It was an absolute belter btw!!
Not a great permanence – but a fine goal from Matthews.
We haven’t really got our passing going, Griffiths is not involved – although he did very well to win the ball in the move we scored from. We need more from Commons and Johansen too.

Don’t think Commons is doing much either, and Griffiths having to drop way to deep to get a touch of the ball

Very pleased for Adam Matthews
He has been getting a bit of stick recently – I think he is a good player, and potentially a great player.
Wee bit of pace, dig, and can play.
Might be long term he is a box to box midfielder, he has all the attributes.

We need a midfield playmaker in order to change our attacking moves and not always useing our full backs. Our striker who ever we play doesnt get enough chances.Mind you that was a lovely goal from Matthews. H.H.

I think it’s the dig that’s been missing, along with a bit of confidence, from Adam’s game.
Hopefully that goal will help.
Why is Commons not playing?
IMO poor stuff from the bhoys thus far apart from AM’s brilliant strike. Don’t think any of the watching scouts would be overly impressed by anyone on the field during the 1st half.
Good goal, but Stephanie Roche’s one was better.
And I’m sure McAvennie would agree.

Great goal, apart from that not much.
Desperately need a creative midfielder who can dictate the attack, change the pace etc.
The return of Denayer making a difference for the better, but he needs to improve his distribution when passing forward.
Move SB out to the right and bring CC more central.
HT Hamilton 0-1 Celtic
Very tight first half. Celtic deservedly in front as we are the only team showing any real commitment going forward. Hamilton content to sit in and try hit on the break and theyare making it tough for us to find space in the final 3rd.
Once again our midfield are not firing on all cylinders. Biton the stand out, and a couple of good touches from young Henderson, but Johansen a passenger today and Broonie’s headknock seems to have left him in a daze. Griff is not getting much service but he is working his tail off and getting into the right positions.
Brilliant goal from Mathews brightened up the half. Very well worked and a cracking finish.
We have had good opportunities going down the right so maybe we’ll see more of that in second half.
Game far from over, but so far so good
Hard to recall a decent at this ground, Tanner on now what negatives will he come up with
Decent performance on an awful pitch.
Not one for the purists , 3 points will do fine

The way I see that first half, a bit too hurried at times but a very difficult surface for both sides making it look a bit scrappy.
Denayer giving away possession too often with searching balls from the back.
Biton best Celtic player in my opinion in that half as he is playing with his brain as well as his feet.
We are not too bad at all, first touch crucial on this surface.
Ref going quite well I think managing the game not just looking to book.
Here’s to a productive second half.
Apart from the goal the only player on the park trying to play football is Nir Bitton, would love to see him burst the net like Adam.
Denayer also having a good game with big Virgil trying his best to look like a leader for the watching scouts.
Good to be one up hopefully more to come in the second half.

Fantastic goal started by Leigh showing Henderson how to win a ball,great pass to Commons who passed the ball right away(miracles do happen) and Adam scores the goal of the month, bnrilliant.
The rest of the first half is the usual pish when we come up against a well drilled team.

Agree ron, midfield out of sorts today, not a good balance there. Also the pace is too slow in the build up.
Had just been musing on how our front men, SJ, KC, LG and LH had been missing in action, when Liam and Leigh rob the ball on the wing.
Nice bit of footwork and a pass to Commons.
The rest is goal of the season stuff.
Better service required from wide positions and I’d like to see midfielders moving on to the ball from cutbacks to the 18 yard line.
Apart from that it has been a scrappy game, as these games often are.
All about three points today.
