Its a beautiful song and when i heard it today i just wanted everything to stop so the supports rendition of it could be heard.

Hopefully it’s Brendan’s first of at least five. We look like a Celtic team this season, showing that there really is a Celtic way of playing the game. HH

Have been feeling poorly all weekend and am working tomorrow so proper 6 in a row celebrations will happen next weekend.
That said, nothing like the Bhoys being back to make you feel so much better and today’s performance was brilliant.
In Brendan we have a bright, articulate Manager who the SMSM simply cannot handle and all the way through the team we have star after star, players who trust each other and believe in each other.
As Broony said in his post match interview, 10 games to go and looking forward to each and every one of them.
Well done to all of our fans at Tynecastle today, superb singing throughout to silence the horrible home support as evidenced by their treatment of Lustig first half.
Only downside for me this weekend is my bad spelling as I’ve just noticed I’ve spelt my Week One GFS team as Man Utd instead of Aberdeen, I’m sure CRC and Jobo will put a correction through for me :-) ☘
Right. Battery needs recharged, phone anyway. Wife watching the Voice, which has a few good singers on show This Lent is suppressing my celebrations but that is not a bad thing. Looking forward to Hampden now.

From Tom English report
“Rodgers tells a story about Dedryck Boyata that cuts to the heart of what he looks for in a player. Boyata was out of the Celtic team and almost a forgotten man. Rodgers had given him things to work on to improve his performance but the centre-half was still nowhere the first team.
One evening Rodgers had to run a late-night errand to Lennoxtown. It was around midnight when he left. He heard some noise coming from the gym and poked his head around the door. In there on his own, working away, was Boyata. Rodgers knew in that moment that the Belgian was not finished at Celtic. A player with that kind of desire is exactly what the Northern Irishman wants at his club.”

Cowiebhoy: All good CSC’s have left someone behind one tie or another…..
Great day, thought our performance until the first goal was second best – Brown was extremely wasteful with the ball – and our 2 CB’s were the best players on the pitch for the first half. Armstrong took control in the second and for what appeared to him having a quiet game from the stand, TV sees Roberts having 3 assists and scoring a wonder goal. Glad to see Scott Sinclair scoring a hat-trick, he is our most important player.
one thing, the whole game was rather muted even the celebrations in the stands. lots of good guys missed today and with so little of us being there and the demographic who got tickets the usual verve of the away support seemed to be missing. if there was a poor place to win the league then tynecastle was it.
but, as a child of the 90’s, it’s another special memory. it’s never bad to win the league.
Played fitty down your way many years ago on Scottish Cup duty.
There were 2 Scottish Cups in Amateur fitty at the time(is it still the same?)
Anyway…..got drawn at home in 1 of them and away in the other v a team called Dunure Ayr.
League secretary said he had never seen 2 teams getting each other in both cups and certainly not so early in the tournaments!
Bit mad back then and when we driving back up through the Fenwick Moor stretch we were racing each other but having to drive close enough to each others cars so they could pass beer to each other out the windows at about 100 mph!
Young n daft!

Had a VERY brief songs debate with a hun workmate a while ago.
Cannae remember how it came about but i asked him to sing 1 of their songs that was just a fitba song or about their team without any sectarian baggage.
Im still staggered by his response to this day and honestly……he was serious when he started to sing the billy boys!

Well guys great victory today for us Bhoys n Ghirls.
Keep the prayers and thoughts sailing the seven seas to Christchurch NZ for young Dan, my nieces fiancé who celebrated his 24th birthday yesterday (NZ time) with a T-bone steak having earlier in the day had his first chemo treatment.
Dinny hog the blog though just keep them thoughts and prayers coming.
Thanks to those who have already fired them off and lit a wee candle for him today.
Just watched the game again. Only realised at the end that we were wearing the Hoops. Thank Ghod for that. Can’t understand why we don’t do that every game. Far better than the alternatives we use.
One wee question: when can an o.g. be chalked off?
