Panic on the streets of Govan…Panic on the streets of Sandy Row…Larkhall, Harthill, Renfrewshire…

*My wife’s oul auntie had a saying which she regularly said “be careful what you wish for”. Wonder if the huns that were laughing last Tuesday still are, as my da used tae say tae me “you’ll be laughing on the other side of your face”.

Good grief- now you’re our musical professor. Does anything gets past you. Mighty impressive. SOT has competition!

Wonderful result and performance this evening. Never felt threatened by Petrie’s less than hibernian Hibernian.

  3. Better Celtic side, took to the diseased field of Easter Rd than did the last time, when we experimented with a naïve back three underestimating Hibs losing two preventable goals and three points with a whimper.

Two sublime finishes and a performance that proved players could be different in their perceptions of how to react to the loss of one boss, for another, and Neil Lennon adjusted his new Celtic side and closed the door on the breakaway side, he left behind.

Euan Henderson was excellent and arguably Jeremy Toljan was fine the other night, on the other side of buckfasting Edinburgh, but NFL put his ‘I’ll do it my way ‘ marker down quickly and for motivation there is nothing like Broony not Browny. Celtic simply measured Hibs up in the first half, and the second half especially was a joy to behold with two of the finest strikes and flowing one and two touch passing football which reduced Hibs to rubble, despite their two banks of five playing for the crumbs on the break in their own back yard.

James Forrest continues in the form of his life with a goal that was probably the goal of any lifetime never mind just the former escape goat’s, Scott Brown’s like a fine wine, many a time in his playing days he’d take a touch, and hit that over the bar for fun, instead of nearly getting it through the rigging and into the Leith Celtic end, as he did today. Nir Bitton is like a new signing, and Keiran Tierney is a major key to the rebel, treble treble.

McGregor, Christie, Ntcham, Rogic, Griffiths, still in the wings for this blessed and lucky lucky Celtic generation.

Is that BLESS ED or BLESS ‘D?

  5. Evening Celts, not been on for a while busy moving house, country, retiring etc bit like the last manager.

Thought I’d post my wee song to our manager who we know so well:

His name is Neil Lennon, and he’s the leader of our team and

And well he knows the hatred for the wearing o the Green.

His name is writ in Celtic, so History will be told.

And now we’ve got him back watch the glory days unfold.

His name is Neil Lennon, and he’s the leader of our team……

    mon the rebel treble treble

as if today couldn’t get any better – Paul Blart Mall Cop is on the telly.

*I have no doubt that a young SoT would remember those days.

  8. Well done Lenny and the bhoys, magnificent result, great goals once again…

Thought our midfield was very solid, Hibs can be dangerous up front, never got a sniff…

We had no right go play with such fluidity at Easter Road with it bucketeting down… brilliant.

Chuffed for Lenny, a tough week now over.

    Hail Hail

  9. In ’38 there was a show…

Glasgow was the place to go…

England sent 4 of the best…

    HH. ??

  10. Not read back …

Terrific day oot in the company of many many lifelong Celtic fans

So apt Jamesy F & Scotty B scored the goals for our Lenny

Weet Weet Weet without knowing what happened around Christmas big Brian & Michael were asking after you

2 terrific results in the capital, a difficult week football wise finished off perfectly by a real Celtic legend

    Hail blinking Hail

  11. Great end to a crazy week. Make no mistake that double trip to Edinburgh were 2 of the toughest games we could get. To go out & win both after all the hassle is a magnificent achievement .

We have a week now to recuperate before the push to close out the League. Hopefully Burke won’t be joining the missing in action Brigade. Can’t ever remember a season so bad for injuries.

  12. STBF good point. However we must also keep the pressure on other clubs or the Klan will turn into us v Them. To be fair I don’t think there is any will in Scotland to tackle this problem as Sevco fans are serial offenders and the Establishment won’t stand up to them. You only have to look at what happend in the last week, after years of Them being “up to their knees,,,”. One vile song in a pub by Celtic fans and it’s first item on BBC news and the polis are all over it. If it ever becomes “Strict liability” you and I know which club will be pursued most vigorously.

Great stuff from the soon to be, ‘Lennon’s Lion’s’ ! ✊

Bitton was hugely impressive, seems to have bulked up, he could go on to be a player of what you would describe as a, “being from the Celtic mould” sort of player, good luck to him.

The fans as usual, did what they know they have to do, after Brendan’s departure, they started to compile their new script, and so it will go on, until, or, if, new money finds its way into ibrox and a new ebt sort of scheme gets under way, and all the dark arts will be wheeled out to play, again.

I say, again, because, any dark artist’s who may be sitting waiting for a call, fully in the knowledge that, they’ve done it before, and walked away from it, so, who, or what, would stop them from doing it again ?

A little voice keeps informing me that, “once there is a reunification of the island of Ireland, which will be soon, then Scotland will want independence from England, and any allegiance to the crown, then the OO will disappear, and so will Rangers FC.”

    Simples. ? ✊

    Back to lurking. HH.

I reckon wee Wullie copped out of the Burke trip decision because he wasn’t sure if it was inside or outside the box and wouldn’t risk giving a penalty . Of one thing I’m sure though…..he saw it. Probably with all 4 of his eyes. No wonder Stevie G gave him his jotters.

Wee willie is a cheat… eyes in the back of his heid when it suits him but then canny see what’s in front of him….

Agree it’s British nationalism that’s the issue

  17. Slightly(?) jaundiced view from BBC. Who does he think is capable of toppling is?

Work to be done for Lennon – analysis

BBC Scotland’s Brian McLauchlin at Easter Road

After Neil Lennon received a warm if slightly muted welcome from the home support, the game was played in a highly charged atmosphere.

The action on the pitch was fairly tame and the fact it took two wonder strikes to win it and there was only one other shot on target is evidence enough that there is plenty of work to be done if the interim manager is to lead Celtic to another treble. However, back-to-back victories in Edinburgh is a solid start to his second spell in charge.

Hibs lacked firepower and although striker Flo Kamberi put in a shift to try and get one over on his old boss the home team rarely threatened. Next up for Paul Heckingbottom is a visit from Rangers on Friday. A similarly lacklustre performance may bring about a similar outcome.

  18. BIG PACKY 1 on 2ND MARCH 2019 8:12 PM

vmhan nice to see you posting, are you still in the blackpool area.hh.

    ………………

Cheers big Packy, no I’ve moved back up the road to fair Caledonia, land of the Kelts and the Westminster loving unionists.

    Big Packy

Only watched on a shaky stream that kept breaking up but I thought SS was poorish in the first half (not the only one) and improved in the second half. When he’s being closely marked with defenders challenging very ‘robustly’ he often doesn’t fancy it. When he is allowed to play football , SS is a great player IMO

  20. Ramos is an Uber hun. Horrible man. Hope wee Lionel rips the p out of him in the second half. Not that I’ll be watching anymore. The main attraction ended 2-0 with Lenny’s two Classico’s doing the business. Take a bow Jamesie and Broony. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

  21. Jimmynotpaul on

A tremendous result and, once again, Jamesie, what a player.

I reckon a section of the support will only appreciate him when he’s gone.

    Moving on

    Hmmm.

It’s not only fans who indulge in whataboutery.

A statement from Hibernian said two bottles were thrown during the match, with one from their own fans and another from the away support.
