The Swedish striker, who started life at Parkhead in whirlwind style after arriving on a season-long loan from Manchester City, ran out of steam at the turn of the year.
However, he took the opportunity after the 5-0 four-in-a-row success over Inverness Caley Thistle yesterday to thank everyone connected with the Hoops.
Through his Instagram account, he wrote: “I just wanna say thank you to all the players and staff of Celtic and also to all the wonderful fans! It’s been an amazing year.
“I won my first two titles, I met so many amazing people, but, best of all, I got to play in a full Celtic Park on a European night which Celtic are known for all around the world!
“So thank you once again. I am very proud and so happy to have played for Celtic! God bless everyone! Hail! Hail!”
The 23-year-old frontman became a hit with the supporters when he hammered in 11 goals in 16 games at the start of the campaign, but struggled afterwards and could claim only four this year.
