Improper Registration charge for corrupting 700 games still to hit

1256

At some point today those who believed Rangers have, or should have, impunity from the law of the land, as well as the rules and regulations of Scottish football, will awaken to the realisation that this is not the case.

Soon thereafter another thought will arrive: what about the impending Improper Registration of Players charge?

Over a decade of subverting every competition they have played in.  Denying clubs who register players correctly the right to compete on a level playing field.  Grabbing prize money and the abundant financial rewards of Champions League football rightly due to others – more on this later in the week.

This charge brings every domestic and European competition they played in into disrepute and is several times the magnitude than that which Rangers were punished for yesterday.  Then consider bringing the game into disrepute by chasing football bling instead of paying taxes, a separate issue from player registration.

The toxicity of these charges is enormous and if upheld will bring punishments appropriate for corrupting over 700 football games.  A whole raft of disciplinary procedures has still to take place.  If the misdemeanours of the Craig Whyte era have caused distress, those of the old board, including Ogilvie, Johnston and the Murray twins, will soon establish Rangers current owner as a mere footnote in the club’s demise.

Show of hands, who sat on the board that spent £4m on Jelavic two years after the HMRC investigation into EBTs started?

  1. I wonder why the SFA investigated and reported today on Rangers more recent wrongdoings, i.e. those committed under Craig Whyte.

Why not investigate and report on the longer term dual contracts, EBT and financial skullduggery, under Murray’s reign, as the priority issue.

If it had been done in this order, and the scale of their wrongdoing revealed, then we might be spared their atrocious violin playing and their rendition of “poor poor pitiful me”.

The SFA seem to have played into the hands of those wishing to believe that if it hadnae been for Craig Whyte, rangers would be squeaky clean.

Can I just say thankyou to all of those who have pledged money for Niamh Curry– I get e-mails telling me that CQN must be full of the most charitable people on earth!!!

Sorry for posting this again but please read, donate if possible and please please sign the petition. It really could make a huge difference to hundreds if not thousands of people.

I am sorry to labor this but have a look at the following names:

    Bailey Sarwa aged 12

    Leighton Cook aged 4

    Jack Morton aged 4

All of these kids suffer from Neuroblastoma.

In Bailey Sarwa’s case the dreaded disease came back after 7– yes SEVEN– years.

This is a living nightnmare for families especially in the realisation that if the disease comes back there is just no protocol for treating the disease in this country, and so you get bozo’s like me boring everyone to death with it and asking for people’s hard earned cash when that money could be doing something else.!

This is a national disgrace. Treatments are available which would avoid all this fundraising and which would give these kids and their parents some surety that there is a life saving treatment without having to raise phenominal sums of money to save an innocent’s life.

Everyone knows that cancer of any kind is aggravated by stress and distress. The cost to the NHS in ancillary treatments for family and friends must amount to a fair sum.

So please sign the petition below and bring as much pressure as possible to bear on Government who seem to be oblivious to the fact that the treatment needs licensed here in the UK– or even Europe which is much closer than Philadelphia.

Please Raise awareness of Neuroblastoma by Government funded high profile national campaign – Sign the Petition http://www.gopetition.com/petition/42787.html

In march of this year, 18 month old Sophie Atay lost her battle with Neuroblastoma and sadly died. Not every story has a happy ending but it is down to us to try and do something so that there is never the need to print a list like that above on CQN again!

God forbid that Oscar’s treatment does not deal with his condition successfully. If not then we will all be out running 10k’s, going to bake sales, selling jerseys and whatever else for Oscar.

Let’s not wait till that is necessary. Please sign the petition and remember Niamh– and all the others.

    Thanks

  6. Aston Villa have organised two matches against Celtic in aid of Stiliyan Petrov.

The Bulgarian international’s two British clubs will face one another as part of their pre-season preparations ahead of their next two campaigns.

The games will be played at Villa Park and Celtic Park, preceded by matches involving former players from both clubs.

It is expected that the money raised after administrative expenses will go towards Leukaemia research.

Petrov also organised for Villa’s first-team to contribute to a benevolent fund for the club’s former players – despite just having heard the diagnosis about his illness.

A source said: ‘It was the action of a true captain.’

  7. Re Chelsea and hun debate part of it goes back to when both sets of fans had an association with the ICF ( Inter City Firm ) a very scummy organisation, those were the days of the Chelsea headhunters. I have personal experience of getting a kicking off 4 of them ( 2 huns and 2 Chelsea fans) at the Oktoberfest in Munich. 1989 was the year and the huns played Bayern, the Chelsea fans had travelled to support the huns. In 25 years of Oktoberfests that is the one and only time I ever had trouble at the beer fest. Never liked Chelsea since, never will!!!

  8. I just watched Stuart Cosgrove on C4 playback. Both Cosgrove and Tam Cowan have been, by far, the most honest pundits on the Hun situation. Both have ridiculed their pals in the media for their protection of Moonbeams.

