We had a special night at the Celtic Supporters’ Association’s 67th Annual Rally last night. It was great to see our two treble winning captains: Tom Boyd giving praise to the giant of the European game, Billy McNeill.
I had a chat with Scott Brown, who received his Association Player of the Year award. A day before he collects his fourth consecutive league championship trophy you’d think he would afford a moment of satisfaction, but he’s not happy this isn’t a treble winning season. The events at Hampden last month have left an open wound. All he could talk about was going one better next season.
Before you leave for the game tomorrow remember to bring along some change to buy a Ronny Roar badge to raise funds for the work of your Foundation. See you there.

Fairly well documented that Scott Allen wants to play for the Huns …..
If we want him we’ll get him …they can’t compete with us …of course Allen may not wish to play for us …his loss if so
Or his name in surname, like Cambell Oglivie? Double surnames are worse.

I didn’t know that. Wee Naismith was like that. A good player who would never have gone to Celtic.
So was McCoist who I was glad to see going to Sunderland having watched him score regularly at 5s at lunch time from all and any angle.

I don’t. ;-)
But don’t for doubt for a second, you did just that.

Same time same place, probably. I’ll probably be in Bath or mibbe Bristol if BILLYBHOY05 is still down here. I like a pint of GIRUY and Bill serves an excellent schooner.
I’ll mail the troops and see who’s available and when. Obviously you’re a definite and my Dad is a ffs please.

As I now recall I not only picked Grant from the previous seasons winners but also pint sized George Gray to make up my winning team.
When it came to winning my hypocrisy knew no bounds. :)
According to impeccable sources who were familiar with Scott Brown’s ‘background’ he was signing, for a former club.
It’s why we are better CSC
Anyway, party time tomorrow

I hate to see anyone lose their job, old enough to have seen in it on a lot of occasions, luckily I’ve always dodged the bullet.
Maybe, the sound advice I got from an old tim tradesman stood me in good stead when I was a pup….make sure your twice as good as a hun at your job or you will be out the door first.
I’ve watched huns stab huns in the back lately, as they know it’s now down to if you can do your job and not if you can rattle a knuckle.
Their time is over, in my workplace anyway :))

Ye no like our goalie’s name? ;))

I have been on the site since 2008,used to love your tales and still would if you repeated them.
It’s a genuine pleasure. Just to know that we have a lej looking in.
But we don’t trash Celtic. We look at what they have done and then we comment on it.

Congratulations on leading the CQN tipsters at the finishing line ,mighty tipping
See this wee guy Scott Allan, he has done well for the Hibees this season, fair play, Stuart Armstrong, Scotty Bhoy, Stef Jo, Nir Biton, Kriisy Bhoy Commons, never mind GMS or wee Jamesy and hopefully a one or two additions, he is no for me, we have been telling each other that the championship is pretty rubbish so why take a punt on this guy, although Ronny could probably make him anything….. If Ronny says yes, well it’s a yes from me, that post is what’s called not knowing your own mind

good mhan
Scott Allan? Who he? Would be a certain starter in our development squad. Perhaps we should understand how poor the Championship is…if some one can score lots of goal there , yes, take a look. Goalscorers are the prize , box to box midfielders are dime a dozen.
I remember a documentary years ago on the bbc about Lawrie McMenemy and how he dealt with players looking for silly money.
He recounted a tale of a player who was an average, steady midfield runner. At the time Lawrie had Channon and Ball as his star players and biggest earners, this player had decided he was worth more money. Lawrie and his assistant were in the office when the player asked for more money, Lawrie asked his assistant to open the window and shout out at the council bin men who were emptying the bins in the car park. His assistant said ” what do I ask for?” Lawrie said ask any of the road sweepers if they fancied £300 a week. The player looked worried, he wanted £300 a week.
Lawrie then said ” look son, I can get anyone to do your job for £300 a week. .Channon and Ball can do your job and do their own job , I don’t think we need any more road sweepers the player settled for £200 a week.
We don’t need any more bench fillers….one good goalscorer and a dominant centre half please.
Gary 67 Thanking you. Are those stats accurate ? 83 84 season average attendance 18000
