Hearts resentment reservoir

581

If you do not have a knot in your stomach, you should.  Hearts managed to relegate themselves last season through inept performances against teams clearly below them in the food chain.  They upped their game against Hibs and (especially) Newco, posing questions that the Budgeocracy has yet to consider.  On Sunday, we face a team of usually-can’t-be-bothereds with a grudge.

In October, they started their Championship campaign by putting six goals past Dundee, whom they blame for siding with Peter Lawwell in the discussions that determined how last season’s league campaign would end.  Then they beat Hibs, who they can always be bothered to play, in the Scottish Cup semi-final.

The new stands at Tynecastle act as a reservoir of resentment and Celtic are top of their list.  Who else, other than their players, either managers, or the insightful new broom that was going to show football how it’s done in the business world, is there to blame for their relegation than Celtic.

And then there’s Eddie.  You and I didn’t really discuss this at the time.  A photo circulated showing the keeper took him out, but that was ‘fake news’ as it was not of the penalty incident in the 2019 final.  Hand on heart; I think we got away with one then.  A goal down in the second half, Odsonne Edouard took control; before you knew it, you were celebrating a Treble Treble.

I do not respect Heart of Midlothian FC whatsoever, but I respect any opponent who can so readily cultivate the unifying resentment that can produce results like the 4-0 that ended Celtic’s world record 69 domestic games unbeaten.  This is a proper team, better than most in the Premiership and more than capable of winning on Sunday.  If we are one inch less prepared than them, we will lose.

Before the Lille and Kilmarnock wins I saw a shroud of defeat ahead at Hampden.  We may have turned it around just in time, but for now, the stomach remains knotted.

  2. HS- definitely been an orchestrated campaign by the rags,to get after Barkas IMO, not played as well as we hoped, but not as bad as made out.McShagger has sold 2 goals in 2 games for Sevco, not a word of criticism anywhere, he is a weak link there.

The trouble with `orchestrated campaigns` by the rags is that many Celtic supporters who, apparently, can make their own minds up, reflect those very views :-). Just a coincidence, I am sure.

Propoganda machine in full swing. Been doing it for years with former Celtic managers. Glad to say the written media no longer has the sway it once had. Don’t understand why anyone would buy a red top rag.

` with O’Sullivan playing on at one point despite needing 17 snookers.`

    Why did he do that?

Probably trying to slow down Trump’s momentum, he was flying, and he hadn’t been at the table much, so he did need the practice, por cierto.

  13. Hello again all you young rebels.

From a lovely balmy evening in Mornington town, capitol of the

    state of Celtica.

Great day at the beach, sashayed along the waters edge with my

svelt like figure perfectly showing how a Celtic top should be worn.

Just seen that picture St Stivs posted of Bertie Auld in the hoops,

    Doesn’t he look immaculate ?

Can’t understand our lot with all these white tops sticking down

from short sleeved hoops, looks dishevelled to me.

Anyhows if they win the Quad tomorrow with feckin rainbow type

ribbons on the sleeves, I’ll be happy as a pig in shit.

In my wee caravan now with internet, somehow the princess learned

how to connect wifi from iPhone to computer, amazing.

Knew I picked a winner all those years ago.

Better get my beauty sleep now, big day tomorrow, a CSC party and

    a Quadruple treble awaits.

I should be so lucky… lucky… lucky.. lucky

Wee Kyley Minogue what a babe, and family all Celtic mad.

  14. I watched some of O’Sullivan v Selby in the Scottish open. There were a few games that Ronnie had no chance of winning and he just kept playing. It wasn’t as if he needed the potting practise, as some were in later frames. Ronnie just seemed to be at it, maybe trying to unsettle Selby. I’m not sure how they get on but I know he likes Higgins and can’t imagine him doing the same in a match against John.

  16. A few days ago, someone posted stats on Penalties received etc. They also posted a Premiership PPV Table where Ross County were `Top` at 124 pounds and Sevco bottom at zero pounds ( We were second bottom at 43 pounds). What exactly does that mean? Who actually paid the 124 pounds etc and to whom did they pay it??

  17. Petec 11.57am

Cheers, hope you & the Bhoy get to see your team in real life sooner rather than later ….

Watching Palace have more of the ball than Liverpool but Liverpool devastating on the break … could be similar to our game tomorrow at times, am not writing off the 3rd biggest wage payers in the country … but would be happy with a wee 3-0 half time lead tomorrow :-)

Yep. Propoganda. Repeat, repeat, repeat. Plenty of outlets and punters up here ready and willing to propogate it. It’s great that modem technology allows a now multitude of celtic blogs, forums and podcasts to combat the utter tripe we see.

  19. HS- the money is paid by fans to watch their team on PPV, when the game isn’t on Sky,the money goes to the home teams. The bottom line is, every Sevco away game has been live on Sky,and the great unwashed haven’t had to pay any money, what a surprise…..
