HERO WATT COULD FACE CELTS

FORMER Celtic Champions League hero Tony Watt could be heading back to Scotland.

Hearts boss Robbie Neilson is interested in taking the 22-year-old striker on a season-long loan from Championship outfit Charlton.

Watt scored eight goals in 34 appearances for the Hoops, most notably the winner in the Champions League group match against Barcelona at a sold-out Parkhead in November 2012.

However, he failed to impress incoming boss Ronny Deila and was sold to Belgian side Standard Liege in July 2014. He moved to Charlton in January the following year.

Watt, who has been capped once at senior level by Scotland, had loan spells with Cardiff City and Blackburn Rovers last season. A deal to take him to Tynecastle could be completed this week.

Ironically, he could make his league debut against the five-in-a-row champions in the season’s opener in Edinburgh on Sunday, August 7.
