HAPPY HENRY – DESPITE DEFEAT

1
CELTIC target Henry Onyekuru returned to KAS Eupen’s first team in the 2-0 home defeat from Waasland-Bevern.
The 19-year-old Nigerian striker made his comeback at the weekend after going AWOl and missing three games for the Belgian outfit.
And Onyekuru claimed his club have agreed to allow him go at the end of the season – which could see him land his dream transfer to the Scottish champions.
The Hoops were unsuccessful in their January move for the exciting attacker after KAS Eupen rejected their £1million bid.
A disappointed Onyekuru staged an impromptu vanishing act before returning last week.
As reported in CQN yesterday, he said: “It wasn’t easy while it lasted, but I thank God it’s been resolved.
“An agreement was reached with Eupen that I will be allowed to move in the summer to my club of choice.
“For now, I remain with Eupen until the end of the season.”
Onyekuru played the full 90 minutes of the weekend Jupiter League game as his side struggled after conceding two first-half goals.
Eupen, who were promoted just last season, are third bottom with only 21 points from 25 games.
They are three ahead of rock-bottom Mouscron-Peruweiz.