  10. On Chelsea.

The pub that Rodow1, The Honest Mistake, myself and a few others watched the games in for the last couple of seasons is a ‘Chelsea pub’. All decent folk, but like many Londoners don’t miss an opporchancity to point out the similarities between a Walt Disney mainstay and the SPL. Ho hum.

However, some of the aforementioned decent folk also mentioned more ‘hardcore’ pubs around the place that even they feared to use.

The linky thing with RFC(IA) was – according to older-timers – forged by the arrival of BFDJ at Chelsea in 1980something at the height of the bad times on english terraces.

Visiting Huns (was there a testimonial/friendly game attached to the deal?) and the Chelsea hardcore – gates of 15,000ish – found common ground. So I’m told.

Went to that friendly against Chelsea a few years ago. Unwisely took public transport wearing the Hoops. Came quite close to a serious assault on a couple of occasions that evening.

But then, back in the bad days at Chelsea they were one of those teams that had never really had a black British (or otherwise) player when every other team had had a few, until Paul Canonville became the first and took a serious amount of grief for it.

Now it’s entirely commonplace to see black Londoners in Chelsea colours.

Lots of Battersea folk I know that support Chelsea have a proud Irish heritage. They just support their local team.

I think the ‘orrible right-wing fringe at Chelsea is far too entrenched to ever wither away, but it is mostly a fringe these days.

Maybe some of that makes some sense…:)

  13. Snake Plissken on

Just watched the FPLG’s pathetic inflammatory interview so here are my thoughts:

The Rangers support should ask themselves two simple questions:

    1. Did you cheer for Craig Whyte when he became the chairman?

    2. Did you scoff at the BBC documentary?

If the answer is yes to either of above then you have no point of reference and you deserve all you have had since.

If you say you were duped because Keith Jackson wrote PR lies down as facts then let me asked you another question:

If Keith Jackson told you you could breath underwater would you try it?

We now have the Fat PLG telling us that the English FA helped Portsmouth to survive – but only when they went in for the second time, not the first time, you rocket.

His language in that interview about fighting back is inflammatory in the extreme and had Neil Lennon said anything like that he’d have been hung drawn and quartered by the impartial Scottish media.

What you think you can do fat man and what the neanderthals you call supporters will do if they can find the bus fare are two different things.

Protest all you like. It will make no difference. Big L coming soon.

What the Rangers fans and the Fat PLG don’t seem to get is the SFA will get lent on by UEFA if they issue a paltry little sanction. If they reduce or retract this punishment and the EBT/double contracts comes up with Rangers guilty of yet more cheating – what will happen then?

Remember Ogilvie knows all about EBTs and will have told the SFA his full knowledge since Alex Thomson started asking them basic questions.

    AS for McMoist,

This guy is now sitting there blaming Craig Whyte for everything. He is as bad as the hacks who turned on Craigy boy. Scratch that. He is worse. He actually knew all about him. He spoke to him. He knew his budget, he knew there was no war chest and he worked day to day with Whyte and said nothing to the excrement hit the fan. Now he’s the martyr. Tripe.

No Super Swally. You and the cardigan before you spent money on players that you did not have and that would never be paid in full. These were players that your club and Blue Knight Paul Murray who no doubt kept you in the loop vis a vis transfers (with an undisputed Tax bill of 4M quid) allowed you and yours to sign players last season to win you a league you should have been nowhere near. You drove yourselves into deep debt to stop the Celtic juggernaut from 4 or 5 or 7 in a row as without the EBTs and the 32Million quid spend you’d be facing 9iar Mark 2. Were you a total failure at school or are you bereft of a calculator to do the math on how much in total the team you have on the park actually cost? Well obviously you are as you, the cardigan and the halfwit players ran around with Nae dough three in a row T-shirts while outspending Celtic.

Therein lies the very essence of the Rangers folly. They honestly believe and believe that Walter Nosurname spent nothing to bring them success. They love the truth, it’s facts they cannot stand.

They all sat and took Murray’s one man band (no pun intended) style of running Rangers and lorded it over everyone and now they get an owner who treats them as bigger fools than Murray knew them to be but who does a bad thing for them they want disassociation of club, fans, management and players with this owner. Sheer hypocrisy and sheer denial in equal spades.

No Dark Mingwall, FPLG, Dawwell King and every other apologist and buffoon out there. Rangers did this to themselves COLLECTIVELY.

You all cheered for Murray and his Moonbeams

You all cheered for Whyte and the Fakeover

You all jeered the BBC and protested

You all waved tenners at Celtic fans

You all tried to discredit CQN, Phil McGhiollaBhain, RTC, Alex Thomson and Paul McConville AND every online Celtic supporting internet bampot

    They were right.

    You were wrong.

And now you want a free pass without anyone from your club offering an apology to any creditor, supporter or member of the general public who may have been affected by on-field cheating and the withholding of Tax.

Well all of you can go and do one.

You have so many bills go and mobilize your worldwide support to pay it if they love the club so much.

If you can pay, you can stay.

The SFA did the right thing for a change and now you canny stand it.

Welcome to a level playing field.
