think.
In case anyone missed it…

“It was surreal,” recalled Dean Shiels, who played for Hibs that day and is now in his third season with Rangers. “We were getting beaten 1-0 and that suited us because we were in Europe if we avoided losing three or four. Obviously 1-0 suited Rangers and I have never played in a match like it in my life.
“I remember chatting to Ferguson and Michael Ball during the game. We had time to talk on the pitch because there was no action happening. We were just sitting off the game and the Rangers back four were just passing the ball across the pitch. We were in no rush to chase the ball, we were happy to lose 1-0.”
..
Imagine a Motherwell (Celtic Supporting Player) making that Statement ..
Hmmm..

I thought £3k+…. Either outwith Hibs capabilities
BMCUWP
And…Mowbray was the manager of Hibs
Xavi Hernandez for Celtic?
Never gonnae happen.
Well maybe three years down the line when he will be 37.
Better late than never.
HH!!
Dear Tom,
No apology for you error because you think what I said meant it.
Mmmmmmm,……..
Dallas
Hmmm…..interesting. I like the rumour though, if we can’t have an early summer signing we can still have rumours.
I like him, because he’s a right sided creative, something we lack. He’d balance the squad and with the number of games we play, there’s a prospect in him.
Bitton holding, Brown battling, and take your pick and rotate from Scott Allan, James Forrest, Kris Commons, Stuart Armstrong, and GMS.
That could get a grasp on CL qualification, provided we sort what we’re doing at centre back, and don’t see the return of any ole Celtic sieve.
Referendum result on marriage equality for people of all sexual orientations just announced here: 1.2m in favour, 700k against. Ireland becomes the first country to bring in gay marriage by popular vote. Great day for those of us with gay relatives.
Looking forward to tomorrow, hope we complete the season with a win

neganon2/ Tom mc…
I reckon the two of you could sort this out with a pillow fight…last mhan standing gets the last word;))
When a player is transferred from one team to another, he often takes a drop in wages. The idea that the buying club always has to match the player’s current wage is unrealistic.
Players often move to smaller, poorer clubs for a variety of reasons, mainly a regular place in the team. You have to weigh up everything and often players move for lower wages.

I read that Xavi lost a fortune in the Spanish economy crash, something about his family owning a building/construction company. Was the reason he was accepting $30mill to play in the middle east for 2 years. So if we can trump that bid we have a chance??

What was wrong wi Brian Dempsey…?
From what I recall, Brian was a fairly nice guy who talked a good game.
However, he appeared not too willing to put up the readies when Fergus spelled out who the top man was to be.
Please. Can we ban all talk of signings until transfer window is closed.
Wee wing mirrors,take bow son.
Class!!!.
Dear me, some people!
No interest in the new club…no interest at all. The more the obsessives obsess the more justification of the erroneous reporting of the same club mantra.
Anyway that’s not why I’m on…
Rarely, very rarely bet. Indeed I need someone else to put the bet on for me! Its in my waters…Motherwell to avoid relegation. Haven’t been so certain in my waters since Rubstic won the National and Rough and Tumble was third!!! Excellent year for the office sweep that year…1979!
So £50 of the Queens good pounds I’m prepared to levy. Anyone know the odds????

A fair bit more decisive than Independence Referendum
Imagine obsessing about equality and sporying integrity …madness .. Ehhh???
The window for transfers between clubs in the same country opens 1st June but for international transfers it’s 1st July.
pfayr…
No offence intended…same club and integrity not necessarily the same issue. IMO…

Sporting .. Even
We could always try and tempt Andrea Pirlo to join us.
Does’nt need the money.
Well apart from payments to his ex-wife which are quite substantial apparently.
His father is a multi-millionaire, however, and runs the family steel business. Does that ring an (alarm) bell?!
Andrea has a wee stake.
HH!!
I hope Nir Bitton is going nowhere. He is already one of the first names on the team sheet. The Bhoy oozes class.
PF
Absolutely.
Quonno: It’s been on the cards. At our school’s graduation mass last Monday the majority of students were wearing YES badges. They also wore them around the school with nobody objecting. Times have changed indeed, for the better.

Frankly I’m fed up with the Sevco thing …love to see getting stuffed
However…my main reason for comment relates to the SFA / MIB cheating
As for old club / new club argument .. I can’t see what is obsessive about wanting Scottish football to deal in reality rather than in their small minded made up shite way
Mixed views on Scott Allan. Can’t make my mind up myself. We were interested 3 or 4 years ago and missed out as he said he would never play in glasgow. Who knows but my only other cqn scoop was that thommo had been sacked and that caused a fair few raised eyebrows at the time…..
For the music buffs who subscribe to Napster the Weller career complilation is very good….
2 season tickets renewed yesterday and a friends kid, moved from the 50 quid to teenager since last year…
Still great value for showing your Son where Celtic Park is and what it represents…..
The best thing in years is “The Celtic Way”, we detour every game to go up there….big improvement on what was there….
Looking forward to tomorrow…

Let’s leave it to the good old SMSM to push the ‘Biton for the off’ rumours please.
After all, it’s what they do best.
pfayr….
Respect for those who carry the fight…
I can’t be arsed with it.
Celtic winning and dominating is enough for me.
The new club are shit and will be for years.
The SFA are as was and is and will be.
We win and triumph by overcoming all…it floats my boat and it makes us stronger. Despite what I’ve just typed my old dad would tell you the SFA, refs and masonic rites are as nothing compared to the old days.
The old days must have been truely horrendous. LOL

Best price for Motherwell too stay is 5/4 with Corals, is it worth £50 of your hard earned cash is up to your good self, me personally will just laugh when wee Skippy notches the goal that keeps them “where they don’t even deserve to be”
