No apologies needed for me from anyone. It’s all cool, in this season of seasons (well, except maybe one or two.)
Glee was a word that occurred to me as Moussa tapped in the second.
Does anyone remember when supporters of the Real Rangers Team (see what I did there) perverted Yellow Submarine? We all live in an orange submarine, they sang lustfully. And then, spontaneously, as we gubbed them by 4 at Ibrox in an early round of the Glasgow Cup (3 to the Flying Flea, 1to King Billy), we broke into ‘we’ve just sunk an orange submarine’. Gleefully. Joy I had experienced a few months earlier when we gubbed them by 4 at Parkheid as it was then. Stevie Chalmers hat trick that time. But the humour of it, that was glee.
I like to think, for Pablophanque’s sake if for no other, that they never again took The Beatles work in vain. But they certainly didn’t stick with it as little no as we did with Gerry Marsden.
Glee is a heady mixture of happy and joyful and successful things. These are Gleeful Times. Not to be wasted by small miseries.
And not to be confused with serious life events, for any who are grieving or worried about real life.

Another frustrating night for those of us who took Moussa at 9/1 for a hat-trick on Bet Victor…
Two agonies in a row. I’ll get yeez on Sunday, ya teasing bams; the weans won’t eat Saturday…
A thing of meelow wonder it is to watch the current Hoops dismantle the SPL cluggers. Even Damien ‘666’ Dallas’ reluctance to show a first-half yellow when GMS got chopped at the knees right in front of him couldn’t upset the Beautiful Imbalance (see what I did there, 80s pop fans?).
And tonight was another training game on the way to the season’s coup de grace – the 7+ pumping of the Hate Factory’s XI on the glorious 12th.
‘Cannon’ Foderingham better have superglue on his mitts a week on Sunday, or the Empire’s last bastion of quintessential Britishness will be metaphorically senselessly buggered in true public school tradition, as approved by Sir Richard Gough… Camptown racetrack’s five miles long, don’tcha know?
And on the subject of controversial songs (pure quality seguay there…) – if, like me, you watched the game on a pub telly with some choice brew or on yer erse on the sofa with the missus safely locked away entranced by soaps (UnapologeticallySexistCSC) and didn’t make the hunners-o-miles round trip to Monsterville amid the frozen Northern wastes, please refrain from passing a SMSM-friendly, hand-wringing, cheek-sucking condemnation over yer night-time single-malt dram on a handful of Irish folk songs the hardcore support chose to underscore their joyous evening with.
