Greenock, Argyle St and what Celtic Movement is all about

949

We are only two days away from the 9 in a row CQN Open, which again takes place at Aberdour Golf Club in Fife.  This year our guest of honour is Lisbon Lion, Willie Wallace.  We have already raised over £2000 from a shirt auction and raffle (thank you very much to all who participated) but we have a quick opportunity for you to win a signed Celtic strip in a raffle, ending on Saturday.

Tickets cost £1, if you can afford £1, get involved here.  Proceeds go towards 1254125, which is a crucial part of orientating the Celtic Movement in the direction of our founding fathers.

Willie Wallace will be at the Celtic Store, Argyle St, for late night shopping, from 5.30-7.30 pm tomorrow (Thursday) night.  Where you can buy a signed copy of his book and have a chat with the man himself.  Bring a camera.

Immediately after leaving the Celtic Store tomorrow Willie and Brogan Rogan (and a pile of books) are heading to the Greenock Celtic Supporters’ Club for a CQN Question and Answer evening.  Entry costs £2 (all of which is going to our charity causes).  DON’T FORGET YOUR CAMERA!!

I know many of you have read Brogan Rogan but if you’ve not seen him and Willie Wallace in action, get along tomorrow, it will be another classic Celtic night.  Tickets are available at the door.

Thanks to everyone who helped organise all of these events, more on that later.

Way past it’s sell by date the SFA and that is the problem, too many guys into their own power and the good of the game has long since disappeared off the agenda apart from a few clubs Scottish Football is badly run and living off the illusion that somehow we are great or important in world football!!

i read you mention a fella last week called peter o’brien. When i was an apprentice joiner (30 yrs ago), one of the tradesmen who taught went by that name. A blantyre man too. He would be around 55-60 now methinks. He was very kind to me and always had time go over what we were doing and why we were doing it that way. Was wondering if this is the same man. Oh and an unrepentant fenian too :o)

Aye, met him at the last Doha CSC meeting, for the Juventus home game, a good fella, bad night, he helped us break the Qatar world record for swearing at a TV that night. Lack of TV coverage for games has left that as the last meeting.

Aye I heard a rumour there was something on at Glasgow Green, not sure what, seems very hush hush…

Thanks for your reply , I have emailed the SFA looking for clarification of the Article and amendment .

I have also asked them if they consider the club playing at Ibrox to be a continuation of RFC 1872 or a NEW club .

I have also asked them to quote the relevant Articles of Association which covered the RFC liquidation event .

Not holding my breath for an honest answer .
