What’s the difference between VVD’ s foul for the second yellow, and the foul on SA in the box?
Should be 1-0 to us v 10 men, not 0-0 down to 10 men.

It’s like 12 v 9 with that Ref and JG still on the park. Deffo wrong sub. Big Hartson would be quicker than Guidetti. Watch this, he’ll probably score. .. in off his big fat erse !
10 men winning in Milan is going to be some story…

always interesting being a Celtic man….0-2 down after 14 minutes …or behind the 2nd door …you lose your best defender and play a half with 10 men…hahahaha

Wrong sub should have hooked Guidetti who is posing no threat as opposed to GMS.

I agree with that.

Anyhoo, we are where we are.
VVD- silly 2nd foul IMHO. Yellow was harsh.
SB has chosen to have one of his poorer games. Hopefully improves 2nd half.
AM has been good. Izzy has been iffy. Thought Bitton improved as game went on and SJ has been a tad unlucky on a couple of occasions.
Armstrong is quiet as is JG.

What do the Uefa Observer do at these games? We know that they can report unfounded lies from a Police Match Commander, but what else do they do// Surely this ref must be reported for at least incompetence. Why do refs from minor leagues keep turning up for important games like this?

Incompetent (or crooked) ref once again costing us in Europe.
*wonder if the bonkle bigot is still involved with EUFA.
EUFA offered Dallas police protection after he awarded Italy a controversial late penalty in their 2–1 win over Turkey at Euro 2000. Turkey coach Mustafa Denizli called the decision “unforgivable” while furious Turkish fans jeered and pelted Dallas with missiles. The Sabah newspaper termed Dallas “the ref of nightmares” the following day and Clive Thomas suggested Dallas’ performance was marked by a lack of courage and an inability to keep up with play.

Looks really bad, not really settled and the sending off has ruined the game. Can’t see why ref was to keen to ruin the game and although VVD tackles were meaty felt the second yellow was the softer of the two. Ref knows what he is doing in playing to the home team and the poor so soft and vulnerable Inter players,,,,,,its to obvious the play hard to get ref on side…………short of some kind of Scottish miracle there is only one way you can see this Italian affair going. No pen for us and just before the pressure on VVD no clear corner for us, what’s the official on the goal line for anyway !

In the, now, unlikely event that we score I guarantee the ref will award a penalty against us.
Seeing the second yellow there it was an even worse decision than the first. Worst decision though was not giving us a second corner for the Inter booting it out . Oh or the Armstrong penalty shout.
Playing quite well but big task now

canny believe people having a go at VVD,
first one not a foul,
second one a coming together until wee dick Icardi waves the imaginary card

Agree.
But also naive on both occasions. Esp the 2nd -albeit it was even less of a foul.
If we’d sussed the ref as a clown by that point so Too should VVD.

Gordon has redeemed himself big time. A few world class saves, OK on one it was offside but he didn’t know that and kept it out. Like earlier poster I would have taken Guidetti off instead of GMS. However we are where we are in this match, and one thing is for sure, we now have a bloody good team.
We need to start the second half playing a bit cleverly. Try to draw some of the Inter players into 40-60 tackles in an effort to force a mis-timed challenge that might lead to a yellow or red card. And if we do get into their box we should be trying to manufacture another penalty claim (if a clear scoring opportunity doesn’t present itself). The ref surely can’t deny a third strong penalty claim without his bosses being forced to ask serious questions about his ability/impartiality.
If you can’t box equally then box clever.

JG, although more physical than some options, is not actually winning much aerially. I think KC must come on

We are playing well.
We are being positive and having a go.
At Inter Milan.
In the San Siro.
Until the sending off I was quietly confident we could get a result.
While this will be harder, I am in no way despondent.
We can win this.
That is a clear marker of how far we have come since the summer.
Ok can we keep it tight and score late on with a Commons wonder goal.
Ain’t it amazing how often the trumpet referees are the story in football matches?
Right Bhoys, superhuman 45 required!
Should’ve been JD rather than GMS to be subbed though never two bookings.
Armstrong was a penalty.
Go all out for 15 mins to get a goal, then damage limitation.
At least VVD and GMS will be well rested for Sunday. Anyone else think Broonie not started yet?
EC67
Once again we come up against an absolute homer of a referee… Not sure how we can win this unless they are also reduced to ten.
Gutted as we were growing on confidence…
Huge decision have fine the way of Inter. Small decisions have gone the way of Inter. Celtic with XI looked promising.
It’s now a very distorted game, we can’t draw too much from the second half should we as I expect, lose a few.
Ten man huddle and we are off.
Walk On.
