HENDERSON LOAN MOVE HINGES ON BITTON & MULGREW

CELTIC midfielder Liam Henderson could be poised for a shock loan move to Rosenborg if Nir Bitton’s international injury scare is not too serious.

The Norwegian side have made a move for the 18-year-old Hoops star who is currently in Austria with Scotland’s Under-19 squad for the Euro Finals.
Ronny Deila could give the move the go-ahead for the youngster who has made 15 appearances and scored once for the SPFL champions this season.
However, the only thing that could scupper the deal is the fact Nir Bitton was injured in Israel’s 3-0 loss to Wales on Saturday night and the club may need cover.

Henderson scored twice in Scotland Under-19s first Euro Elite Round win over Austria, but sat out Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Italy through suspension.

Rosenborg coach Kare Ingebrigtsen refused to rule the move out.

He said: “I can’t comment right now on players coming in or out the club.”

Charlie Mulgrew’s progress back from a long term injury could also be a factor in whether Liam Henderson is allowed to head to Rosenborg.
